Tresca Ratings and Reviews
Tresca was everything that I hoped it would be plus more. We had our first visit for Valentine’s Day, having easily made the reservations online in advance. We were slightly early and greeted by an amazing concierge staff then seated immediately. We had a window table that was set back in the corner and surprisingly private. Sarah took care of us and she was absolutely wonderful. The lobster ravioli to die for! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it was the best food and service we’ve ever had. The rose at the end of the meal was a really sweet touch. We can’t wait to go back for many more special dinners!
Great location, nice inside, service was absolutely awful. We weren’t even acknowledged at our table for about 20 minutes. After that it seemed we were a nuisance to them. They asked if we would like fresh pepper for our salad. We said yes and they never returned.
With that said the food was very good.
The staff was friendly and the bar area was great. We were seated downstairs, directly next to the stairway, which had very little atmosphere--lacked the feel of the North End. The food was good, but for the price, I was expecting exceptional ($40 Fruitti De Mare). I've had much better experiences at other restaurants in the North End. I would go back for the bar, but most likely not to dine.
It was our first time at Tresca and as self declared foodies who frequent lots of restaurants - especially in the north end - we were excited to try it. We started off with cocktails from the drink menu - which were fabulous - and the chicken parm egg rolls and calamari as appetizers. Both were awesome - our only complaint was that the chicken parm egg rolls were actually one egg roll cut in half so it was hard to “share” this app with 3 people. 2 of us ordered the Vitelli Milanese as our entrees - it came topped with an arugula “salad” and fresh grated parm cheese. The cut of veal was great - nice and lean decent sized piece cooked to perfection. The “salad” on top was very flavorful. I do wish this came with some type of a side - whether it be a veggie or a scoop of pasta. If we hadn’t ordered appetizers, the piece of veal alone wouldn’t have completely filled us as an entree. The third person in our group ordered chicken piccata which was a hearty portion with a side of rigatoni which she loved. The waitstaff was attentive without being overbearing and everyone was super friendly and polit. Overall we were fans of this place and will definitely be back - highly recommend!
Of four appetizers two were inedible and two were good
Of entrees 2 were mediocre at best two were quite good. We are well travelled foodies and have no issue paying for good food.... but the price was not reflective of the quality of food . We were surprised considering the reviews.
I went to Tresca on Saturday 1/13/118 with some friends. They had never been before, while I have gone several times. They were astounded by the food and loved the ambiance. They also complimented the service.
I was extremely pleased with the service and food here and my experience at Tresca was everything I was hoping it would be and more. My friends were very happy with the restaurant and would come back again.
This place is amazing! The food, the wine, the bread, the atmoshere; all a 10/10. It really helped make my boyfriend’s birthday special. They even brought out a free piece of cake for him! So if you’re looking for a romantic place with amazing food, I highly recommend!
Richard, you have once again outdid yourself with a perfect New Years Eve menu. There were so many choices from the appetizer's to the main meals for everyone's palate. For those who chose to cancel because of the weather, you missed a lovely, warm and delicious meal paired with an extensive wine list. It was truly a wonderful way to ring in the New Year!
My husband and I both got the Chicken Parmesan off of the New Years Eve set menu. A bit pricey but we can not stop talking about how delicious it was, we enjoyed a bottle of wine to go along with dinner but that is all we got because the pricing was high. But all in all very nice and excellent food . The tables are close together so hard to have a good intimate conversation. I recommend Tresca and do plan to visit again for some more chicken parm!
The food was well prepared, great presentation and delicious. The olive oil for bread dipping was outstanding as was the Risotto Del Mar and Gnocci. Sara(h) was an attentive, informative and very friendly server which made our night! The overall atmosphere, although a tad on the loud side, was fun and casually elegant. We would go back in a heartbeat.
Delicous dinner my husband and our 21 year olds. Our reservation was on time, Waitress and staff attentive- ordered drinks, then inquired about a sangria type beverage- waitress offered a tasing to my daughter and I. Dinner my hisand and i got seafood dishes excellent, daughter got mushroom gnocci and son a bolognese- all delicous.
Came here with husband and kids for my birthday, we all loved what we ordered and had a fantastic evening. We were greeted immediately at the door and seated right away at a window table upstairs. Beautiful view, perfect lighting, and amazing service. Only downside was no Ray Bourque sightings ;-) We will definitely be back!
Tresca is a favorite of ours in the North End. Many more options than traditional red sauce and pasta. The fried artichoke hearts and onion strings were outstanding as an appetizer. A few people in our group raved about the risotto del mare. Everything was delicious.. not a bad dish in the group and the drink menu is very interesting.
We were seated at the window on the first floor which would be a wonderful table normally, but it was a frigid evening and was way too drafty to be comfortable. The host was quite accommodating and moved us upstairs.
Sometimes in the North End you are paying for the experience instead of the actual food. Here, not only was the atmosphere great (we were seated next to the fireplace) but the food was well worth the money. Chicken Marsala may have been the best I have had in Boston.
The food was outstanding. I would highly recommend the eggplant tower, the linguine and clams and chicken piccata. Service was very attentive without being overbearing. The only drawback, and minor at that, was the decibel level of the upstairs dining room. Very welcoming staff throughout the establishment.
Overal a perfect dining experiance. Food was FANTASTIC, but the only thing better was the service. Our waiter, Brendan showed an in depth knowledge of the wine menu and very helpful hints for the menu. Plenty of attention but not so much as to be a nuisance. Order off the menu, ask for the Ray Bourque special !!
