Octopus appetizer was delish.
Good overall, but not outstanding. Server forgot to bring our side dish (a vegetable) to us. Scallops were very good; duck had good flavor but one of the two pieces was extremely tough.
best lunch in Chicago!
We were there for brunch on New Year's. We had a reservation but had to wait 15+ minutes for a table. The service overall was disappointing - they didn't bring what was requested, follow up in a timely manner, or refill coffee. The entree food was at best underwhelming, the buffet was extremely thin - no omelet station, very limited selection, and the ambiance is sort of like a very nice diner. Definitely would not recommend, especially for the price.
We had the four-course New Year's Eve prix fixe menu but chose our own wines. Food was beautifully presented, and the halibut was excellent. The short ribs were tasty but served too cold for my taste.
We had a great time at Travelle. We had NYE dinner there with our two kids, and everything was amazing. They took great care of the kids as well.
Steaks and other main courses were all cold.
The food was mediocre; the service was atrocious; and the bill was too high for what was served. Skip it.
Great food but overcrowded for the event at this price. The hosts were overwhelmed by the number of people checking in, they forgot about us and mixed our names with another party. The waiting staff was friendly and attentive.
We had a lovely Christmas lunch here - very delicious food and lots of it!
Outstanding! Upon making reservations, I thought the restaurant a little pricey, but it was well worth it.
The Christmas Day brunch was beyond delectable! We enjoyed our 2 hours and 15 minutes of festive faire rich with time for conversation.
Portions were too small for mains but Great service!
Excellent experience! Manager Ross Umali was very accommodating. We will definitely be back. A+++
The food and the atmosphere were great Celebrated my husband's 65th birthday.
Some of the dishes were just so so. Entrees took too long to come out
Excellent service and very comfortable setting for a business meal
My husband and I got married and this was our celebration dinner together, we ordered the Thomawawk steak and our waiter was absolutely fantastic.
The ambiance was very romantic and felt private with our seating next to a big window with a view.
The food was some of the best I have had, steak was cooked perfectly at medium. Melt in your mouth and the cheese appetizer was perfection.
We will be back again soon!
They also gave us a delicious desert in celebration and two full glasses of Champaign. They really went out of their way to make us feel like a king and queen!
It was very nice, but very pricey. Didn’t offer the eggs Benedict that everyone was raving about online. We managed and all had the lobster Benedict! The Hollandaise was perfect, smooth and creamy, not gloppy. (And just the perfect amount!) Atmosphere was very low key in dining area, but offering holiday tea in another room and that was hopping. The view was not as good as I had hoped from the dining area but ok. Service was great!
Nice restaurant within a nice hotel setting. Very courteous service.
Fabulous food! We eat out a lot but this was outstanding in flavor and service.
My wife and I had an amazing experience. The decor, the food and the service were outstanding. Cannot wait to go back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our lovely lunch at Travelle! The festive holiday decor was gorgeous. The fireplace with hot apple cider was so relaxing. Our servers were so attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and so very substantial. The choices were plentiful and every dish looked wonderful! I believe that this hidden gem is a perfect location for a truly memorable meal!
We will definitely come back to Travelle.... a true Treasure!
Kellen was our waiter and we basically followed his suggestions. So glad we did! Started with the fig/ burrata appetizer. It was a taste explosion. We then shared the Tomahawk and lobster combo. It had so much flavor and was cooked perfectly. Good choices of wine by the glass and bottle. We didn’t feel at all rushed which in my opinion is a big deal. Would definitely go back.
Food, service, and ambiance are amazing. They really spent time to please the customers and address their needs
Travelle is my go to place to dine with friends. The atmosphere is always warm and quiet to hold conversations without shouting.
Enjoyable evening. Pork belly and spouts was excellent. Kudos to Kellen our server who was fantastic—knowledgeable and a great host.
We had a late dinner after arriving in Chicago for our anniversary. The food was delicious and creative and the service was excellent! They even toasted our anniversary with dessert and champagne!
Our server was nice, but two of the dished we had were below expectations, and they forgot our shared side when they brought the entrees out, and we had to remind them. The only thing that saved the experience was how accommodating they were with trying different wines and the Brussel Sprouts and Pork Belly app was amazing!!!
Service was great, location was great and the food was fabulously tasty. First, the room ambiance was warm, inviting and had a mellow groove. The layout was spacious and the music was smooth, outs you in a nice mood. Our waiter, Cesar, was knowledgeable, very accommodating, and attentive. They have a wonderful drink menu and a great selection of food courses!
My daughter had the mussels, lamb chops and chocolate cake for dinner. The lamb was perfectly done, tender and melted in your mouth!
My wife had the oysters for appetizer, I had the squash soup. Both were very tasty. We shared the whole fish, a red snapper, that was out of this world good, wow! We had asparagus and mini stuffed potatoes as sides and they were great! My wife topped it with a pumpkin cake with raspberry sorbet for dessert!
Overall, you spend a bit of money but it is well worth it! Will probably come back the next time we're in Chicago, definitely 5+ stars!
It is a very great thanksgiving buffett a must go too.
I went for breakfast and ordered signature Travelle Benedict. Described on menu as lobster and spinach. Came with lots of tomatoes. I hate tomatoes. Also eggs were hard. Sent back. Came back this time with soft boiled eggs. As well as good size she’ll still on the lobster. Servers were amazing and apologetic but they can’t make up for what’s going down in the kitchen.
This is becoming one of my go-tos for business luncheons if only they step up their serving game. Food is excellent and you can hear yourself talk without having to shout across the table. My biggest complaint though is the service. It's like the servers disappear for 30 minutes on end. We sat for 30 minutes before our order was taken, and it was as if a different server had been reassigned our table from the original guy we had who finally realized we had not been helped. Then the other issue is that they are not prompt when trying to pay for the bill. This is the second time everyone in my group has had to leave to get on to the next meeting, while I am sitting there waiting for a server to take my card for the bill. For such a pricey place you'd think the daytime service could be a little more prompt for people in business.
The service here is impeccable! Everyone made us feel so important, special, and really treated us with care. The food was also delicious! I had the barley risotto and my coworkers had the Mac burger and Cobb salad. Would definitely come back again!
Overall, good experience. I was there for a client breakfast. Sadly, my server dumped 1/2 of my breakfast potatoes on the tray and never returned with replacements. I didn’t ask about it due to my guest.
Travelle is one of Chicago's finest, for any meal. It is a hidden gem, never disappoints, and is not to be missed.
Great brunch experience
The food and the staff are top notch in every way.
Wonderful start to a Bear game day !
My friend & myself both ordered the lunch special which was a lovely variety of courses. The meal was also prepared & served quickly, which we appreciated being as it was a lunch during work hours. Will definitely be dining here again!
We stayed at the Langham Hotel for 4 nights and the hotel is fantastic. We also liked the bar/lounge at Travelle, drinks and service great. BUT the actual restaurant was a major let down with the food. My beet stack app had no favor with subpar beets. If you showcase a vegetable...it should be tasty with proper texture. Then the wedge salad just as bad with the hard end of lettuce still on...was gross. My husbands expensive steak was tough with grizzle.....not quality. The staff was nice but it can’t make up for terrible expensive food!
