Built for adventure, but always dependable, let Tricycle become your third place-a place to gather, to have a drink and a conversation, share a joke or two, talk about the day-to-day events, and share a meal with friends.
Quiet, comfortable, delicious food, fab service.
I don’t know what is going on with this place. I made a reservation and went to the restaurant and they literally weren’t open. Lights off, no one there.
Google says they are open, Open Table says there are open. They weren’t. I called the phone number and it just rang and never hit an answering machine.
I think this place is closed. I don’t know how I was able to make a reservation. I was meeting a friend and I asked her if I had the wrong date or I just didn’t pull the door open hard enough. She confirmed. There was no one there. Super weird!
Not sure what's going on with their brunch, but they need to get it together. There was only one other table there the whole time we were there and it still took FOREVER to get our food. The server/bartender was great, but the kitchen was having some serious issues. When we finally got our food, it wasn't very good & there were some mistakes. It's weird because the only other time I've been there was for dinner and it was a delicious, normal-paced meal.
Great bar food! Our waitress was very nice. She was also extremely patient with my drunk friend. The owner or manager came over too to see how everything was. Fresh French fries, burgers, and salads made us happy..
Good music at the right volume and great bartender!
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend the roasted cauliflower and the sweet corn alfredo!
Great place for burgers and comfort food. Huge ramen bowl. The mac and cheese was good but they use bow tie pasta instead of macaroni.
I had been to Tricycle many times before and it was a local, casual favorite. This time however I was disappointed. Perhaps there is a new chef, but what we ordered was not prepared as it had been in the past. The chicken pot pie, my husbands favorite, went from being served in a large bowl, deconstructed style, to being served in a small bowl, dry, and with less flavor. The brussel sprout caesar, usually made with shaved sprouts, came with big pieces of raw sprouts that made it cumbersome to eat. Last, the braised pork shank, which in the past was fall off the bone tender and amazing, was super dry and difficult to eat.
We will try again, but hope this feedback will help them go back to the food they used to prepare.
Understaffed, food took an hour. Some kind of w
water problem in or near restroom. Unappetizing. Server was great though.
Nice music on Thursday’s.
Very good service, well prepared steak frites, expertly prepared salmon.
Fun spot to meet for drinks and dinner in a great part of town!
Dinner was great but skip the steak frites. Steak was thin and well done, like a sandwich steak but worse. Also, the udon noodles were more like spaghetti noodles. Great ambiance and service though.
Blaire was friendly and helpful. Her suggestions were appreciated. The ramen and pot pie were very good and their draft selection was unique. We will be back with friends next time.
Great neighborhood place for good comfort style food. Nice vibe. Good service.
Great brunch menu, something for everyone. Nothing exotic, just well done and very welcoming staff.
With a Bigger group, it took quite long for food
We had a party of five and while the it was agreed the meals were each outstanding the stars were...
Artichoke Chorizo dip- spicy but not intimidating
Tricycle Soup-exactly as advertised
Mac and Cheese- not a spoonful in reserve
Casado- every bite a delight.
Affordable and delicious all around
The chicken sandwich I ordered was overcooked and so tough. The sauce on the bacon wrapped dates was not one to my liking.
Fantastic food, drinks, and service. Would recommend to anyone in Chicago.
We had a great family dinner there with kids! First time trying it and the food was better than expected. They were also great with the kids, had a kids menu and crayons etc. It was a bit loud for the family, but they did seat us in the back where it was a little quieter. I’d definitely come back.
Everything was outstanding! Waitress was friendly food delicious and atmosphere inviting!
Food was good, but I felt like it was a little over seasoned.
I have been telling everyone about this restaurant!
I was eating at this joint for years, back when it was called Silver Cloud. Per our server, this is the same people...just a different name & menu. Great neighborhood spot. We'll be back...
Open table was the one who referred us to this restaurant and was glad. We had a good brunch and enjoyed the ourselves. The only thing was they sat us in booth space that four other people were sitting. So we heard their whole conversations which did not interest us. After they had left we had enough time so enjoy our food.
Great food, wonderful service, and a fun atmosphere!
Tricycle has become our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. The service is always great and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Great spot for any occasion.
The menu has many different options! The food was very good, however the service was only alright. The server didn’t ask how we wanted our burgers done, did not check on how everything was tasting, and didn’t offer us another drink, just simply the bill. Family friendly and neighborhood-feel which is nice.
Great food and family friendly. We love going for an early dinner
Great all around. Mushroom toast so good we ordered more. Would highly recommend!
We barely saw our server and after an hour left without ever getting our food. We asked for the check for our drinks and he never even brought that, thank god we had cash.
Had a very nice experience at Tricycle. Brittany was very nice and efficient. I had the pork shank and it was terrific (but I was feeling the garlic the next day!). The casado with chicken, and the Tricycle Burger were enjoyed by my friends. Nice and relaxed place.
Cute neighborhood gem. Great burgers.
A great addition to the neighborhood. Friendly, warm atmosphere, excellent service, exceptional food.
This was my second visit to tricycle and similar to last time the food was absolutely amazing. The tricycle burger is really great and the fries are to die for. The French 75 off the cocktail list was really good - pretty light and easy to drink but quite strong! It was very crowded and I’m glad we made a reservation. This place is great addition to the neighborhood!
Amazing food, great service. Atmosphere just ok but it's all about the food! The mushroom toast is to die for. The garlic shrimp flat bread, insane. The sweet potato flat bread, delicious! My other favorite is the cauliflower. A great place to come for a low-key but incredible food experience.
Dining Out For Life
Great neighborhood spot with outstanding food. Nothing too experimental, but everything was well -executed. I had the Steak Frites cooked perfectly to my medium rare temperature. Others in our party had the salmon which was also excellent. The service was fast and friendly but not overly cloying. Will definitely eat here again.
