What’s so great about this place is it is a beautiful restaurant, but not overly decorated or pretentious, inside of one of Boise‘s premier hotels. When you arrive there is valet parking and from the very first person you will meet to park your car to the very end of your dinner everyone you coming contact with is very kind and genuinely hospitable. They are truly happy to have you there and welcome the opportunity to be of service.
The craft cocktails are excellent as is the wine and beer list. But I think that it is the wait staff and the food that really shine here. Again no one and nothing is pretentious including the menu and servers. I am so sorry I cannot recall our waitresses names but we have been there three or four times in the last two months and they have all been outstanding! I waited tables for many years in some Premier restaurants in the Midwest & San Francisco and I do know what good service looks like.
In these troubling and difficult COVID-19 times dining there has been a ray of light and a balm to the soul.
Everyone providing you service there is wearing their masks and the social distancing in the restaurant is more like 10 to 12 feet away. The interior is quietly elegant and the atmosphere relaxed and joyful. I cannot say enough good things about this place or the staff and I am grateful for them!
The food was really great. The server was attentive. Two suggestions would be to improve seating and make sure menu is clear. We were seated in some really high chairs that were almost impossible to be seated or get up without upsetting the table where other diners were also. I ordered a mac and cheese dish that I would have had no idea included ghost peppers except that server warned me. Torte we ordered for dessert had strawberry topping even though menu made no mention. I am allergic to strawberries so spouse ate it.
Went for our anniversary, good amount of space between tables excellent Idaho menu items. Really liked the crab appetizer. Lots of menu items at different prices. Use the valet it’s free with dinner, you can tip what you would have paid for a garage.
We had both the crab appetizer and the warm crab salad. Both were delicious!
This is a great restaurant. Our server was amazing along with great food and cocktails.
Trillium is a newly updated upscale eatery inside the Grove Hotel. Though within the confines of a downtown hotel. Trillium does a fantastic job standing on it's own, as if it were a hip downtown restaurant. The menu offers a great mix of eclectic comfort food and pacific northwest staples. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and awesome adult beverages!

We always love coming here. The service is superb and the food is fabulous. Never disappointed.
Everything we ate was excellent. Some of the cocktails we got could use more attention. Mixtures not quite right, whiskey sour with egg - egg needed to be much frothier. One cocktail we order should have had whiskey in it, it was clearly scotch. Customer service is excellent and the prices aren't bad! Overall very happy and do reccomend it!

For a higher end restaurant that wasn't very busy one would assume that the floors under the table would be vacuumed, but apparently not here. It distracted me from completely enjoying celebrating our daughter and son-in-law's one year anniversary. Will not be eating here again, although the server was * and the food was *. Simple things make a difference.

The food was very good!
First time visiting the area, and celebrated our 10-year anniversary here. The service was super great, incl. complimentary wine tasting and dessert. Food portions were unexpectedly generous, food was delicious, waitress was very kind. Would absolutely go here again. Get the Szechuan Cauliflower! It's amazing!

We typically avoid hotel restaurants as they often fall flat. This was NOT the case here! Great atmosphere and great brunch options. The food delivered and the price was comparable or better than all other places we considered.
Our server was busy with a big party but once he finally made his way to us, he was great!

I love Trillium, from the beers to food everything is amazing. Wish there were more choices on the food now that the restaurant part is closed during COVID. Pretzels are okay but I know they have an amazing food menu; Their Burrata is AMAZING, sandwiches are okay, Trays are great if you want to try new flavors that all complement their beers.
Our server was very warm and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious and very large quantities!

The food was excellent and the cocktails were amazing, go for the ones you think you might like but are kind of “out there”. Bacon Wrapped Jalapeños and Meat and Cheese Board are excellent apps, and the desserts are delicious as well.

Th food was perfect for the price. The server was a bit too involved with conversation, but still took care of what mattered which was making sure the drinks were taken care of and the checks came on time.
Ambience is a bit hectic and feels a little unsafe due to the virus situation and it being located in a large hotel downtown. I think more space and a hidden kitchen would make it much less hectic. It kinda feels like a diner the way it's laid out.
Great experience. Service was great, drinks were always full. Meals were yummy with surprisingly large portions!

The food was OK not great. Service and venue were great. Just seemed overpriced for what we were served. Also was annoyed that 3 hours of complementary parking was only if you used valet.

We visited for our anniversary on a Sunday evening, restaurant was pretty empty, probably due to covid. Seating and decor was very nice. The menu had a wide selection of entrees, salads and starters. We started with the Dungeness Crab Strata which was amazing! I had the Huckleberry Short Ribs and my husband had the Braised Pork Shank, both were excellent and portions were extremely generous, we had enough for lunch the next day. Dessert was great as well and the provided at no charge since it was our anniversary, nice touch. Food and service exceeded our expectations, we look forward to returning and trying some other items on the menu.

Sadly, we were the only people there, although it was on the early side. We were treated royally, with necessary precautions in place. The food was near the top of what we've experienced in our nearly three years living in the Boise area. However, we were told they would be closing down again because of the pandemic. People need to wear masks, maintain distance and listen to the scientists and doctors, not those who dismiss this calamity.

We had a great experience — the woman who greeted us at the door was so bubbly & sweet. We also had a great, attentive waiter (not sure his name.. he had a mustache). Food was excellent.

Very impressed, food was amazing, service was top-notch (Monica was fantastic) and the overall experience was one of the best I've had in a long time. We started with the Brussels sprouts which were mind-blowingly good. The sweet apricot drizzle and herb sauce was a perfect pairing. The iceberg salad was classic and well-executed. Our entree's were amazing. We had the pork shank and the spare rib. They were perfectly cooked (fall off the bone) and the sauces and sides were flawless. I managed my expectations for a "hotel restaurant" to be lower, but Trillium totally blew the doors off of what is possible. This is a pretty glowing review, but I can't find much I didn't like... maybe the prices seemed a little higher than expected... but the value, experience, and service all backed it up. Will be going again!

The chairs were very high and difficult to get into. Appetizers (Brussels sprouts) crab, were excellent. The halibut was not as good as I was hoping too much sauce crab salad was excellent,cocktails were excellent wonderful atmosphere would definitely go again
