Tried this place for Boston Restaurant Week special event. The food was good and the service was amazing. It's worth trying.
Hat trick! The pre meal bread and oil were awesome, the appetizers were great and the entrees were perfect. I had an amazing dinner with my family and can’t wait to go back. My new North End favorite.
Only one server, who continued to forget to put our order in or thought someone else has brought a drink or food. She was over whelmed , and I don’t fault her for the position they put her in. The food was not good at all the pizza was way too salty and the turkey tips were dry and the risotto was not cooked. For a north end Italian restaurant, Italian food was not on the menu.
Had a great time, the food was amazing and the service was good. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good Italian food. the bolognese was by far the best I have tasted.
Early dinner reservation prior to hockey game at Boston Garden. This can be tricky sometimes if service if off but everything was fabulous at Tresca. The food was outstanding, service was efficient and timely, chef came to the table to ask how things were. Desserts were creative with ice cream pot pie and standard italian desserts also. Appetizers and main dishes were outstanding! Our seating was on the second floor and first thing we noticed was how spacious and comfortable it was, tables weren't jammed on top of each other. Waitstaff was friendly and efficient. Upon leaving, all the staff at reception desk wished us a good evening and thanked us for coming. Left after a wonderful meal with a very warm feeling, will f
certainly go back!
We have eaten at several restaurants in the North End, but this was by far our favorite!! Can't wait to go back.
Sarah, our server, was amazing! The carbonara was near perfection. The wine list is diverse and selections were above standard. I had the Osso Bucco and my wife had the Milanese. You can not describe these meals in adequate words. Each bite was better than the last. Their daily specials were amazing as well. We would suggest the staff be more attentive to coming over with cracked pepper and cheese since it is not on the table. This night exceeded our expectations and we highly suggest you add this to your north end list. They got it right in all aspects.
Wonderful experience! Would recommend it!
I surprised my husband for his birthday by coming here for dinner before the Bruins game. It’s only our second time but I can’t imagine going anywhere else now. Our first visit we where lucky enough to meet Mr. Bourque! Apparently he was out of town during our second visit. However, the hostess surprised my husband with an autographed picture of Mr. Bourque as a birthday present! My husband has been a lifelong Bruins fan so this gift really meant a lot to him! They generously gave a delicious dessert to him also.
The food and service has always been consistently excellent, authentic, reasonably priced, and a wonderful experience overall. Sadly, we’re moving to CO soon but we hope to be able to get back to Tresca’s at least once or twice more before doing so.
One of the truly special restaurants in the North End.
We arrived early for our reservation and decided to start with cocktails at the bar and a brief update on the bruins game. The bartender was great and drinks were perfect - he was very attentive. We then went upstairs for dinner which was excellent and plentiful. Service was great and service was very good. My wife went to the bathroom which was very disappointing - no warm water or towels and in general it needed attention.
Although when I made the reservation I noted it was a birthday, it was never acknowledged by the staff.
We were celebrating 3 Birthdays and we had a wonderful time. There are many superb restaurants in the area but This is a family favorite in the North End.
Thank you very much! We had a great time. Dinner was delicious!
Great food & service!
A great experience. Loved the fried artichokes!
I picked out Tresca as my wife was flying in that night during dinner time. We arrived earlier than the reservation and they were very accommodating. Once we were settled the waitstaff got us started with some wine and bread. She offered recommendations for dinner. My wife knew exactly what she wanted, Eggplant Parmigiana. I struggled a bit as there were many things on the menu I wanted. I settled on Spaghetti Carbonara. We had the Beet Salad for an Anti Pasta.
When the main courses arrived, the Eggplant was a huge portion. The Carbonara was a perfect portion and when I bit into it I knew I made the right choice. It was so good! And yes, my wife enjoyed the Eggplant.
We skipped dessert as we were very content!
We will happily come back to Tresca and you should note they validate parking at the Parcel 7 garage in Haymarket.
Went on a date with my boyfriend this past weekend and did we LOVE IT! What a stunning and peaceful place to be! We loved our waiter and the service as soon as we arrived in the front door! We actually got there an hour earlier than our reservation and they got us in with zero hassle! Our dishes and drinks and dessert were to die for. We will be back again very soon!
