Of four appetizers two were inedible and two were good
Of entrees 2 were mediocre at best two were quite good. We are well travelled foodies and have no issue paying for good food.... but the price was not reflective of the quality of food . We were surprised considering the reviews.

I went to Tresca on Saturday 1/13/118 with some friends. They had never been before, while I have gone several times. They were astounded by the food and loved the ambiance. They also complimented the service.

I was extremely pleased with the service and food here and my experience at Tresca was everything I was hoping it would be and more. My friends were very happy with the restaurant and would come back again.

This place is amazing! The food, the wine, the bread, the atmoshere; all a 10/10. It really helped make my boyfriend’s birthday special. They even brought out a free piece of cake for him! So if you’re looking for a romantic place with amazing food, I highly recommend!

Richard, you have once again outdid yourself with a perfect New Years Eve menu. There were so many choices from the appetizer's to the main meals for everyone's palate. For those who chose to cancel because of the weather, you missed a lovely, warm and delicious meal paired with an extensive wine list. It was truly a wonderful way to ring in the New Year!

My husband and I both got the Chicken Parmesan off of the New Years Eve set menu. A bit pricey but we can not stop talking about how delicious it was, we enjoyed a bottle of wine to go along with dinner but that is all we got because the pricing was high. But all in all very nice and excellent food . The tables are close together so hard to have a good intimate conversation. I recommend Tresca and do plan to visit again for some more chicken parm!

The food was well prepared, great presentation and delicious. The olive oil for bread dipping was outstanding as was the Risotto Del Mar and Gnocci. Sara(h) was an attentive, informative and very friendly server which made our night! The overall atmosphere, although a tad on the loud side, was fun and casually elegant. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Came here with husband and kids for my birthday, we all loved what we ordered and had a fantastic evening. We were greeted immediately at the door and seated right away at a window table upstairs. Beautiful view, perfect lighting, and amazing service. Only downside was no Ray Bourque sightings ;-) We will definitely be back!

Tresca is a favorite of ours in the North End. Many more options than traditional red sauce and pasta. The fried artichoke hearts and onion strings were outstanding as an appetizer. A few people in our group raved about the risotto del mare. Everything was delicious.. not a bad dish in the group and the drink menu is very interesting.
We were seated at the window on the first floor which would be a wonderful table normally, but it was a frigid evening and was way too drafty to be comfortable. The host was quite accommodating and moved us upstairs.

Sometimes in the North End you are paying for the experience instead of the actual food. Here, not only was the atmosphere great (we were seated next to the fireplace) but the food was well worth the money. Chicken Marsala may have been the best I have had in Boston.

The food was outstanding. I would highly recommend the eggplant tower, the linguine and clams and chicken piccata. Service was very attentive without being overbearing. The only drawback, and minor at that, was the decibel level of the upstairs dining room. Very welcoming staff throughout the establishment.

This is a terrific spot w good food, excellent service and a terrific No End Location
Only drawback is fiat floor dining can be a little laid and chilly in winter due to door and layout. Still well worth the trip.

Overal a perfect dining experiance. Food was FANTASTIC, but the only thing better was the service. Our waiter, Brendan showed an in depth knowledge of the wine menu and very helpful hints for the menu. Plenty of attention but not so much as to be a nuisance. Order off the menu, ask for the Ray Bourque special !!

Arrived on a busy saturday night and out table was ready. Unfortunately it was too close to other tables and a baby in a high chair was at the next table. I explained that we as older adults do not want to be seated near babies. They found us another table right away but did balk at my attitude. However if I am going to drop $200 for a romantic dinner I want to sit in an area I can actually talk to my partner. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. We shared a salad and I had an appetizer and a small plate. My partner had veal. Loved the espresso martini. Will return but ask for a specific quiet table next time.

We had a reservation for 4 the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We were seated immediately and the room appeared to be full & was very lively. Everyone was very pleased with their meals. I ordered the special pumpkin risotto served in an actual pumpkin with chicken, cashews, cranberries and a slightly sweet risotto. It was a great choice and I took home the bit I couldn’t finish for a great lunch the next day. The artichoke appetizer was shared and enjoyed by all. One of our party had the spinach salad and meatball appetizer for her meal and enjoyed them both. It was our first time here and we were impressed by the food and service and will be back. We have just moved to near the North End from the suburbs and are working our way through the North End restaurants. A second visit has not been extended to all our selections.

We had a very good meal at Tresca two nights ago.

The appetizers, chicken parm egg rolls and the buratta were excellent. For the main meals, I had the veal parm that was very good, one daughter had the chicken parm and the other had a pasta dish off the menu that they said were very good. my wife had the pumkin risotto special that was very good. The wine was great and the service was excellent. the portions were more than generous as we all had some leftovers.

The only thing that was sightly negative was that we were seated downstairs which has a small dinning area with just 4 tables and there was a party of 10 right next to us so I would say the ambiance was just ok. I would ask to sit upstairs next time.

Definitely will be back.

Tresca was outstanding! The food was creative, fresh, well prepared, beautifully presented, authentic, and wonderfully flavorful. Great selection of appetizers, a robust selection of delectable and creative dinner specials, and an impressive wine list. Service was also outstanding; attentive, polite, and genuine. My party and I felt well attended to and cared for, and everyone loved the food. Will definitely return for more.

When in Boston, go here! I do not throw out a five star rating loosely..Chef Rich Ansara' s menu is amazing. I had the seafood fra d'aviolo what a great choice. Best I have ever had, no lie, as the quality of seafood, amazing broth with just the right amount of heat was perfect! My wife had the pasta with Bolognese sauce, she's Italian and has high standards...the sauce got her overwhelming stamp of approval. Just so nice to find a place where you feel.at home the moment you walk in the door..thats Tresca. We will be back!
