Tri Valley Bistro
Great food and the owners make you feel special and appreciated.
Perfect meals, service, hospitality.
Thank you TriValley Bistro.
Always a treat to eat at this wonderful little hole in the wall. Never a bad meal. This is a must eat on your list of places to eat.
Very nice find! Dined outside, great service and great food. Salmon was terrific!
It’s my new favorite meeting spot. It’s family owned, jazzy mellow music, handsome ambiance and wonderful weight staff.
A small quiet Bistro with excellent cuisine, this restaurant is located right on Main Street and we had no trouble finding street parking. the service was very friendly and accommodating. The food is not only delicious, but beautifully served!
Love their Brussels sprouts! Always excellent service and food arrives hot.
LOVE Tri-Valley Bistro. The Seared Scallops over Black Risotto is to die for! The service is always personable and impeccable! What a gem of a restaurant in downtown Pleasanton! We come over from Livermore at least once a month. It's one of our favorite places to dine!
Had a party of three and enjoyed a front window seat which we had requested when making our reservation. The bistro seating is fine for couples. The service and food very good. A bit pricey but for a special occasion worth it.
We LOVE this restaurant and staff !!!
Our second visit. We came back because first time we really liked the creative menu and the quality of the food. This time I had the scallops served over a wild rice mushroom bed. It was fantastic. Scallops were tasty and tender. The mushroom rice was very flavorful. Loved it.
Also like the fact that they serve almost all their wines by the glass. Lots of choices.
Highly recommended. At first the 'Bistro' part of the name turned us off. But this is fine dining! If you love good food, go try it.
Wonderful food, easy and attentive service, and simple atmosphere of casual dinner and conversation. I wish I could eat here regularly, but sadly it’s a considerable drive for me.
Food & menu selections were excellent! Really enjoyed and will go back again
I had the Rib Eye and it was great! Service was excellent,
This is one of my absolute favorite place. I often go and have lunch or dinner. We celebrate friend’s birthday, too... They are very accommodating. They let us stay after they close if we are still eating and chatting. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.
I was told about this local spot by my Lyft driver, and what a treat it was. I had salmon which was prepared with a Mediterranean sauce cooked perfectly. My other two colleagues had the fettuccine served with large sautéed prawns, and the chicken Florentine. All were exceptional meals.
A quaint establishment that offers a nice selection of options. We were extremely happy with the Sautéed Brussels and Grilled Vegetable Farro Salad!
First visit; great service; great food; would come again!!
We enjoyed our recent visit to Tri Valley Bistro with a few friends. Everyone that had the lemon chicken soup were thrilled with it. My husband and I shared the prawn appetizer, which consisted of 4 very large prawns wrapped in prosciutto and sitting on a gorgonzola cream sauce. I opted for a lighter entree (beet salad with chicken) very fresh and the chicken was juicy. My husband had the rib eye which was cooked to the proper temp request and so tender. The mashed could use some work, not quite enough butter and cream but all in all the whole meal was delicious. Save room for the creme brulee so rich and creamy enough for 2.
First time at this restaurant. First impression was positive, interior updated, fresh and modern. Service was great. They must have noticed me unwrapping a birthday gift and brought a piece of cake with a candle. Food was excellent. Overall a very nice experience.
Excellent service. Food was delicious and fresh. Ambiance was quiet and romantic
Just perfect to join with friends and also family too.
Had a burger - it was terrible; frozen patty, lousy bun - it's not hard to make a good burger so that seems like a huge miss.
Always delicious with great service.
Excellent in every way!
Food was delicious!
Perfect spot to have a great meal and enjoy friends and family. Staff go out of their way to accommodate customers and make them feel welcome. It’s my local go to place for so many occasions.
Beef filet was exceptional
My kids love the Chicken Orzo soup from Tri Valley Bistro. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable as well.
First time experience started off a little shaky, but not to the restaurant's fault. For some reason, OpenTable has reservation times available during the restaurant's closed hours. My reservation time was 30 minutes prior to their open time. We stood outside for 15 min, then they seated us 15 prior to opening. Everything else was great from that point forward. I gave one less star on the food because most everything needed a little more salt to wake up the flavors; and rarely add additional salt to my food. Otherwise, everything was great.
The food was very good. We were the first ones in so this wasn't a matter of the restaurant being slammed. The waiter didn't seem to know what he was doing. We ordered salads and to split a sandwich. I had questions about the salad dressing - I didn't want one with added sugar. He came back with, "Some of them have added sugar." Okay, which ones? The conversation went like that. Then we ordered the sandwich to split and when our salads came he asked us if we wanted anything else...We said the sandwich that we ordered. His response was, "Sandwich?" Oh my! I think that probably he was either new (and should have been shadowing until he got it), or there was a language issue? Not sure, but it was a bit frustrating.
My favorite restaurant in Pleasanton! Family owned and wonderful food with outstanding service with a personal touch.
Great little restaurant. The prosciutto wrapped Prawns were the best dish of the night.
We like this place because it is on the small side and when it's not jam packed, it has a bit of a warm, cozy fee to it.
The food has always been good but the other night, my Ribeye Steak was a bit tough. We were two couples just having dinner and no special occasion. The other three folks were very happy with their dinner deletions. I had the Chopped Apple Salad and the steak. The salad was great and the steak would have been very good, too, were it not for having to put out extra effort to eat it. Typically, Ribeyes are tender enough that they don't need special consideration by the diner. In this case, I was forced to be very careful about cutting it across the grain to make it tender as possible. For dessert, we split a slice of cake that was very good, also.
Menu had a good selection and food was good. Wishing there was a full bar for those in the group that don't drink beer or wine. Only downside.
Excellent food and service. We frequent Tri Valley Bistro on a regular basis.
Perfect for a girlfriends get together!
We had a great time because we were celebrating birthdays and I was with the people I love most in this world but the food was not very good. They use too much pomegranate sauce which killed the taste of my lamb and my husbands rib-eye steak. I don't think either one of the 7 of us finished our food. It was an expensive meal not to enjoy :/
It is uncomfortable to write critical reviews but there is no reason to be misleading. My first experience at TriValley Bistro that took place 18 months ago was very memorable. The place was alive, the food was great and the service was spot on. I should have know when we walked in last week and there was only two other dinners in the entire restaurant that something had changed. The menu was the same but the food quality was such a disappointment I am still stinging from the experience. I ordered the rib eye steak that was being sold as "prime", it was barely eatable. My wife ordered the house salad with chicken, it wasn't worth bring home in a too go bag. The wine they are serving by the glass was also a huge disappointment. For $130, it was a big waste of money and time.
It is a beautiful restaurant in a great location, I hope they can address their food and wine issues.
