Excellent food and drink. Very loud though. A bit pricy, but worth the price for the food. Highly recommend

Arrived for the earliest seating (5 pm) and were warmly welcomed. We had a 7 pm concert and, without rushing, were finished by 6:30. Our waiter was attentive without hovering. All the food was delicious and very nice portions. Loved the whole experience.`Highly recommend the calimari and the melanzana

When in Boston, go here! I do not throw out a five star rating loosely..Chef Rich Ansara' s menu is amazing. I had the seafood fra d'aviolo what a great choice. Best I have ever had, no lie, as the quality of seafood, amazing broth with just the right amount of heat was perfect! My wife had the pasta with Bolognese sauce, she's Italian and has high standards...the sauce got her overwhelming stamp of approval. Just so nice to find a place where you feel.at home the moment you walk in the door..thats Tresca. We will be back!

The seafood was fresh and sauces seasoned to perfection. Pasta was perfectly al dente. The tables upstairs were a bit crowded and noisy but it is the North End and everyone was having a good time!

I lucked out - another great Italian meal from a place I hadn't visited but wanted to try out. My wife and I treated our daughter and boyfriend out and from the moment we sat down until the last sip of my Grappa the evening was perfect. Owner and Chef Rich Ansara stopped at our table and asked what he could make us for dinner and gave some suggestions which started off this perfect visit. Wine list was excellent and had plenty of selections that varied in price and had choices for any type of wine connoisseur and budget plan. Appetizers were excellent and meal choices from daily specials to choices from menu were plenty. I had the veal chop which was perfectly prepared. I would definitely visit again and enjoyed my first visit there. If you are looking for a excellent Italian meal you don't need to go any further down the street. Also - if you are a Boston Bruins hockey fan you may even see Ray Bourque in there on occasion since he and Rich are partners in this venture.

Solid, but too many tables on top of each other on second floor...I don't like other diners breathing down my food. Nice waitress, very good food.

The host and wait staff were very polite, nothing negative to say. The atmosphere was good in the restaurant but as a two-person reservation we were cramped in close to other two-person reservations while the rest of the floor remained open for larger parties. I️ wish we could have been spaced out a bit since the restaurant didn’t fill up until we were above to leave.

The food was good, not great. The burrata appetizer special was by far the best. The arrancini appetizer special was meh, and the gnocchi mushroom pasta was underwhelming.

The most disappointing thing was to be charged a $3 fee to split our meal, especially when it was not made clear on the menu or by the waitress that the fee would be applied.

Most likely wouldn’t go back since there are so many other great places in the NE, but nothing was especially bad.

Disappointing. The noise level was over the top to make quiet conversation difficult. The lighting was so dim I needed to use the table candle to see the menu. I realize that this was probably me and was t a problem for the other guests.

One pet peeve of mine is pasta water that is not salted. I had the shrimp and angel hair which if it had been salted would have been much better. The overall meal compared to restaurants around Tresca was fair.

This was our third visit. Started with chicken parm eggroll, husband like it . We had wonderful dinner including the special pumpkin risotto and I had the lobster raviolis that were filled to compacity of chunks of lobster . Prices were what we expect for the city. The Chef came out to check on our meals to see if we were happy, a nice touch we absolutely were.

Went for the first time Saturday night. Heard the place was very busy so we made a reservation. Had a lovely seat on the second overlooking busy, with pedestrian traffic, Hanover Street. The service was spot-on as was the appetizers and entrees. Good wine selection and saw Rich, the chef/owner, actually interacting with customers and inquiring about their meals. Will definitely return.

I had been to Tresca a few years ago, but only for drinks and dessert. I was so happy that we were able to get back there- I have moved to the North End and love trying lots of different places, but Tresca was definitely on my list. We had a great seat near a window, and the food was out of this world! Our waiter was great and checked on us multiple times to ensure that we liked our food choices and had everything we needed! We all loved it and will definitely go back again!!

I took my Asian date, who is not familiar with Italian food, here on a Friday night. I ordered from the menu avoiding cheesy and cream-based items. We had a garden salads, shrimp scampi and split the veal chop. Everything was excellent! My date particularly loved the angel hair pasta in scampi sauce.

Service and ambiance were great. Validated parking at Boston Marketplace Garage was an added “Benny”.

On our flight into Boston, a fellow traveler from the Boston area recommended Tresca, so we decided to try it, and we weren't sorry! Rarely do we ever get a visit at our table from the chef, but Richard came by twice and very engagingly talked about dishes he was proudest of. We took his advice and had the veal chop and the swordfish - definitely wonderful fare! Our waitress, Sarah, was a gem! A really lovely evening!
