The food and service was fantastic! Our one complaint was that the restaurant was WAY to bright! We asked our waiter to lower the lights which he did right away, but other staff kept raising the lights back to full bright. It made us feel like we couldn’t fully relax for an evening meal. That being said, I will definitely be back but will continue to ask the staff to lower the lights.
Ugh. I'm really disappointing to hear the lights were a distraction during your visit to Trillium. I'll admit that is a pet peeve of mine as well so I completely understand this being a buzzkill. Luckily this was an oddity and I have addressed it with the responsible person. What an absolutely amazing experience! The food, the staff, and the atmosphere were well above my expectations. This was our first family dinner at Trillium, and it won’t be our last. The crispy Brussels sprouts, crab strata, and bison meatloaf were perfection. Dessert was a peach crème brûlée that was maybe the best thing I ever put in my mouth! 😂 When we are in Boise again, we will definitely be back!

Our server Marin was excellent. The poutine was tasty but would have been better with crispy fries. Clam chowder was average. I had the pork shank and it was fantastic. Wife had huckle berry short ribs but they were really sweet. Dessert was good. Portion sizes were huge and if we eat again we would definitely just get a main.

This was my second time to Trillium and it didn’t disappoint. We have the stuffed jalapeño’s for starters and loved them. For entrees we shared the New York steak frites and the crusted halibut. Both were tasty. Our server was in training so was fun to have the friendly banter and support her through that. We will definitely be back.

Interesting menu in a beautiful restaurant. My husband and I had the trout with cheesy grits and short rib. The food was excellent and the ability to valet park for free while we were eating was really convenient.

The service and Ambiance were wonderful. The seating at the table was quite uncomfortable. The food was overpriced and bland. My husband had the New York Steak with mushrooms and there was grit in the mushrooms because they were not washed properly. I had the Pork Shank and the meat was poorly seasoned, and without the additional toppings that were very good I would have sent the dish back. Also they had no gluten free options for entrees or desserts. They did give us a complementary dessert for our anniversary which was very good.

Need a lot more atmosphere. Way too bright and people working there were poorly dressed. When you pay this much for food you expect better. Food was wonderful and our service was good.

Our wonderful dining experience at Trillium was only enhanced by the XLNT customer service we received from our server (Marin?). She offered ‘spot on’ food & wine suggestions and went out of her way to accommodate our every expectation. Compliments to the chef on a very interesting and DEE-licious menu! The Szechuan Roasted Cauliflower and the Smoked Trout Poutine with Lemon Dill Cream Sauce were our favorite small plates of all that we tried.
My husband and I stopped in for appetizers and cocktails before going to a film festival at the Egyptian. The food and service were very good and the price was reasonable. It was nice that they offered free valet parking. It was our first time visiting Trillium and I think we'll visit again!
Food ended up being “meh”. Our server was good but our food took over and hour to come out. Not really worth the wait for the quality of food/price. Was hoping for so much more.
Friendly greeting at front, table appropriate for our needs (wheelchair accessible), excellent service, including the right amount of solicitude and good pacing of the courses. Food was delectable and interesting.

Globs of chewy cheese in the stroganoff, too many tomatoes in the caesar salad (shouldn't have tomatoes in a caesar salad at all) , should note that there are actual sardines on the caesar, filet mignon too salty, flat bread pizza bland.

Second time here and enjoyed both occasions. The Bang-bang style cauliflower appetizer was a bit hit! My husband’s filet Was perfect but my short ribs were a bit dry. Good portions and would visit again next time in Boise.

Good food. Service was good, but timing was off. Seems odd to complain that it was too fast, but drinks, appetizers, and entree and we were in and out in less than an hour. Could’ve used a little more breathing room between servings. I think the server knew it, but the food is ready when it’s ready.

The new Trillium is a vast improvement over its predecessor, Emilio's. We went there for an anniversary dinner, and overall the experience was outstanding. My steak frites was superb, and both appetizers (crab strata and Brussels sprouts) were delicious. My wife's halibut was excellent, although the puree it came nestled in was a little bland. Only two oddities: I made some special requests when I made the reservation on OpenTable, and those comments were either missed or ignored by the hostess. (Also, the hostess, while well-intentioned, was far too effusive for a fine dining restaurant.) Also, there was neither a dessert menu nor a dessert cart, and so we were left with our server's somewhat tepid descriptions of the dessert choices. We normally have dessert for a special occasion meal, but her descriptions left us uninterested. A cart or menu would have been appreciated. But, we will certainly go back.

We were able to use valet parking since we had a dining reservations so that was great! The newly remodeled restaurant when it changed to Trillium was inviting and the cushioned chairs were very comfortable. Our server was friendly and answered all of our questions. I had the warm crab salad and my husband had the pork shank. We both enjoyed our food immensely. There was only about 4 tables filled on a Sunday night so hopefully when things are hopping downtown your experience will be the same. It was a great evening!

The menu was quite varied with something for everyones taste. We started with the brussel sprouts appetizer and it surpassed any other I've ever tasted. The lobster raviolis were delicious and the plate was huge. Everyone at the table had a different dish and all raved about the. The trout pairing with tomato ice cream sounded very strange to everyone but my grandson said that it worked very well. I'll definitely be back.
