I was really excited to take my friend here for her birthday, and when we first walked in the atmosphere was great! However, when my friend had come back from the bathroom she asked the waiter to explain something to her, and instead of explaining it in a polite manner, he said "I already explained it." My friend tried to say no, and before she could explain.. the waiter responded saying, "I know I did, but whatever" and began to explain. In regards to ordering food, we ordered from the happy hour menu and we glanced on the actual menu to see what was in the burger itself. On the menu, it did not say that either was different from the other. When we got the bill we got charged double the happy hour price and the waiters response was, you read it from the regular menu meanwhile both menus were next to each other so instead of calmly asking about which menu we were ordering from or explaining the difference, he picked the one that would cost us more and said we read it from that menu. Then throughout the entire dinner he was rolling his eyes. The manager fixed our issue but when the complaint was brought up, he told my friend to think about it why would we give them so much for happy hour? Which i'm sorry, if that's the case explain it in the beginning to someone who's never been there. I'm very grateful he fixed our issue but it was issues that should have never happened to begin with.
I have been here twice and the drinks and food are delicious. Its a little place so it is not good for a big group, but good for a maximum of 4 people, in my opinion. It is a good place to talk and what is even better is to find parking before 7pm in front of the restaurant.

This was my second trip to Tre, and it was as great at the first. The baby kale salad is to die for: tender baby kale with crunchy walnuts & crispy green apple slices. The pasta is always hot & flavorful. Service can be on the slower side with only two waiters for 12 or so tables, but on the plus side, they definitely don't rush you. Usually wise to make a reservation, but if you walk in & have a wait, the bar is a relatively spacious place to wait.

My girlfriend and I love Tre. The food, wine, service is always great. We come at least once or twice a both for dinner or drinks and always have a great experience.
Prices on app were lower than actual menu prices. But food was great and it’s a lovely little LES restaurant.
Good for a date
Considering it was a Monday, it was very quiet and great for a date. The lighting reminds you of a starry night and can be considered very romantic. Service was wonderful and the food was spectacular! Would absolutely recommend.
Great food great service great ambiance
Service was really great, as well as the wine service. The pasta was alright—I ordered the fettuccine w/ porcino and it wasn’t the best I’ve had, but still tasty. The burratta starter was delicious though, definitely recommend. I’d come here again for the service and the ambiance, but would probably stick to a few small plates.
The food was great but the service was terrible. Even though the restaurant was half empty it took forever for our waiter to come over and once we ate they did not clear the plates until I asked them to. I would go here again but with the expectation that the service is slow and inattentive.
We loved our prefixed brunch it was very good waiters were on it ! Very efficient,quickly refilled our mimosas and water. Very attentive great window seat since outside seating was unavailable
This was our 3rd visit to TRE and as always we enjoyed our meal!! Service was good as always!!
We were amazed to find out that smoking is allowed at the bar which is in the same area as the sitting area there is no division in between!
Bottomless brunch was great. They continuously refilled our drinks. Staff was super friendly as well.

Met some old friends and shared lots of small plates and pasta. The fried artichokes are transcendent. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, and because the prices are so incredibly reasonable and the value so good especially for an east village restaurant, people were relaxed. Restaurant is cozy and low-key, best to go early evening because they are packed with a wait by eight.
Enjoyed my sons birthday at the restaurant. Food was amazing!!! all appetizers tasty and mail meal was excellent.
A hidden gem with great food and just as great service! Definitely worth a visit!

Restaurant looks cute and casual. The menu listing had a good selection for decent prices.
However, the execution wasn't great. The bar is extremely tight, even for NYC standards. Not a great place to even have a drink waiting for someone. Can't imagine eating anything there.
We ate out back, which is a cute area. The artichokes appetizer and salad was good. The two pastas though were really just barely ok. A bit concerned about trying this place again, as there are so many great casual Italian restaurants in the city.
Love this place! My boyfriend and I were fortunate enough to sit outside in the cute area they have. The burrata was excellent and we ordered the carbonara and the truffle oil/fungi pasta. Both were excellent and we got each with gluten free pasta since my boyfriend is highly allergic. Definitely recommend!!!
I've come to this restaurant on every visit to NYC. I loved the charm of it, the food, wine list and the family like feel of the staff. This trip was so disappointing. The bartender was texting the whole time, barely checked on us, did not ask if we even wanted more wine and we kept pouring our own water. At one point, the bartender and the wait staff was at one end of the bar crowded together and one of them took a hit of what appeared as an e cigarette but smelled like something else. It was so disappointing and the owners of the business should know about this as this contributes to their loss in profits. Hire people that enjoy what they do and actually will up sell your drink menu as in the restaurant business that's where you make most of your return. My friend and I decided that this will be our last time going there and we will still remember it from the earlier days and how great it used to be. Super disappointing that this is what it's become.
Has a tiny backyard patio that is quaint. Gluten free pasta option and healthy portions. I got the mussels and was impressed with the number of mussels on my plate. Would return to this restaurant.
Everything was excellent. Watermelon salad,calamari grilled, whole bronxino Neapolitan donut. The young owner is always interested in diners' thoughts. The fried artichokes were perfect. We would go again if on the lower East side.
Food was only so so. Patio was cute but wouldn't come back.

Really fun atmosphere and great for a date. Ran into a lot of great people I knew. Had a great time and definitely will be going back!

I had classic lasagne and my wife had white fish. Both dishes very solid. Good value for meals and bottle of wine. Ate early (5:30) and place was empty so no real ambiance. Waiter said would heat up later.

My husband and I went for a date. It was our first time. The server explained that we would not be able to order anything fried from the menu because the oil was being changed in the kitchen. This would not have been a problem except that half of the menu involved something fried. I ordered the skirt steak and could not get the truffle fries that were supposed to go with it so I asked for mashed potatoes and was told I couldn't have that either. Skirt steak was pretty good. My husband enjoyed his homemade pappardelle dish. The lava cake was good but we didn't really like the sorbet that went with it. Servers are very nice but it takes a bit long for them to check on you.
I'm sorry experience was so bad left without eating.From the ads photos to menu selection to the con that reservations were all booked up all untrue.Arrived expected a crowded lively place instead not one soul very poor decor staff terribly impolite and the menu was very limited and Nithing like online.I don't know how venues are vetted but that Shoukd be reviewed.Very disappointed w guests on Valentines Dat really shouldn't call it Italian cuisine!
Stayed at a hotel nearby. Had dinner there and enjoyed the food and the ambiance. Got a carry-out of the burata the next night to take to some friends place for wine and appetizers before we went out for dinner. Everyone loved the burata and wanted to know where we got it. Grabbed a quick bite before we left for the airport! So in 48 hours we ate there 3X!!! Yeah, I guess we really liked it!
