We’ve booked the restaurant while staying in Edinburgh for my husband’s birthday. It looked great on the outside so we thought we’d try it despite only one low review on OT. Well, we haven’t actually tried the food as we were put off from the get go by a rude waitress. We were sat down in a really nice spot but the close proximity to the door, which was left open for some reason, meant we either had to keep our coats on like the table next to us did, or freeze. The evening temperatures in the middle of October in Scotland don’t make for comfortable eating outside. I’ve asked for the door to be shut which the waitress did with a bit of a strop. We then ordered our drinks, mine arrived few minutes later, but my husband’s was left at the bar and when he chased it, she brought it over slamming it on the table. We then decided to leave and find a place with a better atmosphere. The change after we paid for the drinks was also slammed on the table. No wonder it looked dead inside and the staff were more occupied with messing around than looking after customers. As we were leaving the waitress followed us to the door and rammed it open again just as the other table started to thaw down. This was the only place we visited during our 4 day stay that didn’t seem to follow any covid guidelines like track and trace, I also didn’t see any hand sanitiser on the way in.

Food was very poor value for money, starters and mains brought out at the same time with no fore warning. Food for three served on a small drinks table. Mains came with no sauce.
