Went for an anniversary dinner. They ran out of the one thing my wife wanted for dinner. Settled for the mushroom pizza that was pretty bland and just ok. Service was ok.
Food was very expensive and extremely bland. Very disappointing.
Holiday Brunch was lovely.
Lovely ambience and service as always, the chocolate toffee reminded us of our childhood and pineapple mint panna cotta had some amazing flavors!
Great service! Octopus was amazing, as was the Broccolini. Only lackluster dish was the pasta.
Enjoyed returning after nearly 2 year hiatus. 5 of us each had a different entrée and appetizer/salad and all were terrific! The chefs do an incredible job of preparing simple, yet elegant offerings usually with a little twist of added flavor or texture!
My pizza had a strange burnt taste. It was not burnt. The service was not good. She barely came around. We asked for separate checks and didn't get them.
Great recommendations from our server. Attentive staff. Food was excellent!
Awesome experience for our anniversary. Good food, good environment.
The food and service were both superior!
Great food and cocktails!
A favorite restaurant of ours! Service and food are outstanding!!!
In a post Covid world, Tre Rivali was still as good as I remembered. They took all precautions(spaced out tables and guests, staff wore masks, etc). They do have a shortened menu so do be sure to look it over before you go to see if anything you’d normally order will not be there. Food was stellar, we had the sausage pizza, the dumplings and the ricotta toast appetizer.
The service was as good as you could hope for, very attentive and friendly. Tre Rivali will always be a favorite in the city.
The food never disappoints and the service is fantastic!!
Three of us had dinner on a Saturday night. We were seated promptly and our server was pleasant. Cocktails were very good. The menu seemed pretty limited, and my husband was disappointed that carbonara was not available as the chef wouldn’t prepare off menu items. The cheese and charcuterie plate was pretty but unimpressive, and the pickled carrots were essentially inedible. At $26, it seemed a bit overpriced. The strip steak entree was a fabulous dish—well prepared and beautifully plated, cooked perfectly and simply delicious. Pizza was average. Dumplings were pretty dry, though the sauce and vegetables they were made with were OK. Gelato was delicious, sorbet was fine but not stellar. We’ve eaten here several times and loved it, but this seemed like an “off” night.
The food was decent. The flavors and quality have not fully recovered after the COVID shutdown, but is certainly improved compared to immediately after reopening. Really enjoyed this restaurant in the past and hope they continue to improve and recover.
Food was very salty, service was fine, but price for food quality was not right.
The menu was fairly limited with only a few gluten-sensitive options. Loved the beet salad! Meatball app was tasty.
First time there, the atmosphere was great, the food was fantastic, and they were able to get us in and out in time for our show without making it feel rushed. Would absolutely go again
We had a great time
The food was incredible and our server was lovely. She was very accommodating with our tables dietary restrictions. The complimentary bubbles and dessert at the end of the night was such a special treat.
Food was over salted. Ricotta dumplings were like lead, sauce tasty but again over salted. Beat salad was fabulous. Grilled octopus should have been excellent but…over salted.
Service was excellent. Mixed drinks and wine choices good. I used to love the food here and can once again if the chef cuts back on …salt. Please bring back the ravioli!
Limited menu was surprising. Charcuterie portions surprisingly small and pizza burned on bottom. Nonetheless, taste was good.
We have dined at Tre Rivali many times but this was our first visit since Covid started, and we were very disappointed in the reduction of offered items on the menu. Currently there are only 3 entrees offered (one steak, chicken and fish) along with 3 different pastas. They have really scaled back on apps, salads and deserts. For the prices they charge, we expected more offerings. Unless they expand their menu back to what they used to offer we will not be back. Since they have an open kitchen and you can watch the chefs, we could only see 3 for a Saturday night service, vs many more pre-Covid.
Great place for Italian in Milwaukee. Their appetizers and cocktails are especially top-notch!
Celebrate my son’s birthday. Gabe was nice and very accommodating. Loved the food appetizer was excellent
The food was awful. An attempt at “artsy” was made, but they failed miserably. Took 3 attempts to get a bottle of wine that they actually had in stock. Was offered two dessert options, then told they were out of one of them. Service was also bad but I could give that a pass since they were understaffed.
Great place for friends, family, or a business luncheon. We enjoyed our time!
We are regulars of Tre Rivali, and never disappointed, this time it was good to see that the dinner menu changed and new plates
Are delicious (we try the Cacio e Pepe pasta and the fire wood mushroom pizza).
There for anniversary. Very small menu selection and OUT of everything. We ordered and they would come back out later and say “we don’t have it.” Ended up having to eat pizza.
2 people in the restaurant and still waited with empty glasses. Service sucked.
Absolutely worth trying! The food and service was amazing! Glad we found this little gem in Milwaukee. :)
We ate here on Sunday night after a long weekend exhibiting in an outdoor art fair. The lamb meatball appetizers were very flavorful, a wonderful start.
Our server, Caitlin answered all of our ingredient questions and recommended the prime sirloin. Best steak we’ve ever had!
Service was perfectly paced and very friendly. We will return the next time we visit Milwaukee.
Be sure to ask for Caitlin as your server.
They were very vague on the indoor vs outdoor seating when multiple people asked. It was a gorgeous September day and we would have liked to sit outside and their were open tables? But we’re told no
I had the two eggs any style that included bacon (my choice), potatoes and toast. A very generous portion. I asked for soft scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, wheat toast. Order came perfectly prepared. My friend had the avocado toast that she devoured and was very happy with her choice. The place was quiet (no blaring music) and the service was super. Will definitely be back!
All previous reviews from 3-6mnths ago made this place seem like it was one of the top spots in Milwaukee. Upon arriving to our reservation, we noticed the place was nearly empty but we still had to wait so they "could check to see if the table was ready". As we sat down we asked ourselves why it took so long to get a half booth and chair table while nobody was there and that we didn't get a "fancy" table with a decent view of the main street, as the front of the building is mainly glass.. mind you we made a reservation from out of state and expected based off reviews, to believe this place was an elegant place. On top of the seating issue on a date night/vacation to the city, the service was terribly slow (once again we one of the few guests there), we were never asked if we wanted another drink, the serving size of the dishes were explained to us to be proportionally small but were not as we ordered three different items and couldn't end up finishing. Nothing was as described and food taste was about a 6 out of 10. Don't recommend.
Food was exceptional. Steak was perfectly cooked, and the ricotta dumplings were well balanced. A dish to come back for
Shortages of experienced staff are impacting everyone. Be aware of - while still during dining hours- moving and scraping chairs loudly - while customers are still dining at the next table.
Went for a Bachelorette party with a group and it was so fun! The food was amazing, everyone found something they loved. The drinks were delicious and the service was very attentive. We also go to go upstairs to the rooftop Outsider bar, 100% recommend it! Great energy and ambiance!!
Good was good. I would go back. We had 2-steelhead, 2-octopus ink pasta with prawns.
Squid ink pasta was tasteless bowl of soup. Octopus appetizer was more like a tough chewy steak that was overcooked. Margarita pizza crust was burnt black. We had two tables of six diners and no-one liked their meal. Staff could not break check into individual bills. Will not return.
Unique menu, flavorful and surprising. Excellent service as well
