Very good service, food was exquisite!
Waiter was awesome, definitely will be returning soon!!
My girlfriend and I went for the thanksgiving buffet, and the food was good. The atmosphere was amazing and with me not being a drinker I still managed to get a nice mocktail that the bartender just whipped up. The waitstaff was pleasant and they also suggested items to try for the buffet. Overall great experience, I’d love to go back for just a simple dinner with their traditional menu
My family had Thanksgiving buffet at Tre Rivali and have been looking forward to this for weeks. Wow- we were disappointed in all aspects. The lights were up high making the ambience seem like a cafeteria. Service was sub par and the food was served cold. For the price and overall negative experience, I would never return nor recommend anyone else to spend a holiday at this restaurant.
I was surprised. We had plenty of room. The noise level was low. Service exceptional. And the Thanksgiving buffet was like grandmas.
Overall everything was wonderful...food was outstanding (we did Thankdgiving dinner). Seating was a little bit of a damper for us. We were sat at a table where you are connected to other tables so you are basically sitting with strangers and holding a conversation is uncomfortable and kind of hard because you get no privacy. Also my view was looking at the bathroom door entrance and the servers ringing stuff in and getting stuff for their tables. If we came again we would definitely want to be sat elsewhere.
The Thanksgiving buffet was very special, unlike most offerings. My daughter and I enjoyed the variety of meats and intriguing side dishes. And the range of desserts was incredible.
The food was amazing. Just the right amount on each plate. I wasn't stuffed, but I was completely satisfied.
Amazing food and atmosphere! Chris at the bar was very engaging. Love this place!
Food is always very special. Made with love , creativity, passion and knowledge of taste.
Very cozy and clean place.
This was my second timing dining here and it lived up the reason I came back. Great menu selection and the food is all really fresh, well-prepared, and served well. Great selection for all and great flavors. Nice wines by the glass selection. Nice to have shareable plates and large plates. Order the warm olives to share when you sit down. you will be impressed.
An inventive menu that does not disappoint. Lovely experience.
The pasta that I ordered was a very small portion and didn't come with any salade or breadsticks. I will not be going back.
Loved the rooftop bar as well as our dinner.
We came to Tre Rivali for brunch, and it was excellent. The food was delicious - at our table we had the benedict, the Hopple Popple and the stuffed French toast, and all of it was well prepared and flavorful. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable and modern. The only downside to this restaurant is that finding parking is really difficult - come early enough for your reservation to get a good parking spot or you could get stuck paying a LOT to park or parking far away.
We go to Tre Rivali all the time. It's our favorite MKE restaurant. I have Celiac and they take it very seriously. I've never gotten sick, which for me is really something. I can't say that about any other MKE restaurant.
Desiree is an amazing server. Knows the menue very well and checked on us frequently. Would highly recommend Desiree as a server
Had dinner before a play Saturday night. The wait staff asked us our plans for the evening ahead of time. We could tell they were timing the service around our plans. We chose to do 4 small plates to share plus dessert. The timing and order of the plates as they came out was perfect. The scallops and the apple ricotta crostini were my favorites. The warm toffee cake with ice cream was incredible. The meal and the service was outstanding. One of the best meals we had this year. Definitely recommend this restaurant. I don’t usually leave reviews but had to this time.
Always a wonderful experience! Excellent food and service!
Overall setting and ambiance was nice, I dined in the bar area. Service was attentive. My tomato bread appetizer was a little disappointing. Tomatoes and Seranno were both freezing cold & stacked on top of a warm piece of toasted sourdough. Served at room temperature it might have had more flavor. the Mediterranean chicken was tasty, though the vegetables were somewhat overwhelmed by the volume of chicken, and an excessive amount of tomato sauce garnishing the plate. With a little extra attention to details this place could be much better
The food and ambience was amazing and so fun to be able to share all the plates. The wine and drinks were also fabulous. Marcel helped us and gave us good recommendations and he was very accommodating.
Food was very good but bar and food service was slow. We mentioned to our server that we had tickets to the symphony and she rushed our food so we could get out on time. Food and drinks were delicious.
Wonderful service. Interesting dishes.
The Third Ward is filled with new stores, restaurants and bars. I didn't recognize most of them, and sadly felt old and distant from Milwaukee. I was involved in the very genesis of the gentrification of the Third Ward, when there were just a couple of dining places and a few gay bars. It grew exponentially, but never expected these many changes. I guess I should have held on to my buildings.......
Tre Rivoli, in the newish Kimpton hotel, is representative of these changes in my favorite Milwaukee neighborhood. Hip, but without pretense, the room is airy and the expansive windows allow you to "catch" the scene on the sidewalk. Service was casual, but Midwest nice and friendly. We miss that warmth. The brunch menu had some great choices, and my fried chicken with gravy was scrumptious. I cleaned my plate. Monkey Bread, a Tre Rivoli favorite, was icky sweet, but delicious. I "knocked off" all of them. Prices were very reasonable for such a cool and tasty brunch. Tre Rivoli was great fun.
Fabulous place to meet friends or a quiet date night.
Great food though a bit too long of a wait. We sat down at 830, ordered at 835 and were not served until 918. There were only two tables busy at that time so unsure what happened here. Good food overall and I recommend this restaurant.
Went for lunch. Disappointed there was no pasta option. Menu was not very extensive. There were three in our party and we all got salads. They were tasty. Server was very attentive.
The food was excellent and the service was very good.
The website (& other published reviews) led us to believe you could dine under the stars on the top floor so it was disappointing to learn that the restaurant is on the first floor while the bar is on the top level. The entrance to the restaurant, from the lobby is also confusing and looks more like a cafe/sandwich shop...but once we were guided to our table an evening of great service, beautiful presentation and delicious food options began. Although the space could provide a little more in the way of relaxing comfort, the dining experience was superior to many.
Our waitress was certainly not impressive
Our food was fabulous!
Food was good! But it was over priced for the amount you get. My order was not correct. Drinks were watered down. Ribeye was good when you could find some meat.
Great service.Unique tapas.Outstanding deserts.Fine wine.
Ravioli so salty that I could not finish. Pork chop not tender. No race to go back.
Had a reservation for 7, they sat my wife and I at 630 because we were early. Food was great. Got dessert and the manager or owner came and asked how it was, commented on the dessert that he likes it better with butter pecan ice cream. And brought us a dish of the ice cream. Definitely will be back and recommending it to friends. Also I am alcohol free, they have a great NA mocktail option.
We joined them 2 years in a row for our anniversary and both times left talking about how good the food, presentation, service and atmosphere. Three different people came by to congratulate us on our 46 year wedding anniversary. That says a lot!
Overall just as great as ever. Ravioli is fabulous, pizza good but not great. Grilled octopus awesome
Tre Rivali offers both small plates and standard size entrees. The food is imaginatively and well prepared.
Stopped at the Outsider for a drink before dinner and didn’t get waited on in 15 minutes so we left. It was not busy. Dinner at Tre Rivali was good but not great
Good location, good service and good food. We like to have brunch here before the theater. The stuffed French toast was great.
BF and I went there for date night and had a special evening. Always respectfully treated. Our server Mary was phenomenal. Outstanding was the octopus, the mussels and the affogato. Not a single negative. We will be back next date night. Thank you Tre rivali! Grazie mille.
