   Amazing dining experience! Staff were friendly and happy to explain menu items or make recommendations. It was our anniversary meal, and the service was amazing. A massive thank you for the little dessert you gave us for our anniversary

   Food was tasty and staff was friendly, but lots of forgotten and mixed up items made the experience less than premium. Drinks ordered from the bar but only half were poured (until reminded), sides and sauces missing or mixed up. Food left on a table next to ours long after the diners had left. Rubbish and spills left on the bar, our table had a lovely view out of the window, but there was rubbish (napkins and biscuit wrappers) flying around in the wind in the garden. The bar dining room area looked lovely from afar but was very dusty - the lamp shade next to our table was covered in stains. Over all, with a fresh coat of paint, more staff training, and perhaps more staff serving at one time, improvements could be made quickly.

   Dinner was booked for 7pm we’re the only one in the restaurant my food was bland my wife food was ok the veg was dipped in hot water very disappointing

   It was a great experience. The food was full of flavour and delicious. Portion sizes was just right. Overall really good.

   The staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. I loved the age of the hotel, the gardens, the room. Though a few things needed fixing in the room. Feeling screws under foot around room. Not being able to open shower door to wide as hinges needed attending too. Tap in shower needed fixing as would come off in your hand when turning. Sadly one of the nights our door was opened while we were in bed. We called down to reception immediately and all keys were cancelled today's our room. Wexfound out, the next day, it was a staff member? Possibly going to wrong room, they did not knock before opening. Made us feel a bit unsafe. They were apologetic.

   There was potential for a much better review but the restaurant fell short with its offerings and service. We booked with the restaurant based on the example menu from there website which was a there course set menu offering a good selection of roast meats and vegetables. The menu which was given to us was similar to something you would find at a bingo hall. There were only three available meals (excluding the salads), burger and chips, curry or fish and chips. At the time I considered I may have made a mistake and looked at a situation menu for events. After we received our meals the restaurant was becoming busier around us it could be seen others were receiving meals which were from the menu I viewed online. I am still puzzled why we were given a basic menu, not offered a choice of menu. Perhaps we looked as if we could not afford a decent meal, I really don't know. We had anticipated spending around £150 for good meal and evening. We had an option to use the restaurant on our second night away and but due to our first experience we chose to eat elsewhere. There were a few other issues which I will not go into detail about as do not want down vote the restaurant on as the issues may be personal to me and not valid to order visitors.

   A busy evening but lengthy delays with service and a mix up with orders which took the edge off our Valentines evening

   We all enjoyed our evening dinner. Adult family group. Good food, served promptly in very pleasant atmosphere.

   The food was excellent quality and tasted wonderful. The people working there were so kind I felt special to them.

    Extremely poor customer service and unhappy, inattentive staff. Waited for over an hour for the bread and then main course arrived after another 40mins before we had eaten the starters. Ordered desert, but it never came although we were billed. The wine was warm and when asked staff for a cold glass was then sarcastically asked three times if the wine was cold enough - very rude. Quality of food was shocking for the price. One member of staff apologised profusely for the poor service and food and said this was often a recurring problem when one particular chef was working. Many guests unhappy 🙁
