Food was very good but very slow to the table with at least 45 minutes from completing our cheese plate to receiving our entree’s. While this was the longest wait of our trip, it was not extreme. However, it was a bit less tolerable due to our server abandoning us and our wine order until our food came up.
Tourist trap avoid this place.
We had a party of 7.
Appetizers fair to good
Entrees fair to poor
Waitress was rather mechanical
We had a quiet dinner on a Friday night. Sat at the beautiful stone counter and watched the cooks at work. They made us amazing grilled Louisiana oysters and a blackened fish that was to die for.
When we arrived I had an odd feeling about Trinity because the bar and most tables were empty and it was a Saturday night. We were sat in the back in a booth. Nice booth. We ordered cocktails which took about 12 minutes to receive. I was ready to leave at that point, but my guests wanted to stick it out.
We decided to order 2 appetizers, duck & pork belly. They were out of the duck so we opted for chargrilled oysters instead. The appetizers took about 30 minutes to come out. Mind you, the restaurant was basically empty. The pork belly had great flavor and texture but could’ve been a bit hotter temperature wise. The chargrilled oysters weren’t good. I may be partial because I am a local, but they were grilled with butter and seasoning and a tiny bit of parmesan was on top.
Due to the amount of time it took to get our cocktails and appetizers as well as the confusion between who our server was (the short woman with short red hair or the tall woman with dark brown hair) We decided to end our evening prior to ordering entrees.
In addition, there is 1 male/female restroom that has 1 toilet. It smelt awful and the door lock didn’t work so my husband had to stand outside the door blocking intruders while I was inside.
We attended Trinity for my birthday to attend the Drag Brunch. I could not have asked for a more memorable event! The entertainment was out of this world and the service was extraordinary. Not to mention, the food itself was delicious as well. We are thinking of making this a yearly tradition!
We attended drag brunch here and it was AMAZING. The show, food, & service were all perfect. We cannot wait to go back!
How is this place still open?
They have a very very good Brunch on Sunday’s. The chef is very knowledgeable and very approachable. My wife and I will be back when we are in NOLA again!
We were seated in the bar area so that bartender was assigned to us but it was too much for her to handle so service was not great. Every time we needed something we had to flag her down. I don't recommend sitting in bar area unless you are sitting at the bar.
Drag queen heaven
Excellent food and service. One of our favorite restaurants in the quarter.
Loved the drag brunch. The food was delicious! Best cheese grits we have ever had.
So. Much. Fun. Perfect drag Brunch for our girls weekend!
Excellent food and service. Tasty dishes and kind people.
It was New Years Eve and it felt like the staff was harried but the restaurant was not overly crowded. The food seemed pre- prepared and the waiter would disappear for too long at a time.
The champagne served with the meal was terrible so we had to buy a good bottle.
Overall, it was just okay not meant for a special
If I can stop even one person from considering this place a viable option for drinks or dinner, this review is well served.
We went at 5:50 on a Saturday, there were seats at the bar available and it took us a half an hour to be acknowledged. We should have just left.
The drinks were great, but very very expensive for being treated so poorly. Other people talk about how he host or bar staff was rude, but like.... they didn’t say anything rude or act rude other than not even looking at us at all.
We wanted to get dinner but ended up checking out with a bar tender that wasn’t even on our section cause out guy just vanished
We ended up going to a great greasy spoon two doors down Called flambos, 10/10 service, immediate and friendly bar tender who was SWAMPED with drunk people and handled and respected us way better than at trinity
Great time at the brunch with the Queens!
Fairly good. Sat at the grill overlooking food preparation. Entertaining.
Maitri’d was arrogant and rude. Very disappointing to the start of a meal. But meal, waiter and even the bar tender made up for the beginning.
Delicious chicken trinity and great fresh fish meal.
The place wasn’t too busy but our waiter was pleasant and everything was delicious
Awesome experience - great ambience and a menu that has the customer begging for more!
The food was delectable. The wine was amazing. The staff were incredible. Thank you so much!
I think we were not there on a good night. The staff was having a holiday party, and perhaps they had a stand-in chef in the kitchen. Much of the food was far too salty, and some of the spices/seasoning unevenly distributed such that one end of the fish was OK, but another was like a salt lick. This was true for the vegetables that came with the chicken as well. We could not actually finish our food. Unfortunate.
Great dinner to catch up with close friends
From the minute we walked in the door, we knew we had made a mistake. The place was empty at the dinner hour. The host was so full of attitude that it was very off putting. The sourdough bread was very foul tasting and dry, starter chargrilled oysters were a disaster, the Wagyu steak was terrible and very tough. Our waiter was nice enough and the catfish was not bad. Drinks were very expensive. This place does not deserve the four plus star rating it currently has. It really needs a restaurant rescue! We will never go back.
Almost too comical call what we had as an appetizer Oysters. In New Orleans to serve Oysters the size of quarters or smaller is bad for business.
We were seating at the back of room at a booth with very limited visibility to the show. The performers barely came by our area and didn’t feel that we saw a show. Waiters were super busy and overwhelmed to keep up with everyone but they tried their best to take care of us. I would not go back.
We went to the Saturday drag brunch. The food was very good, against new Orleans it certainly holds it's own.
The show was a blast. We went as a group of four and had so much fun. The guys , who were less excited about the brunch,,,had huge fun.
It's not for children or anyone who is afraid of a little good clean, though not prudish fun.
It great for the rest of us.
Everyone so nice. The performers were so friendly and entertaining. Everyone was into the show. Although geared for adults, it was not raunchy. Just fun!
Food was good and very reasonably priced. Need more seasoning.
Poor service and average food...not what’s to be expected from 4.3 Star Rating.
The staff were very nice but the food was terrible. Even the bread had a foul taste. I ended getting sick from my meal. I shared with some NOLa co-workers and they know people who also got sick from their meals. I wish I would have asked for reviews!
Wonderful brunch! The food was delicious and the Trinity Ladies put on a great show. We made 3 separate reservations for a party of 8, but luckily we spoke with Daisy and were able to sit at the same spot. We will be back!
Very very slow service. the wait person could not remember anything. The Bagel was very very over toasted. The service was very slow for a 2 pm Sunday Brunch. There were 3 tables around us but took a long time to order food, plus a long time getting the food. It is not worth to go consider the numbers of the restaurants at French Quarter.
Really poor service. Quiche really average. Outside dining great!
French fries were great! The catfish could use a little more seasoning but still good. The steak my friend had was way better. Next trip, I'm ordering that.
Love love love Saturday drag brunch! Bottomless mimosas are a must! And the queens were great!
The fair review is mostly due to an OpenTable error. We arrived in NOLA in the evening, so we specifically looked for a restaurant that stayed open later. OpenTable had the closing time at 11pm, making out 9:30pm reaervaoseem doable. We arrived to find out their closing time is actually 10pm, but the staff was welcoming and encouraged us to sit and enjoy our meal (needed after a day of day travel). While out waiter was nice, it took a longer than usual time for our order to be taken and very long times in between visits back to check in on us. Just unforoas we are in the city to celebrate both a 40th and 45th birthday. Feel that the service would have been better if OpenTable had the correct information.
Very nice experience
The restaurant was not busy at all yet the server was very rushed and inattentive to our table. He offered up no explanation on the menu, made no wine or cocktail suggestions and when inquired on specials he just stated "there are none tonight". The food was ok and both steaks were cooked very well but rushed nature of the server left little to be desired.
