Overall I had a good experience, but there were a few things that could have made it even better. Our service was a little disappointing. It felt like our waitress was not very happy to be there or interested in leaving a good impression. We only heard a few words from her the whole time, and she dropped our silverware on the floor without bringing a replacement. The woman who brought our food was kind enough to bring more once we requested! Also, my partner ordered an item and was charged $3 more on the bill - I’m glad that we noticed in time that we were waiting to pay. Overall, the food was great and the ambience is very nice, I’m just hoping that we caught our server on a bad day. (:
Celebrated my husband’s birthday over brunch at Tre Rivali. Staff was so friendly. Great service, ambience, food and drink. Highly recommend!
The brunch was phenomenal, service - the best we’ve ever had and restaurant warm, inviting and spotless. Thank you @Journeyman Hotel and Tre Rivali
We went Saturday and Sunday for Brunch. They have a varied menu for brunch. We enjoyed the quiche, smoked salmon and the pancakes. We ate outside both days. They have the gas heaters which helped Sunday morning. Great server Desiree was attentive and helpful. Did not rush us but kept tabs on our progress. COVID protocols were followed providing peace of mind in our pandemic plagued state.
Food was outstanding and the service was excellent.
Great food, ambiance and service! Highly recommend
My wifes steak was fine , I had the swordfish which was good but the tomato jam was too much I think they used it to cover a number of burnt potatoes
This was our first time to Milwaukee and we selected Tre Rivali based on reviews and the reservation time available. It was fabulous! The food was delicious and our server was top notch! I rarely take the time to write reviews but had to after such an enjoyable evening. The cocktails were also spectacular!
Diverse, terrific menu with a wide variety of offerings. Several small plate offerings, along with excellent pasta and meat main courses. Food was consistently excellent, as was the very professional, unobtrusive server who quietly impressed us. They provided a wonderful baked toffee cake with some ice cream as a (gratis) treat for my wife, who's birthday we were celebrating.
We also liked that the exec chef is a woman, which is neither here nor there when discussing the quality of the food, but is nice to know...!
Great food, fun environment, great service! Get very safe with their covid precautions
Everyone there was super friendly! Food was amazing as always! Felt like there was enough space between tables!
We had a wonderful dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Our server was friendly and professional. The food was VERY good! We had the cheese/charcuterie plate to start and it was very impressive! We took home what we couldn't eat. I had the muscles for my entree and my husband had the octopus, both were excellent! I noted when I made the reservation that it was our anniversary, but it wasn't acknowledged. Every year we dine at
a different downtown restaurant to celebrate and there is usually a "surprise" for us - like a champagne toast or dessert. Not a major issue, just a bit disappointed it was overlooked. They practiced social distancing, wearing masks and low capacity seating. Overall, an excellent dining experience!
Never disappointing here! We enjoyed one of the last warm nights of autumn outside Tre Rivali. Service and food were impeccable, complete with sites to watch as people were out and about on the streets. The Creamy Sesame Hummus with Artichoke-olive tapenade was amazing, plus the appetizer "meat balls" polpette -- which was delicious in tomato marinara and ricotta. The Middle Eastern chicken is my husband's favorite - we aren't sure of the spice they use, but it's incredible. He gets it every time and it never disappoints. My friend "KP" had the Pappardelle - wow! And I had the swordfish, which was also delicious - meaty but no fishy taste (although the corn flan was less than exceptional). We left stuffed and happy!
Great food.
One of my go to spots. Great place. Good and people awesome
Wonderful, our favorite place!
I received the wrong food order and the waitress offered to remake my food but did not offer to take anything off my bill. I would have much rather had a reduced price on my bill then to remake my food.
Very nice, socially distant
somewhat over rated. menu was limited and drinks seemed pricey for value.
