Tre Trattoria @ The San Antonio Museum of Art
Only item to be aware of is location if facilities, sat outside & had to go inside & bathroom located across opposite side, walk across entire inside of restaurant. Door from bacony directly outside of bathroom, however door not available for use - ?????
Request non alcoholic beer. Outside wonderful. Inside loud not clean look
Wonderful service and delicious food!
Terrific service. Very thoughtful, patient& understanding
Reliable great food on our 2nd visit
Sat out side on a warm day but it was very pleasant.
we had a lovely time, and our waiter andres was wonderful, filling our glasses with water and our wine glasses. food was delicious .
Food and service is always amazing
The waiter, who never reveled his name, would not bring me water I had to constantly ask for more to drink. The food was good but very salty. I ordered a pizza and my wife ordered a pasta, which took 30 min, and the manager brought it out because the waiter was scared of me I guess. I didn’t understand the waiter he messed up the timing of the food my pizza took like 10 min and me and my wife waited like another 30 for the pasta. The waiter acted like we weren’t there and that messed up the dinner for me, we have dined there several times and I enjoy the Nutella desert. I guess because I have tattoos I get treated differently at places like this.
Beautiful atmosphere, inside or out. Scenic views from the veranda above the Museum Reach of the Riverwalk are really nice. The food and wine are excellent and reasonably priced and the service is friendly, courteous, helpful, and attentive without hovering...in short, it's perfect. Parking is free in the lot directly across the street. This is a must visit place as are all Jason Dady restaurants. Nothing not to like, here.
The food and service were exceptional. It is obvious that the focus is on the food and not on fancy presentation or hipster trends. We will definitely be going back.
The spaghetti and meat balls looked like Chef Boyardee and my husband said it was NOT good. They no longer have the spaghetti and meat balls they had at the old location or our favorite pizza with the pistachios. There is a single rest room for both male and female combined. And even on a not busy early evening I had to wait. Also had to walk through the kitchen to get to it. And it was too warm in the restaurant. They said they could do a Bellini and it was only tinted sparking wine of some sort. Tres has always been one of our go to restaurants. Sadly no longer.
Unfortunately, we didn’t stay to eat because the waiter was quite rude. The manager called me afterwards and invited us back, but it was too late. We had already found another dining establishment. Maybe we will try again another time.
One of our favorite places. Lovely patio overlooking the river and some of the best food in San Antonio.
We took my mother for her birthday. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. The deviled eggs were a star. We are still talking about them a day later.
Everything we ordered was fabulous, nothing was disappointing at all. Service was great - Christian was nice and helpful. Great place. Defiantly making it a regular stop.
I ate lunch at Tre Trattoria about 6 months ago and loved it. Yesterday's lunch was a disappointment in two areas. Dried parsley rather than fresh chopped indicated a step down in standards. Also, the unisex restroom's sink and faucet that had not been cleaned in a long time.
Andres took excellent care of us, starting with the suggested appetizers (artichoke and pulled mozzarella). My sister and I sat outside and enjoyed the porch overlooking the river - felt so cool on a very hot day. We split a proscuitto pizza and the chocolate mousse and chantilly dessert. I think we found a new favorite spot!
I eat at Tre almost every time I attend an event at the museum. I raved about the crispy skin trout to my neighboring table, and that's exactly what I ordered. To die for ... but not this time. It came out luke warm. Fish must be served immediately after it is plated. It was not : ( and served on a warm plate. The trout is very thin so it doesn't take much to cool it off. I should have returned it. I've had better service as well. I would normally give Tre 5 stars. Not this time. I was a table of 1. I sensed/watched I was less priority because of that. The summer (very creamy corn) bisque ... EXCELLENT!
Nice quaint restaurant with amazing food. I recommend the deviled eggs they are delicious! The staff was extremly friendly and helped up celebrate my 1 yr old daughter's birthday - even though she fell asleep, it was 100% worth it. Highly recommended whe you xome visit the museum.
Awesome Waiter. TJ did a wonderful job with my 11 year old Granddaughter! 5 Stars all the way👍🏽
The service was extremely slow ....12:45 on a midweek day. The Caesar salad was way overdressed , the pasta was not hot. Gnats swarmed over the food & wine. No one ordered pizza & it took more than 30 minutes for our food after we ordered . Won’t be back anytime soon
This was my first visit. I ordered:
Beverage: Italian Spritzer
Appetizer: Pulled Mozzarella with buttered toast
Entree: Pan seared Potato Gnocchi with mushroom bisque
Dessert: milk chocolate budino and coffee
Food was great, flavorful and just delicious. Portions were good for the price. Service was great. I sat indoors because it was a little warm but there is outdoor patio seating available that overlooks a portion of the Riverwalk. The music playing was also really good and just the right volume. I'll definitely retrun.
Food never disappoints
Absolutely love this place. Perfect for a nice date night with a scenic and peaceful view of the Riverwalk. Food is excellent and the service staff is attentive. Will return for future dates.
A beautiful Bday lunch with my besties - unhurried on the river balcony.
A wonderful experience. The food & service were great. The music was a little loud. Could have been turned down a couple of decibels.
The food, service and atmosphere was superb. Took a group of eight business associates on Tuesday evening. The restaurant was full and lively however the wait staff continued to offer the great service that the Jason Dady restaurants provide. It's a wonderful experience each and every time I visit.
We had not been to the new location at SAMOA, but are glad we did. William was our waiter and was outstanding. Everything we ordered was delicious. We had the pulled mozzarella on toast and white beans. Two of us ordered the bolgnanese, one the gnocchi and the other the arribiata pasta (perfect blend of spicy) after sharing salads. No room for dessert, unfortunately, because they all looked great. We will definitely be back.
We ate Father's Day lunch outside, overlooking the river, and enjoyed our experience. The food was excellent, the service was prompt and helpful, and the ambiance was very nice. We had no trouble finding the restaurant, which is in a separate building behind the museum itself.
Wonderful Father’s Day lunch. Sat outside with view of river. Everything was great!
Amazing outdoor seating. Phenomenal food. Prime service.
The Deviled Eggs outstanding as was everything we tried
Minor incident with finding hair in our salad. We normally are extremely pleased when we dine there.
Celebrated a birthday with family here and had a lovely evening. Good service, good food ( especially the apps), fun location. We didn’t get to sit by the river but still enjoyed the evening.
Phenomenal flavor in every bite. Had 3 courses and each could stand alone on merit of excellence!
Pizza took 45 mins (25 mins as reflected on menu would have been fine). When finally arrived, 1/4th of the crust was charred black and inedible. We were extremely disappointed as we had always enjoyed this restaurant at its previous location.
The food was really good. My only complaint was when you walk up and there's no one at the hostess stand to greet you. Then we saw an employee talking with another employee slowly walk up. He didn't greet us just asked if we had a reservation-which we did and showed us to a table.
Other than the beginning part it was a lovely night with friends and good food.
This is our first visit to the restaurant since it’s relocation. It’s a nice enough building, however, I can’t imagine it’s easy for anyone with mobility issues. It’s slightly awkward to get to. The food was as good as we remembered, really nice meal. Although, waving away flies was more than a bit annoying, and we were inside, not on the patio. We will go back, but maybe not as often.
