We arrived early for our reservation so sat at the bar to have a drink and wait for friends. Friendly and knowledgeable bartender. Drinks were excellent. Friends arrived and joined us. After drinks headed to our table. Waitress was delightful. Food superb as usual.
Food is always excellent. Usually good service. This time our waiter was not very attentive. More interested in socializing with his co-workers/bartender.
The homemade pasta was amazing! Everyone loved their meal, nice atmosphere.
Food was great! Homemade pasta...doesn’t get any better. We come here every time we’re in Providence. Never disappoints.
Great Easter lunch with family. Service was swift and professional. Friendly staff, and we all loved our selections. Chicken Picata, Lasagna and salad with tenderest grilled chicken were all excellent. Valet parking was quite helpful.
Matt our server did a great job. Food was delicious and ambience very nice. We really enjoyed the wine.
Matt was very extremkey vrufgt.

We've been to Zooma twice in the past few months, once as a party of three and once as a foursome. The first time, we were in a hurry, and the second time we wanted to take our time over a leisurely Sunday meal as a family. Both times, everything about it was outstanding! We asked to split some of our orders, to avoid over-ordering too much food, and the server was gracious and responsive about that. We received just the right amount of attention from him throughout. Veal Piccata, Frutti di Mare, Caesar Salad, Broiled Halibut, Creme Brulee, all were as delicious as we've ever had. A beautifully decorated, comfortable space with a relaxed atmosphere. Dining perfection!
Waiting a long long time for our table
We brought friends who had never spent much time in Providence, and had never been to Federal Hill. We all had a wonderful day in the city,Federal Hill, and topped off in the most delicious way at Zooma. Our service was impeccable from every staff member. The wine, and food were all perfect . We will soon be returning,as will our friends, and recommending Zooma to all.
Fairly busy, valet didnt come to our car, never got served bread, fairly noisy, but the food and ambiance itself were very nice. Pricey though, but the girlfriend loved it, so id say worth it.
The food was boring and very overpriced. We will not return or recommend.
I don't know if it was an off night, but we were not impressed with Zooma this time. Don't get me wrong, we have been here plenty of times and had incredible meals but not this time. The lobster bisque was ok not incredible, the sausage/rabe pasta dish was more ground sausage than pasta. We hope it was an off night for them but in the competitive Federal Hill restaurant area this wont be tolerated. We will try again....
Great!!! Always terrific food and service every time we visit . Have been visiting over last 5 years.
Service, food, and wine were perfect. Matt was the best. My wife and I will be back again and again.
Matt was our server, great personality. awesome reccomendations
Great place to meet freinds
Best Italian food on the hill! I live in NJ now and always make it a point to go and eat there!
Very nice! Delicious pasta; all handmade. Nice wine selection.
Just great service by Matt.
Outstanding. From beginning to end the whole experience was tremendous. Stellar service, incredible food, great beer and absolutely beautiful inside
The Food and service are always great at Zooma! The Tagliatelle Carbonara was a bit on the salty side but excellent nevertheless. We had the fried eggplant for an appetizer; it was hot, crunchy outside and tender outside - absolutely delicious! On Tuesdays, bottles of wine are 1/2 price, with a very nice wine list. A great deal!
We were early on a very busy night and the front desk took was able to seat us without any hassle
Very nice people.
Great food excellent service . Lunches are great .
My husband and I have been patrons for over 10 plus years and find the food and management
Is always spot on all the time . Great food even when they are busy .
Phenomenal food, great service. Can’t miss here.
I took my daughter and her friend from Providence college and the waiter basically ignored us and then completely screwed up both of their orders. After telling him he had the wrong entrees he just said “oh sorry, dessert is on me” and moved on.
The food was excellent, however we felt rushed. It was 18 min from the time we sat down to our drinks to the appetizer and entree’s came out.
We were a party of 6 on a rainy Saturday night and we drove there from out of state. We loved the complimentary valet to start. Our table was ready even though we were a little early. The drinks and food were amazing! What impressed me the most about Zooma was how well cared for we were by the hostess, waitstaff, and the manager. They were super attentive without being intrusive and made us feel really welcome. It was a perfect evening from start to finish!
We love Trottaria Zooma!
Food, service and ambiance always wonderful!
We will be back!
The food was very good. The waiter was very professional. He did not hover and left us to enjoy our meal, but when we needed something, he seemed to be there.
The only negative we have about our experience was the seating. We have been to Zooma before and sat in the front of the restaurant which was a good experience. But in the back room, it was not conducive to a romantic meal with quiet conversation. Due to the layout of the tables, we were near the kitchen and several large parties.
We like the restaurant and we will go back. But next time, we will reserve a table in the front.
Our waiter Matt was attentative, knowledgable, friendly and responsive to our unique requests. We had a memorable luncheon.
Danielle was our server and she was great. She knew her stuff and was very nice. Food was amazing cant wait to go back and try new things!
We went to this restaurant during Providence Restaurant week for the $16 three course lunch. Where some restaurants were only offering sandwiches for the entree, Tattoria Zooma gave a wide variety of full meals. Once there, we were delighted to discover that Tattoria Zooma offers these choices every weekday lunch for $16. We will definitely return.
Had a great dinner during Providence Restaurant Week! Matt is an excellent waiter!
This was my second—and last—time going to Zooma. The first was pleasant enough. The second was during Restaurant Week. Two things turned me sour on the place. First was the push to "upgrade" to the house-made pasta. After I chose a different dish, my spouse chose the chicken parm. Without confirming the "upgrade" the dish was brought out with the house made pasta. He should have asked first. Second, one of the deserts on the special menu was noted on the web site but whited out on ONE of the two menus we were given. When I asked I was told it is no longer on the menu. They had it in house but decided to take it off ONE of the menus. They apologized but refused to serve the dessert. It would have been gracious and no huge loss to cut a small piece of the cake, but they refused. The attitude was as bothersome as the bait and switch. So, we will not return and will tell all of our friends not to either. Too bad. It could have been one of our go-to restaurants.
Truly enjoyed this restaurant. Delicious Italian, great wine, fabulous service. On the pricier side, but worth the splurge. Valet parking as well. Highly recommended.
The owner Steve was very warm and friendly. Great talking to him about his home town of Itra and Sperlonga.
Service was not attentive on a fairly quiet night but they did give us a round of drinks on the house to make up for it. Food was good but not great, would try again as have been here before and both food and service were good in the past. Might have just been an off night.
First time eating at Zooma. They were taking part in Providence Restaurant Week, so thought this would be a good time to try it out. The food was tasty, the service good. I especially enjoyed trying a new Italian red wine and their special cannoli! Worth another visit.
Great food! Will definitely be back!
The closest you can get to Italy. Drove an hour each way just to come to my favorite restaurant a few nights ago. You cannot go wrong with what you order here. I am truly OBSESSED. There is nothing like it.
Good Italian food, plenty variety on the menu. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and made a great Margarita for my wife and a nice icey Martini for me. I would recommend the Bolognese and the Eggplant and Buffalo mozzarella pizza. We'll definitely be back!
