Tricky's Restaurant and Bar is a great place to dine. Our large restaurant offers cosy corners for intimate diners as well as space to accommodate large parties. As always the food was great, whether it’s pizza, gammon, steak or vegetarian etc. Always looks nice on the plate and meats are always cooked to perfection. The team & owner Tom are always welcoming and friendly.Tonight was disco night which is held once every 4-5 weeks I think. If you want some live music entertainment then Friday nights are your go to with lots of lovely local bands to choose from. It’s a lovely space to be in, lots of nice outside space as well. Also a wedding venue if you are looking. I always enjoy a Tricky’s evening out. Thanks guys :)

Good food (huge portions) , speedy and polite service Maybe a little loud (live music that night ) but we knew this was happening and the music was good , just couldn’t chat to each other while eating.

The roast meal was poor, the roast potatoes were very hard to cut over done, the meat poor quality .

Mediocre, would not recommend and would not go again. My starter was deducted from the bill because it was not up to the required standard, as agreed by the owner. However, my husbands prawn cocktail was very good with lots of prawns. We both had fish and chips for mains. I had been looking forward to this. Not something we normally have. The best thing on my plate was the peas and tartare sauce!! The fish was over battered and not very meaty i.e. thick. My husbands looked better. My chips were lots of ‘ends’. I like square chips from the middle of the potato, not lots of little bits from the edges. We were told there would be a delay with service as they were so busy. Ok. Wait was probably 20 mins for starter. In the circumstances that was acceptable but table booked for 7.45 and main course arriving at just after 9pm is not. Apparently, they are always very busy so should have the staff to cope.
