Where to start? Wanted to go at 7 and was told no open tables until 7:45. Fine, starving but I’ll wait. Arrived on time to an almost EMPTY restaurant. Our waiter greeted us with a heavy Indian accent, barely understandable. Ordered some cocktails which took 15-20 minutes to get and mine arrived in a highball glass 1/8 filled. It was an $11 dollar 1/2 a shot. The waiter was awkward and made no recommendations except to say he’ll take it back. I was perplexed. We ordered and the waiter gave my gf a hard time when she was trying to substitute bread ($5) for the fried green tomatoes ($14) which she couldn’t have due to a deadly seafood allergy when he admitted the used the same fry oil for everything. She oh so politely pointed out the price difference actually benefitted the restaurant. Ready to ask for the manager he finally acquiesced. Again, we were left puzzled. Food come and my gf’s cauliflower steak was bland and undercooked atop bland bucatini. No parm or pepper was offered. She did not enjoy it. My crawfish pot pie was good but too big as I was informed they did not have the smaller appetizer size…again, huh? We left under-whelmed and actually spoke to the manager on the way out. It was apparent he could care less even asking if we were locals. Oh, so since we’re often here-out of town era- our opinion meant little. Wow. Just wow. Won’t be back…ever.
The experience and food was great. I will be returning.
Where do I begin!!! Couldn’t do simple Wedge ( previously) on the menu. How hard would that be?
Server lied to my wife when they said her Scallop entree should be cold but Manager said that wasn’t correct.
Other food so so!!
Not a go back to place!!!
The food upset my stomach. Was not made as advertised by management. As a returning combat veteran looking forward to authentic New Orleans cuisine, was underwhelming experience. I sent them a message for a refund on the fact that the food made my stomach sick. Had to call it a night early.
Hotel restaurant. Average food and limited menu. Server was nice but not too sharp. There are better options.
Absolutely amazing . Drinks were strong but refreshing . Waiter was knowledgeable. Everything was awesome
The standout here was the service. We had several check-ins from every level of staff to make sure our experience was impeccable. A couple of dishes could have used some adjustments but overall it was a brilliant experience.
Very pleased with everything from start to finish! The staff was awesome and the food did not disappoint. Brie burger, cauliflower steak, mahi-mahi dish, not to mention the fried green tomatoes, all delicious! We will come back next time we visit New Orleans.
I just think I have been here several times and the food was just off this time . Maybe the regular chef was off but the meat on 3 of 4 dishes was very very tough.
My boyfriend and I were in town for the weekend and I found this place via an article about the best nola brunches. I then came to Yelp and the reviews were outstanding and y’all did not disappoint. Everything was incredible from the food to the service. We both got bottomless mimosas - they are $15 here!! Our server was Brian and he never let our mimosa glasses get empty. I do bottomless brunches fairly often and servers rarely stay on top of it like that. We also asked for ours to have less orange juice and he gladly made us a new carafe which was perfect. For food I ordered the Coolinary option - everything was delicious!! My bf got the scallops and enjoyed them as well.
The only complaint I have is that the music was sooo good like early 2000s r&b and hip hop, but you could barely hear it. I’m sure they do that to avoid it turning into a day party lol but I do wish it was a bit louder because it was all the good songs.
We stayed at the Ace hotel and it was only about a 3 minute walk from there so the location was perfect. Highly recommend!!
Delicious ! Good variety of items for all palates.
As usual the food was fantastic! The server wasn't very energetic but she got the job done. Usual the servers are awesome and I will continue to go back as often as possible
Food was delicious and service was warm and friendly.
Great food and service, busy/little loud and temp quite warm (and I’m usually cold natured). Overall very enjoyable evening
The food, service and atmosphere were all wonderful. Nicely located too since we were staying at the Residence Inn next door.
Great food, great service, convenient to get to in Intercontinental Hotel.
Good food. Service was great
Fantastic dinner. We got the blackened redfish 3 course special along with a crawfish pie. Everything was perfectly cooked seasoned and executed Best meal we have had in months.
Food and service were great. Intimate dining setting. Be sure to get the cauliflower steak and shrimp n grits!
Best shrimp and grits I ever had. Server steered me towards an excellent dessert
Solid and reasonably priced wine list. Crawfish Pie and Amberjack were both great and The Muffi Poboy with the semi-curly fries was amazing
We celebrated our daughter’s birthday at Trenasse during a family trip to New Orleans. The food and service was impeccable. Our server “K” was attentive and courteous. Everything from the drinks, the appetizers, and the entrées were absolutely delicious. Make sure you order the bread. It is delicious and comes with a red bean butter. That is the best butter I’ve ever tasted! For entrees we ordered the shrimp and grits, stinky stew, NY Strip, a hamburger and the cauliflower steak. All were very good. Dining at Trenasse was a great experience and we look forward to returning soon.
We had a really great experience. We ordered the Rockefeller Oysters, stinky stew and fresh catch. The food was really good and the staff was very nice! We highly recommend!
It was amazing dinner! Brian was super friendly and we will be back
It was great from start to finish, our waitress was great the food was prefect
Great lunch spot. Outstanding New Orleans food!
Absolutely loved this place! The service, food and atmosphere was perfect. Our waiter was brilliant on the menu and handled our daughter’s food allergy needs with great care and wisdom.
The experience , food , drinks and staff were amazing! Will definitely be back !!
Fantastic food, servers were very professional and informative. Will definitely go back.
Tasty, well-prepared local dishes. The seafood will bring me back.
Great food & great service - hard surfaces make some conversations a challenge
The food was very good. My husband had the crawfish pie and I had the shrimp and grits. Unfortunately our server disappeared after taking our order and we went nearly the entire meal without drink refills.
The inside of the restaurant is lovely. I don’t recommend the outdoor option we selected. The patio is on an alley across from a parking deck and there were vagrants and dog walkers next to where we were eating our meal.
Relaxing ambience, delicious food with appealing presentation, good happy hour drinks and prices, and great service with no wait. We stayed at the hotel and it was busy during our entire stay.
Awesome food, wonderful service! Highly recommend to locals and tourists!
The food was fabulous. We had the oyster log of 36 oysters and were not disappointed along with a few appetizers.
I had requested a window table. We were put at a table in a dark side area off main dining room. We waited 10 minutes for someone to take care of us. Our waiter seemed to be overworked.
Nice ambience and good food. Selection is on the smaller side but quality is good. Got my order slightly wrong the first time but promptly fixed. Good outdoor seating. Located in the Intercontinental hotel building.
Greta Service and Food. The bartender, Khryschain, was very nice and made us a great after dinner drink!!
Stylish yet casual--good spot to share some classic New Orleans fare. The gruyere and pancetta oysters were awesome!
Best burger and bbq shrimp I’ve ever had !!
