My experience at this restaurant was not great. We came because I had been before a few months ago and I’d loved the gnocchi dish (it had corn in the sauce and was amazing). However, when we got there, I saw that the menu had changed and there was now a different gnocchi dish. I understand that menus change and still got the gnocchi but it just wasn’t as good as before. Despite this unfortunate aspect, it is not why I scored the experience so low. Our waiter, though very nice, forgot our appetizer and kept forgetting what we had ordered after we said it. Their beer and wine selection that night was also not the best (limited options for beer and out of some wines). Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
Great food with perfect portions.
The food was great, the service was terrible. It was not busy, there were only 6 of us in the whole place and we were a party of 2. Thank goodness there was a food runner to drop off our food. The waitress was non-existent. The food is good enough to give it another try but if we get the same service we would not return.
The food is good, though a little oily. There are few smaller selections other than the menu where you can choose three or four items. It would be great to have a soup and be able to order a smaller salad.
The website is inconsistent with the menu, especially with the wines. The website shows two sizes of serving, with two different prices. That is not the case. $12 for a glass of the house wine also seems overpriced.
On the bright side, the staff is friendly and the restaurant is quiet and pleasant enough so that I have gone several times.
It was a good place for a Business lunch. Quality of food good, it has valet parking, service is also good, and the location in a commercial area to a good distance of center Washington and Georgetown makes it a good place for business encounters
The lunch deal was fantastic and I loved the space. The GM was very nice, but the server seemed a little out of it
Lovely meal! The ambiance is great for a date night, very quiet, fireplace, etc. Food was excellent. The chicken definitely stood out.
Menu has a nice variety. Salads were much better than the usual fare and very tasty. The brazino and salmon entrees were very nice and the accompanying vegetable again a cut above. The kitchen has a nice palate for vegetables.
This restaurant has a great ambiance and some really good food (the gnocchi is amazing!), though the service was a little slow and other dishes (the meat/cheese board and Joey flatbread) weren’t anything special. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would definitely go back, but other than the gnocchi, I wouldn’t get the same dishes.
The server was terrible!
My husband and I made a last minute Valentine’s Day reservation at Tredici Enoteca, and our experience was more than we anticipated. The crab toast is to die for! The food and service was delightful! We can’t wait to return to Tredici Enoteca.
Food was very good. We had tuna and a Joey Flathead. Limited menu. But it's in a hotel, and we might have been the only people eating. We were eating before a 7:15 movie, but it was a Friday night, and there was still no one else by the time we left.
I liked it, except that across from where I was seated there was a large screen tv that played infomercials the whole time I was there. Not the classiest thing
The plus side first: rustic elegance at the bar and the two levels of dining space. The minus side: horrible, inedible food. We ordered the crab pasta and the chicken, and the pasta was not only absent much crab but absent all flavor. The chicken, while cooked appropriately, was in a strange and sweet sauce that was awful. We had each had a few bites of each dish and stopped. Neither of us liked either entree. Our plates looked just like they did when they were brought to us. As we sat there for 10 minutes not touching our food, no one asked how we liked the meal. When I asked for the check, the waiter saw our plates and inquired if we wanted take out containers. When I said no, he simply walked away to get the check. That's bad service, too. Whenever wait staff sees that customers haven't touched their food, they should ask the customers why. I paid the check, left all that food on the table and went down the street to Meiwah for dinner. Diner beware.
Quiet, superb service. We never felt hurried but our needs were always met. Food was good and plentiful.
We were initially disappointed that the bar area was closed due to a private party, but after being seated elsewhere we were quickly smitten by the ambiance, food selection and service! Perfect for a date night!
Beautiful decor and a helpful wait staff. They were out of the first wine we ordered. The appetizers were delightful, but the entrees left a lot to be desired. For the price, definitely not worth the experience.
Terrible service. Never even got to the food part. Was nearly 40 minutes before being brought drinks. There were only 2 other tables with customers.
The appetizers were great, in particular the mushroom & fava beans. The main dishes were ok. The blond bartender was outstanding.
