Trezeros Kitchen and Tap
We are just what the neighborhood ordered. Trezeros is the perfect local place to meet family, friends and co workers for lunch, dinner, after work cocktails, watch the big game or to celebrate that extra special event.
The decor marries old and new with the reclaimed locally made table tops, reclaimed bar front from the existing building dating back to the 1930’s to the contemporary European designed chairs and stools.
Not only do they have fantastic happy hour specials and daily specials, the food and service are outstanding! Definitely a place to go for date night, late night, happy hour, etc. We will be back!!
Restaurant was quite empty when we arrived yet service was very slow. Only seemed to have one waiter working. The host/hostess were helping him. The Bang Bang Shrimp was flavorless. The shrimp seemed boiled and had a creamy orange colored sauce drizzled over them. The arrancini wasn’t very hot and barely had any meat/peas/mozzarella inside. One of the arrancini had a chunk of mozzarella in it which was not melted. The calamari and octopus in the seafood risotto was very tough and over cooked. The tomato sauce tasted like Ragu brand. The menu said it was a “Light tomato sauce” and it wasn’t anything of the sort. My wine pour was far less than my boyfriend’s. His appeared to be a double pour almost to the rim. Maybe it was an off night-but we most likely won’t be back.
One of our favorite places to dine. Great food, generous portions, & great service.
Wonderful neighborhood spot with excellent and reasonably priced food.
We had a nice dinner at Trezero’s. We recommend the bruschetta as well as the beef egg rolls for an appetizer. Salmon Oregganata and the Orechiette pasta were excellent. It is a warm cozy place when it is cold outside.
Great appetizers-calamari, bang bang shrimp & goat cheese. Service was wonderful!
The filet trio and the calamari app were fantastic. Everything else was pretty good. I would probably try a seafood pasta next time.
What a fantastic dinner and loved the live entertainment on the Thursday night we showed up. Will definitely be going back to try more items on the menu.
Everything is fresh as can be, piping hot, and portions are enough for two. Desserts could use a bit of love. Flourless chocolate cake was on the drier side and a few others stated their desserts were just “ok”. The shining star is in the main courses for sure! Highly recommend for a great Italian dinner!
Wonderful restaurant, delicious food, yummy wine, teriffic wait staff, friendly hostesses, and experience. We were there on Valentine's Day. There was a guitar duet playing in the bar they were fantastic! My favorite VD, so far and we've been married 34yrs! Thank you Trezeros!
I made a same day reservation for Valentine's Day through open table and got a confirmation. We showed up, and we were told by these dismissive hostesses that they weren't accepting reservations through open table that day. I showed them the confirmation and they turned us away. I own up to trying to make a reservation for Valentine's Day *on* Valentine's Day, but a phone call from the restaurant explaining that they weren't taking reservations would have been really helpful. I guess they didn't think to check their open table account or whatever. On Valentine's Day.
So a huge shoutout to The Red Barn on Kensington! Good food and a pretty decent beer selection with live music.
Great food, wine menu, specialty drinks, specials, price point, and even live music! What a delightfull place for a special occasion or just being with friends!!!!
Carol was great! Food was amazing!! Will be back for sure!
Excellent food and drinks. Our waiter was rather rude.
Great time and delicious food and wine!
Another great meal at Trezeros, had the seafood stew and pizza, both were very tasty
Excellent meal. The Italian Sausage Rigatoni and the Veal were both perfectly prepared.
Loved atmosphere. Love music in bars but was a touch too loud for conversation.
We went there for my mom's 75th birthday. The waitress was very attentive to my mom and her friends. She brought additional hot water for them without any prompting. The food was delicious. The owner came to the table too. We'll definitely come back.
The service was beyond slow the waitress did not even come to check on us the scallops we had for appertizer were great
However the main courses were subpar the pasta was not cooked well and stuck together
The noise level was way too loud
Very disappointed won’t be back
It was a Saturday night so it was busy, but the result was slow service and a pretty noisy dining room. There was nothing but hard surfaces in the room...no sound dampening. The food was good (chicken marsala) and prices were fair. I'd go back, but maybe not on a weekend night.
Loved the food and John, our server was great. The gnocchi and the ravioli special were especially good.
Food was very tasty and portions are generous. Interesting variety of pizzas, fresh ingredients.
No wait service for over 30 minutes until we asked...then service was slow. Normally very happy with food & service, not this time....what happened Trezeros?
Had a very nice dinner of lobster ravioli and a lemon drop martini. Great service!
This is one of the best restaurants in the NW suburbs, hands down. The menu is always interesting making it hard to choose. The fish and pasta dishes are especially good. Bread and tomato olive spread comes first at every table. The beer selection is very good but not overwhelming. There are usually specials which are always perfectly prepared. The homemade soups are the best I have ever had. Service is stellar. All in all, hard to beat.
We went on NYE and our experience was just ok. Service was slow, but they were very busy and we were in no rush so it wasn't a big deal. I think our waitress was either a fill in or very new. She wasn't well versed in gluten free options and didn't seem to know the menu all that well. I ordered a the Pasta Carbonara dish that needed to be gluten free. It came out looking like soup and didn't include an egg so I sent it back. They brought it back out a few minutes later and it looked better. Because of our wait, I was starving and ate it right away. I ended up sick when we got home. Not sure if I was glutened by the pasta dish, but it sure seems like that was the culprit.
We visited the restaurant about a year ago and had a great experience. Not sure if they just overextended themselves with it being NYE or if it's gone downhill.
Great place, food, and owner/staffs. Highly recommend.
My girlfriend tried Trezeros this past Saturday. Our waiter(Jimmy???) was very good. He made some spot on recommendations which are always appreciated. The bread and sun-dried tomatoe dip was outstanding. My girlfriend had the Halibut and it was very good. Tasty and a nice size piece of fresh fish. I had Chicken Piccata with spaghetti as a side. The chicken was good but maybe a few more capers in the sauce would have rendered it very good. The spaghetti was a bit rubbery but overall I was very happy with the meal. Drinks were reasonably prices. We will certainly be back.
This restaurant never fails to deliver a great dining experience. The food and service are exceptional and the owner seems to always be visible and available.
The food was Amazing. Jimmy, our server, was friendly and informative and gave us great suggestions. A great neighborhood find.
The food was bland but came quickly.
Awesome food and service.
Very surprisingly good food served here. Enjoyed our meal.
Had a wonderful time at the restaurant. Food was outstanding, especially the Bang Shrimp as an appetizer.
The food was outstanding, my husband ordered the ribs and said best ever.
Waitress was very pleasant and very accommodating. We definitely will come back!
was impressed with the quality of food and great service
Always a great time and delicious food at this place. Fantastic drink specials and great live music on Thursday nights.
We celebrated my birthday on Sat night. We’ve been to Trezeros many times since it opened and have never been disappointed. The warm bread served with sun dried tomato olive oil is amazing. On Sat we shared a special artichoke appetizerr and the arrancini. Both spectacular. Had to have a cup of the pasta fazoul soup. Always wonderful. Then on to our entrees: Chicken Parmesan, salmon Oreganata, Pecan crusted halibut, and Veal saltimbocca. All delicious. We love the reasonably priced wines on tap and the service is excellent. This is our favorite downtown Mount Prospect restaurant by far. Go there! You will not be disappointed.
I’m on a special diet and kitchen graciously accommodated my request to combine preparation of one dish and sides of another. The outcome was positively delicious!
