Dined with my mom and aunt. Been coming here for years for the bookstore, first time eating. Soooo good. Had the Huevos rancheros. Excellent. Definitely recommend
I booked with open table but restaurant didn’t indicate I had shown up.
Fantastic food and service! I sent my boss here to meet one of our VPs who lives in the area and received rave reviews! The local VP said it's his new fave in the area.
Consistently one of the best places to browse, eat, drink and just hang out in Boston. I don't even live in the USA, but make sure to pop in for brunch or dinner every time I'm in the area, and pick up a book or two, of course!
I love Trident. Not only is it a great bookstore, it’s also a fantastic place to get a casual drink or bite to eat. All the food that I have had there is delicious (the sweet potato fries especially). I also tried the pea blossom mimosa and it was also delicious. Service was great, I have 0 complaints.
Okay. Nothing special.
Trident never disappoints. This was the first time dining for dinner, but we are regulars for breakfast takeout when we are in town. Mimosas to go and the best english muffins anywhere!
Food was good.
It was quiet enough to have a good conversation and the unique atmosphere was really fun. IU=
How can ambience be less than five stars, surrounded by books? The food was tasty and ample. Virtually everything - viewing menu, selecting, ordering, paying - was done, uhm, virtually, but service was friendly and efficient.
Amazing for vegans
I love Trident Booksellers Cafe. It's a great way to support a local bookstore, and their food really is delicious. They serve breakfast all day and additional options later on in the day and evening. On their breakfast menu I love their Monte Cristo sandwich. They also have really good coffee with tons of options if you'd like to have a flavored latte.
Lots of choices, charming, casual, great place to meet
Adorable bookstore! I enjoyed my visit and was able to read peacefully.
This is a great place for breakfast and what better setting than being surrounded by books. One thing you might need to consider is the air circulation is high making it safe but cooler.
The food was fantastic. A little crowded and loud , but worth the noise.
It is always a pleasure to indulge in a meal at Trident before exploring the bookstore. Even during the pandemic, the customer service and staff were absolutely incredible and the food was delicious as always. I will certainly be coming back soon!
Awful service and the food wasn’t good, will never come back!
cafe space on the first floor only now. but spaced apart. good food. large menu.
Eggs were prepared incorrectly, twice and the waitress was very rude
Food was overpriced, flavorless, and coated in oil. Had to ask the waiter to bring out tap water to drink.
Smaller portions than i remem
Wonderful breakfast in a nice outdoor eating area.
Was a great atmosphere and had a plethora of books to choose from in the bookstore. The food was quite good, but a lot to finish in one sitting.
Food came out fairly quick. And the server was always mindful of filling up coffee and water. We were also able to hangout for a bit of time after paying check to finish coffee. Weekday morning are the perfect time to go. Mega Eggs Benedict is the way to go ☺️
Cute little cafe inside a bookstore. Nice counter and a handful of tables. My husband's breakfast was better than mine. I got the frittata with high expectations, but my first few bites were very dry. The center of the frittata was a little better and the tomatoes really helped with moisture, but I think it could have been lightened up a bit to not be as dense. My husband got the homemade corned beef hash & eggs, which was really excellent, as was the toast. Sadly, the frittata wasn't served with toast. He got coffee and was never offered a refill. I finally flagged down a different server (hadn't seen ours in a while) and he got a refill. Because of the small space, it only takes one loud table to dominate the space. Of course, we had one right next to us. Once they left it was a more pleasant atmosphere. Really nothing the Cafe could do about that, it's a small space, so the tables are close together. All of that said, I would go back again, but I'll be the one ordering the corned beef hash!
I loved the atmosphere here. Surrounded by books and sitting by the window looking out onto Newbury street. It was a quaint feel but in a large bookstore. Food was yummy and the staff was friendly. They had many vegan accommodations as well
Restaurant located inside a small bookstore. My wife and I enjoyed it. Good breakfast..
Cozy cafe located inside a bookseller! They do weekly events that would encourage me to go often if I lived in the area! Great choice!
The food was solid and good value, something for everyone. The servers were friendly and responsive. And the atmosphere was awesome. We enjoyed our breakfast and coffee while surrounded by books. After dining, we explored the two-story bookstore. Fun experience.
This was an amazing find. Fast service, excellent food, and an adorable, relaxed setting. A cozy breakfast/brunch spot to enjoy Newbury Street and then peruse the well-stocked book shelves. The cafe and bookstore alike contain both classic favorites and creative firsts. A real gem in Boston's Back Bay.
Generally nice place with good food at reasonable price. Seemed understaffed by at least one wait person as the existing ones were hustling just too many tables to cover so service was slower than should have been on getting order taken and coffee refills.
Great food, and we love that it is also a bookstore. Our waitress was nice and quick, but she never checked on us after our food was delivered
Meh. Food was so-so. Service was slow and inattentive, I was only offered a coffee refill as I was preparing to leave. My eggs were not cooked as requested.
Wonderful and varied menu! Loved it! Wish there were more places like this.
A really fun place. You’re surrounded by good books and funky small gift items. Food was so-so but it’s all about the atmosphere there!
Not all that it is cracked up to be. Pancakes burnt, delivered breakfast before coffee, nobody came by after our food was served - had to flag down a bill when done. You could do better.
I love Trident. Perfect place for a bookclub meeting or intimate dinner with friends.
Eggs had runny yokes. I had requested over hard