We were asked if we wanted to be seated in the bar or in the dining area. We opted for the bar but the service provided by the bartender was so poor. And it wasn't because he was busy serving drinks. He just didn't have great waiter skills. So may runs and forth to get items that should have been on the table if the bar was going to used for meals. I'd been to the restaurant before, sat in the dining area, and had great service. Maybe that is what they should stick with in the future.
Service was inexcusable
Great experience except for really poor service. The place wasn’t busy at all yet we hardly ever saw our waiter. He didn’t really have any recommendations for us and didn’t seem to know the menu well. The only time he was warm and friendly was when he delivered the check at the end of the meal, presumably turning on the charm to get a big tip.
The hostess when we arrived was also pretty unprofessional. Just feels like this place could be really good if it had some better staff or maybe better training and management.
The management and staff were hostile, and the restaurant does not accommodate people with disabilities. The food was satisfactory, but very over-priced. I do not recommend it.
The food was spectacular. The seating arrangement/service was a bit off. We made a reservation and when you walk in, you’re in a hotel. There isn’t a clear “hostess” area so knowing where to go to “check-in” is a bit confusing. Once we figured it out, we sat for a while before anyone came by to get our drink orders. After that, the food came out quickly and was delicious (if a bit pricey for the amount you get).
Our second time visiting Tredici - both for breakfast. Food was excellent and the portions were huge! My only complaint (and it is not directed toward the restaurant) was that we could not order Mamosas since it was not yet 11:00AM. Will return.
Wonderful experience and a very welcoming group of staff at the restaurant. The manager Mr.Anthony was very accommodating and welcoming as well. Excellent Branzino!!
More like the seating area of a bar than a restaurant table
Had express lunch of three "salads" for $14. Loved the Israeli couscous with tomatoes, burrata and hazelnut pieces; the veal meatballs in tomato sauce, and the stuffed dates. Plenty of food and we ate in the bar, which was quiet and well served by attentive staff.
Average service. Waitress didn’t know what anything was on the menu. Didn’t realize it was in the lobby of the hotel.
Food is awesome
While this is a beautiful restaurant, the prices for what you get are ridiculous! $26 for two, moderate size pieces of chicken with NOTHING else! Not served with rice, potatoes or veggies, just 2 pieces of chicken on a plate. No bread before dinner either. The chicken was very tasty and cooked beautifully, but I could have had 4 rotisserie chickens from Walmart, which are also very tasty and cooked beautifully, for the same price. The server was very sweet but obviously new, as she was not completely familiar with the menu and she was also quite slow. I will not be returning.
Absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced!
Server takes order and never shows back up, not once! Runner delivers food - that’s it.
Come to the restaurant to have brunch and guess what, no Bloody Mary mix! Poor planning.
I need to ask the bartender for our check - unbelievable.
Very, very disappointing...
My first time at Tredici Enoteca and we will definitely be going back! I stumbled upon the restaurant online & decided to book it for a family birthday celebration. It has a great ambiance, delicious food, and is a quiet & elegant spot for a meal or drink. Couldn’t ask for anything modern!
The server practically forgot we were there. Gave up on ordering additional drinks. Food good.
Nice place and nice wait staff but slooooow service. Dessert took forever and so did he bill. Easy to fix!
Staying as guests in hotel with child, only place to eat in hotel but did not offer a kids menu. Food was pretty fancy so best we could get for him was a $16 pizza that he had one slice of.
The bar area ambiance is great. Cool decor, good cocktail/wine list. Food was under whelming and quite pricey for what you get. Suggestion would be to revamp menu.
We wanted to sit outside but there was a major bug problem and we were getting bit by them and moved inside. We watched as this happened to many other people. This has to be hurting the business as no one was sitting outside on a beautiful night and some decorative lighting would also help this area. The food is tremendous and I am always shocked that there aren’t more guests.
I’ve always loved the food here. I’ve been 4 times. 3 of those times service has been a huge issue. Please hire some experienced wait staff and train them appropriately.
Food was excellent - service was average. Took too long for them to bring me a menu, take order.
