Hated it. Didn’t enjoy the food. Very few options. Bad service.
Excellent food with very good service and it was an overall enjoyable experience.
We really liked the unique menu items. It’s nice to see menu items that aren’t available elsewhere!
The ambience is quaint, rustic and cozy. The food is average. I had the veggie burger and fries. My friend had the chopped salad. We both commented that we could make better versions of our lunches at home easily. I won’t go back unless I go with a group and the group chooses Trestle.
We had a good experience at Trestle but it’s not really a bar. This place is pretty small, especially in the winter, but it felt cozy and not overly crowded. The drinks are good and the food came out quickly. We live close and are happy to have a go-to place nearby.
Problem 1: food was not very good at all.
Problem 2. The servers kept going to get the food outside the main restaurant and banged the door every time. Very loud noise, really annoying.
Trestle Tavern is my favorite type of neighborhood restaurant. Vibrant atmosphere, unique menu, modest prices, and it is comfortable for all age groups (above about 12 yo). Everything we have ordered there has had an interesting, unusual and delicious combination of ingredients. Ah, but don't expect to stay for dessert; all they offer is a cookie. I suspect that's a good way to keep you from lingering too long. The restaurant is very busy.
Very helpful with gluten allergy!
We came here for a friend's birthday party. It was snowing outside so we were given a seat next to the fireplace. The environment was perfectly cozy for the occasion and the weather outside. The cocktails were outstanding. The food had a lot of well matched flavors. Each item seemed well thought out. The intimacy of the restaurant is really hard to beat.
Per reviews, exactly as expected
A cute little pub with food which is much better than the usual pub grub and a great beer list. It's a welcome break from the larger chains. Can't wait until it's warm enough for the patio to be open too.
We love this great neighborhood restaurant. Especially love the patio in warmer weather.
The coke in the bottle not a good idea. just serve the drink in the glass. Other than that I will be back soon
First time to Trestle Tavern for Valentine’s Day. The ambience was great, the service was awesome! But the food was awful. They charged us $40 per person for food that my wife and I did not like to say the least. I am more than willing to go back and try something on their regular menu. But their special menu for Valentine’s Day was awful. All in all we left pretty disappointed.
Food and ambiance were both fantastic! It is such a quaint restaurant with great service. I would strongly recommend reservations due to the seating capacity, but well worth it.
I went for the first time recently and I will definitely be going back! It had a quiet and relaxing ambiance. The food was really good with a couple vegetarian options (veggie burger was delicious). My boyfriend got the trout salad and really enjoyed it! I would recommend this to anyone. It is pretty small so I suggest making a reservation.
Nice setting, friendly service, pretty good food, reasonably priced ... what else could you want on a Thursday night around 15th &15th?
Went to dinner with a girlfriend and it was perfect night! Great comfort food and wine!
We like the Trestle Tavern for many reasons. It is a good place to go if we want a healthy, meatless meal. We have ordered a good number of items on the menu and are never disappointed. Friday I ordered the rockfish curry and my husband had a smoked trout salad and we recommend them both. The ambiance is cozy, with a fireplace flickering in the background. The service is always professional and helpful. The only drawback is that it is somewhat challenging for anyone with mobility issues, with several steps and uneven surfaces.
Love this great restaurant, walkable from our home.
The building was a bit drafty, but the food was great!
An interesting hideaway of a restaurant. Read good reviews so decided to check it out.
Good ambiance and bohemian setting where drinks are brought from an exterior cellar. Food was alright.
What we found disappointing was that the place was not too busy for a Thursday evening and the food appeared within 5 minutes of ordering in spite of telling the waiteress to pace the meal as we were in no hurry. Couldn't really enjoy the drinks either as a result.
Felt rushed. We were in and out in 45 minutes.
Will take persuasion to pay them a second visit.
This is my favorite restaurant for a great meal for a special occasion. Everything is delicious, especially the pretzel and cheese sauce and the potato and horseradish perogies. The prices are really fair too, especially for such a great restaurant!
I really like the ambiance of Trestle Tavern. In the summer months sitting outside is very nice and in the colder weather, with the fire place going, it is really nice. The food is always excellent, the brussel sprouts and mushroom appetizer is super delicious. The entrees are great with variety and interesting ingredients.
