Tre Trattoria @ The San Antonio Museum of Art
Everything was great.
Great service food always yummy
They ran out of pizza! Wow!
Hostess was a twit, rolling her eyes when we asked to be moved from the table with bad lighting in the corner. Server was great. Always great food.
The food and drinks tasted excellent. However, a friend and I ordered the strawberry/jalapeno martini and all of us at the table were quite surprised by how little was in the glass. The wine portion was great. Overall, loved it!
The food was not very good- it used to be great. So sad.
Food is always delicious, but unfortunately service wasn’t consistent with previous visits. Waitress did not offer us water, bread, infrequently checked on us... the restaurant wasn’t as busy as it usually is so not sure why service was lacking.
Beautiful space overlooking the San Antonio River. We sat outside, and enjoyed the corn bisque and a pasta dish. Wonderful meal!
We love it! I am on the Museum Board and try to eat there as much as possible. They did a fabulous job with preview party!
Celebrated my stepdad's life with my mom and step-sister on the anniversary of his passing. The balcony view was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the sound level and service was just right! Corn soup, Caesar salad, tomato/corn risotto, and mushroom gnocchi were delicious!! Highly recommend!
Everything esa great!
I had high expectations. Our start up Cesar salad, the lettuce was not fresh and had red marks as it has been in The fridge for some time. I ordered some wine and it never arrived. It was until I was On my second course, the waiter finally got something else for my wine. Terrible!!!. So disappointed I picked this restaurant for my birthday and neither the food, service nor wine was to make up for the occasion. The chicken was nothing special, just like a rotisserie chicken. The boar with pasta was ok. But I won’t come back again
We have been dining at Tre since 2011. Sunday, 9/29/19, was the first time I was disappointed. Our waiter was inattentive. He was slow in refilling water glasses, slow in bringing needed napkins & utensils, and rattled off the two specials too fast & too softly. When we asked him to slow down, he sighed & rattled off the specials too fast. I was very disappointed in the crispy trout. Instead of a full trout, it was a very small filet which was over salted. The lemon pound cake dessert was dry.
We love Tre & will return because everyone else working at Tre was pleasant & accommodating.
Larissa was very attentive and accommodating.
The market salad is simply the best
Fantastic! Good food and friendly service! I recommend it!
Great food and service...love the terrace overlooking the river!
Not easy to find when you are from Montreal but worth the search.
Food is great and nice decor.
Just an average experience. Service was slow and the menu online was not the same which is why I went there. Will not go back.
I prefer dining on their balcony (when the weather's a little cooler). The ambiance inside is fine. The food is a little hit-or-miss; the same salad had widely varying amounts of ingredients across multiple diners (some got only lettuce, some got the vegetables advertised as well). The pasta dishes were tasty but quite rich. There are some gluten-free, dairy-free options, but not many - and they do not often change this part of the menu. I'd like to see more light, healthy options; then I'd eat there a lot more often.
One person’s pizza was brought out and the rest of us didn’t get our meal for about 15 minutes.
Great time, amazing food, nice staff.
Terrific location, beautiful interior, food terrific
This place absolutely had the ability to reach 5 stars, but missed the mark in several areas tonight. We started off great, put in an appetizer order of fresh mozzarella and it came right out. Unfortunately we were missing flatware and plates and had to stare at it a while before digging in. It was a delicious appetizer, the bits of heirloom tomatoes and fruit were delicious with the soft mozzarella and garlic toast. Halfway through appetizers some completely obnoxious patron started shouting to his friends at the top of his lungs to the point my ears started ringing. Annoying but we assumed he would quiet down soon. Then we got our Caesar salads which came out almost as soon as the appetizer was taken away. Then the shouting douchebag got louder and his friends even told him to pipe down to no avail. His waiter just kept filling his glass and ignoring him. Every table is starting to turn heads and wondering when a manager will ask him to pipe down or leave. Nothing. Unlike the first 2 courses the main entree took forever to come out. In the meantime we can't enjoy ourselves or the experience bc asshat won't pipe down, is now blurting obscenities and "Fu?$ Christians" just to get a reaction. It never gets better, nobody from the restaurant ever tried confronting him, instead just letting him ruin the environment for everyone else. Hey manager, do your job, this isn't Pizza Hut in the ghetto so stop letting your customers act so obnoxiously. So..cool location, great Riverwalk ambience, food was tasty, yet dining experience was awful. Disappointing.
Air conditioning was not working well and kitchen smoke was not properly vented. I’ve had much better meals there.
I wish I could remeember the name of our server. He was really terrific!
We came after the museum and before a show at the Majestic. We were seated promptly and attended to immediately by the waitstaff. The food was delicious and perfect size portions. Cocktails were overpriced in my opinion $10-12 and not very strong. Ambiance was great. I would go again and will just order wine in the future.
The smoke in the room was overwhelming
Food was great but would not return and eat in the kitchen area. My clothes still smelled the next day from the fumes and my wife’s eyes were burning. We ask to open a door and were told it was not possible. My wife said the doors were open at her last visit.
Excellent in every way! Great place for a business luncheon!
Service was a little slow, but it seemed to be a busy night. Be sure not to eat in the room where they prepare the food--no hoods to get rid of the smoke and a little warm. The first dining room is cooler and smoke free. The Nutella desert was the highlight of the meal. My "Crispy Trout" was grossly over-salted but otherwise good. Three different pasta dishes were all good. Gazpacho soup was very good.
Delicious meal in a peaceful setting next to the river walk. Had the trout and gaspacho....delicious, service was very good. Definitely will return
This our 4th time visiting Tre and they continue to impress us. The food is excellent and service is just as good.
A lovely lunch at a great museum
Brandon did a great job. Food was well prepared and served. Wine was very good.
I would highly recommend a lunch or dinner.
OUTSTANDING as always! Excellent customer service! The food is exceptional!
We have tried to like Tre at it’s new location, but we’re done. The A/C was struggling so it was not quite comfortable, made worse by the smoke that filled the room from an inadequately vented kitchen. The pizza came out before the salad. (The one highlight of the evening was that the pizza was fabulous.) The white wine wasn’t quite chilled enough - I ended up putting ice in it. Top it off with a restroom that was out of order - as evidenced by the floaters in the toilet (sorry). At least the bathroom outside the restaurant had great A/C. That was the only time I was comfortable all night. We’ve had similar experiences over the past few months, although not everything at once, and we love the pizza so we came back. I can’t see us trying it again unless we hear that things have turned around.
A must stop for an intimate dining experience. A top shelf place to show the new culture of the city. A truly wonderful casual spot of Heaven
I visited for the first time for Restaurant Weeks. Menu was wonderful, the wine pairing was quite nice. Outdoor seating overlooks the riverwalk which provides a lovely view.
A convenient lunch location when planned in conjunction with a visit to SAMA. And the suggested wine pairing was quite good. But honestly, I preferred the food and ambience at the former Broadway location. There the restaurant (to me) was a destination on its own, and did not need proximity to the Witte for draw. To be fair, this comment is the result of only one visit and may be a (correctable) hasty generalization. But I have little interest in trying again to disprove the first impression.
We went for the restaurant week special. Our food was so delicious and the wine was very well paired. We will definitely be going back!