We had a wonderful time! The food and service were excellent . Our waiter was outstanding! I wish I could remember his name . Can’t wait to go back.
We had a tremendous meal. Mushroom gnocchi was perfect, and the lobster ravioli was fresh and delicious. An excellent wine list as well.
My boyfriend and I were here to celebrate Valentine’s Day,the food was awesome & the atmosphere was even better, very cozy.We sat near the window and could see all the people walking by on Hanover street. Our waitress was very attentive & professional.I would recommend Tresca to anyone that wants to know a great Italian restaurant to go to in the north end!
Great. Loved the food, service, and restaurant. Highly recommend!
I had a wonderful evening celebrating my 41st birthday at Tresca! I had been once before for a special event and had a lovely experience both visits! They have a great selection of wines and entrées... my husband and I both ordered one of the specials and loved our meals, appetizer, and salads! We also ordered a bottle of Montepuliano, which was divine! I’ll definitely be back... in fact, we already made reservations during restaurant week next month!
Fantastic - a favorite spot for date night, always great. Food is amazing and the service is top-notch!
Great food, location, ambiance. Excellent selection with creative takes on standard dishes.
Tresca was everything that I hoped it would be plus more. We had our first visit for Valentine’s Day, having easily made the reservations online in advance. We were slightly early and greeted by an amazing concierge staff then seated immediately. We had a window table that was set back in the corner and surprisingly private. Sarah took care of us and she was absolutely wonderful. The lobster ravioli to die for! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it was the best food and service we’ve ever had. The rose at the end of the meal was a really sweet touch. We can’t wait to go back for many more special dinners!
Excellent experience and excellent dinner!!!
The dinner was great. Tasty food and great service!
Great location, nice inside, service was absolutely awful. We weren’t even acknowledged at our table for about 20 minutes. After that it seemed we were a nuisance to them. They asked if we would like fresh pepper for our salad. We said yes and they never returned.
With that said the food was very good.
The staff was friendly and the bar area was great. We were seated downstairs, directly next to the stairway, which had very little atmosphere--lacked the feel of the North End. The food was good, but for the price, I was expecting exceptional ($40 Fruitti De Mare). I've had much better experiences at other restaurants in the North End. I would go back for the bar, but most likely not to dine.
Delicious food, courteous staff, lovely ambiance. One of my favorite places to eat!
We ordered 1/2 size pastas and a few apps. Gnocchi was amazing. Mushroom in fillo was great too. Got loud as we were wrapping up.
The food was excellent. Very nice atmosphere. They were very accommodating when I moved my reservation up an hour. It was my first time there, and I will definitely be back.
Delicious food and friendly knowledgeable staff !
Tresca never disappoints. The entire experience is wonderful. Everything is fresh and well prepared.
Our first time at Tresca's. Great food, excellent service, nice atmosphere. Some items are a bit pricey. Might be more of a special occasion place. Would definitely go again and have already recommended to others
Excellent food and service. Live in Boston and would recommend as a north end place to visit!
Amazing food as always. This is truly our favorite restaurant!
It was our first time at Tresca and as self declared foodies who frequent lots of restaurants - especially in the north end - we were excited to try it. We started off with cocktails from the drink menu - which were fabulous - and the chicken parm egg rolls and calamari as appetizers. Both were awesome - our only complaint was that the chicken parm egg rolls were actually one egg roll cut in half so it was hard to “share” this app with 3 people. 2 of us ordered the Vitelli Milanese as our entrees - it came topped with an arugula “salad” and fresh grated parm cheese. The cut of veal was great - nice and lean decent sized piece cooked to perfection. The “salad” on top was very flavorful. I do wish this came with some type of a side - whether it be a veggie or a scoop of pasta. If we hadn’t ordered appetizers, the piece of veal alone wouldn’t have completely filled us as an entree. The third person in our group ordered chicken piccata which was a hearty portion with a side of rigatoni which she loved. The waitstaff was attentive without being overbearing and everyone was super friendly and polit. Overall we were fans of this place and will definitely be back - highly recommend!
I am in Boston several times per year on business and Tresca is one of my go to restaurants. Love the ambiance and the food. The service is always good as well.