On what would normally be a very busy night, the restaurant was not busy. We chose to sit outside by the heater, and then went on to wait 15 to 18 minutes before our server approached our table and greeted us. We ordered our drinks and all menu items as we planned to share right away. It then took an additional 15 minutes for us to receive our drinks. We ordered the small plate meatballs, the mussels, the carbonara, the mushroom pizza, the spicy broccoli and the roasted brussels sprouts. The meatballs, carbonara, mushroom pizza, spicy broccoli and roasted brussels sprouts all came out around the same time and in a timely fashion and were all appealing to the eye. However, your Palette was left with much to desire as they were flavorless to say the least. Everything was in desperate need of a touch of salt and mediocre at best. Our server did not stop by until 20 minutes into our food to check on us letting us know the mussels would be out shortly. We then waited a further 10 minutes for these after they had been ordered 40 minutes prior. The arrived and were so badly over cooked and rubbery that all three of us had to spit our first mussel out. The sauce again had no flavor. After waiting 10 more minutes for our server to come back to tell her about our mishap, she still had not shown so we grabbed another server to tell her and ask her to take them. We also asked to receive our check. Our server finally came back out after another 15 minutes to drop the check. No apologies and no manager came to speak to us, she simply stated she was doing us a favor by taking them off the check. We waited another 10 minutes prior to our server coming to get the check with our card and an additional 8 minutes for her to bring our card back. Overall it was a disappointing first experience and we have no reason to return.
Food is good not great, ambiance is probably the best part giving a modern downtown kitchen feel. Service was extremely poor to the point we did not continue our dinner and left. Ordering appetizers and a round of drinks took an hour and 30 minutes which we then got our check and left for another restaurant. Drinks are good but quite expensive ($16 for a old fashioned and $18 for a Tito’s cosmo). If service was good I would give it 4 stars although nothing more.
one of my favorite places to eat in milwaukee! mussels and mushroom pizza are to die for. I miss the celery and escarole salad though ! 😭
The week before my wife's birthday, I made a reservation at what used to be one of her favorite restaurants. I reserved early and confirmed. When we arrived, we were seated at a small side table next to the kitchen. It was seriously the worst table in the place. People who walked in after us were led to much better tables.
Miserable choice of table aside, the food arrived in what was described by my wife as a "kind of brown mess where everything looked the same" (she had the swordfish). We did our best to have a good evening. But I really couldn't shake how far that experience was with how we remembered this place pre-pandemic.
We used to be regulars that were shown thoughtful seating and were served some really good food. Now, Tre Rivali seems to be losing that charm, that service, and the quality that we used to like. Now I would really hesitate recommend Tre Rivali to anyone. And I would definitely not spend a special occasion there again.
We had a delightful brunch with family. We had a 16mo old with us, and it was nice to have a crayons and something for him to color on.
Great place
Great food and service.
This is our favorite restaurant in Milwaukee! The charcuterie board is amazing and the small plates are delicious! We are never disappointed!!
Service was very good as we celebrated my wife’s birthday. All the food we ordered were excellent except for the grilled octopus that was charred and had a bitter aftertaste. We’ve had a lot of octopus before but this one just had too much bitterness to it. The oven baked shrimp and the crispy pork belly over pasta were awesome. We would recommend dining there. Very nice restaurant and convenient since it’s downstairs of Kimpton where we were staying.
Patio dinning. Great service. Ordered spicy broccoli, hummus , wood grilled mushroom and goat cheese pizza with a a glass of red. Also had the chocolate mouse. All delicious. My friend had the shrimp and the cheesecake dessert with pistachio ice cream. Delicious
Brunch was good, but salmon bagel entree took a step backwards. Please bring back the prior deconstructed version.
Eggs Benedict was good but English muffin was not toasted and was doughy
Megan’s service was great and outside dining was as well
Highly recommend the meat & cheese board and the mussels...delicious!
We had a very nice dinner. My only complaint is the size of the drinks. We paid fourteen dollars per drink and the glass was barley full.
We were in town dropping our daughter off at MIAD for her first year of college. We wanted a nice dinner out. Loved Tre Rivali!!! Food was wonderful- definitely recommend the 1/2 Cheese and 1/2 Meat Charcuterie Board. And our waitress, Larissa, made our experience. She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and help make our family’s time together special. Thank you!!
Service was amazing. Food was fantastic, especially the Octopus and the Pastas (Carbonara & Buccatini). But the Beet Salad stoke the show for me, it was honestly one of the best salads I’ve EVER had. The cocktails were delicious, they even subbed out a sliver tequila for me because I don’t love Mezcal. We will return, it was great and eating outdoors in a beautiful summer night made it even better.
The food and drinks are simply superb. The ambiance of sidewalk dining is so fun and elegant, as well!
Great portions, very tasty, good service and punctual seating
I had a really wonderful evening with my mom at Tre Rivali. The cheeseboard is phenomenal. Our server Marco was very polite and service was great. Definitely going to come back again soon!
The restaurant is really good and the price is fair for the quality
This restaurant never disappoints - it's one of our favorites.
Food was delicious! Loved eating on the patio.
Great food. Great service!
