creamy crawfish étouffée baked in a handmade crust
Chicken, duck confit, house andouille. Entrée soup served with Hot Garlic Bread
Had the redfish which was delicious. It came with a smallish serving of hash browns. Even with appetizer and dessert, I was left wanting more. Service wasn’t great … after meal was served, there was no immediate follow-up which would have been helpful because my wife wanted a condiment that wasn’t on the table. Good not great experience overall
Wonderful Thanksgiving dinner experience! We had the Thanksgiving dinner and the turkey was amazing as well as every side dish was creatively flavored! Soooo delicious!!
Frog legs were great. Shrimp and grits were just OK. Grits were soupy, and ratio of gravy to grits was around 60/40.
We had a large party of family and friends that came from around the country. From the hostess to the waitress (Evelyn was awesome) to the chef, everything was top notch. We were greeted and seated immediately. Orders were taken promptly and served just the same. I had the crawfish pie which was amazing and everyone thought their dishes were great.
The ambiance was great!
I highly recommend this place.
Terrible experience at Trenasse. Overpriced, low quality food and slow service. I don’t understand why this place is so highly rated. Food was at best mediocre and overall very disappointing. Do a favor to yourself and don’t go to this place.
Serviced is amazing and so as the food!!! Definitely come back at this restaurant
Great downtown lunch spot. The food is delicious.
Food was absolutely incredible, I ordered the Taste of Trenasse because it was too hard to choose just one item, and there were no regrets, everything was fabulous. Outdoor seating area was off street and quiet, had plenty of heaters to stave off the evening chill. Service was great as well. It was so good that it was tempting to go back the next day for lunch, but there were too many things we still wanted to try while in town.
The food was very good. The atmosphere and decor can be improved.
Amazing!!! Our server Eric made the night super memorable!!
Brought staff for dinner. Exceptional all away around. Highly recommend
Food was great! Service was great! We actually went there by accident but we will definitely be back. Loved it!
Great atmosphere and great food! The shrimp and grits were amazing!
Wonderful brunch with family! Food was delicious, servers were great!
Food was very good, the oysters were huge and fresh, and the service was great
Went with our grandchild. He was happy and quiet. This was our first restaurant to go to while we are here for a wedding. They deliberately avoided waiting on us including walking by several times. We were super upset and left.
Had a noon reservation, arrived a little early and was seated immediately after showing proof of vaccination. Server came right over with water, took our drink order, showed pictures of some entrees he recommended. Everything we ordered was great. No complaints whatsoever. The Muffi is a fantastic sandwich!
While the service and overall menu were very good, the entrees we were served were not exactly up to expectations - the potatoes were barely above hash brown (no seasoning) level, and the red fish special was really no different than the regular red fish.
We ate here for brunch and it was fabulous. The food was amazing and they have bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys. Also, my husband found a pearl in his oysters. I will definitely go back!!
Everything started out very well. Reservation for 9:30am, got there about 9:40 and seated right away. Ordered bottomless mimosas and dozen raw oysters. Came out quickly. Our server was busy and busting his tail, but we had a good 20 minute period where our mimosa glasses were empty, as were the table next to us. We actually went up to the bar to get refills. And our actual entrees to a very long time to come out, and when they did, the eggs benedict were bascially 2 boiled eggs on some bread. And the "biscuit from scratch" was nothing more than a frozen "Grand" biscuit out of the can.
The crawfish pot pit was more than I expected, truly amazing. Everything was perfect. Our entrees were amazing, I had the drum and she ordered the stew. Both were beautifully presented and as great to eat.
Food was great. Service was slow. Manager was snippy. Won’t be back.
Everything about this experience should have been great. The server was busy, but fine. The ambience was moderate. The food looked great. But nothing, not one item out of five, was good. Nothing was bad. It was all fine, but definitely the least impressive food we’ve had in four days and nights of fine eating.
It was lovely
Our waiter was attentive without being overbearing. The food was delicious and made us want to return. My oysters with pancetta and cheese were wonderful!
The food was okay. Nothing to write home about and it took an incredibly long time for it to come out. We also requested to sit inside when we booked our reservation but were still sat outside in the cold. It was very cramped out on the patio. We were served with plastic glasses and the whole experience outside just felt like an afterthought. Definitely my least favorite dinning experience from our many trips to New Orleans.
Service was ok- nothing to brag about. Everything we ordered was cooked well beyond its perfect temperature. The shrimp were hard and rubbery and the fish was grilled until it was dry. The charbroiled oysters are mediocre at best.
Also the entire place filled with smoke from the grill- should probably invest in better ventilation.
Food was D E L I C I O U S!
Outstanding experience. Our server was great and the food was something we’ll miss when we go home. Treat yourself.
Highly recommend, food and service is outstanding. Will return again, fine dinner experience.
Great food and really nice and attentive servers. Pig skins were awesome!
Loved the quiet atmosphere. Food was very good. Service was great!
We spent our anniversary here. The food was good, I ate most of my husband's crawfish pie. Order anything with grits and you'll be happy. Service was quick and our server was super communicative
Excellent meal, service and experience!
Where to start? Wanted to go at 7 and was told no open tables until 7:45. Fine, starving but I’ll wait. Arrived on time to an almost EMPTY restaurant. Our waiter greeted us with a heavy Indian accent, barely understandable. Ordered some cocktails which took 15-20 minutes to get and mine arrived in a highball glass 1/8 filled. It was an $11 dollar 1/2 a shot. The waiter was awkward and made no recommendations except to say he’ll take it back. I was perplexed. We ordered and the waiter gave my gf a hard time when she was trying to substitute bread ($5) for the fried green tomatoes ($14) which she couldn’t have due to a deadly seafood allergy when he admitted the used the same fry oil for everything. She oh so politely pointed out the price difference actually benefitted the restaurant. Ready to ask for the manager he finally acquiesced. Again, we were left puzzled. Food come and my gf’s cauliflower steak was bland and undercooked atop bland bucatini. No parm or pepper was offered. She did not enjoy it. My crawfish pot pie was good but too big as I was informed they did not have the smaller appetizer size…again, huh? We left under-whelmed and actually spoke to the manager on the way out. It was apparent he could care less even asking if we were locals. Oh, so since we’re often here-out of town era- our opinion meant little. Wow. Just wow. Won’t be back…ever.
The experience and food was great. I will be returning.
Where do I begin!!! Couldn’t do simple Wedge ( previously) on the menu. How hard would that be?
Server lied to my wife when they said her Scallop entree should be cold but Manager said that wasn’t correct.
Other food so so!!
Not a go back to place!!!
The food upset my stomach. Was not made as advertised by management. As a returning combat veteran looking forward to authentic New Orleans cuisine, was underwhelming experience. I sent them a message for a refund on the fact that the food made my stomach sick. Had to call it a night early.
