Trattoria Zooma is also available for private parties and corporate events, with custom menus, wine lists, and seating arrangements. We offer free WiFi and free valet parking and our weekday 3-course pre-fixe lunch is the best deal in Providence. We are open everyday at 11:30 and close at 11pm on Friday and Saturday and 10pm Sunday through Thursday.

Giovanna, our server, was fantastic and the food was somehow even better. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time and we will definitely be back.

Melenzanella, fried Eggplant starter on the prix-fixe 3 course lunch menu. An incredible deal in a classic Italian fine dining setting. The freshness of the home made pasta dishes is unrivaled. The quantity is so copious that no normal person can finish the menu. My advise: tell the waitress to serve only one of the two menus and share it among 2 people. The second menu you could have the waitress pack-up for tomorrows gourmet dinner at home.

Outstanding meal ,despite a busy festival we were seated promptly and the food was delicious from appetizers to dessert. The halibut special was outstanding!

The food was delicious and fresh. The portions were just right. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu, he was polite and attentive. The place was beautiful and perfect for our anniversary and my birthday dinner. Highly recommended !

Over good, but the simple pasta dish (spaghetti and meatballs) could have been more carefully prepared. The spaghetti was over cooked to the point of mushy. Al dente is not hard to get right. The pasta was likely precooked and dropped in hot water again before service. It was stripped of any starch and plated without being tosses in the sauce for absorption. This made the sauce watery - which rendered the dish flat. The meatballs and ricotta were both good. Poorly prepared pasta in an Italian restaurant lacks complete attention to detail. Additionally my Rye Manhattan was shaken? When there is no fruit juice, it should be stirred - ice chips in a martini is a mistep. The service was excellent! I realize I should hav sent the dish back, but when you’re with other people, it’s uncomfortable to wait for others to eat while you sit there. I ordered such a simple dish, and I know TZ can produce a much better product.

A group of four of us all got differing pasta dishes and each one was exquisite. Very authentic southern Italian. I even had the gluten-free pasta which was good but the Bolognese sauce on top was fantastic. Will definitely go again!

Unlike prior visits, the food lacked flavor. Food and drinks were way overpriced. Not worth your time or money, sadly

We arrived a little early and they were very accommodating to take us in to our table. Our server was outstanding, She recited the specials in such a way that she had us all wide eyed and our jaw dropping because the dishes were so delicious sounding and her descriptions were great. Drinks were creative and fun, Wine list has many options as well as by the glass. Food was piping hot and fresh. Great portions and over all it was all fresh, noting processed, wonderful dishes. We loved it and will be back

We had an awful experience from start to finish. They sat us in the place where they have parties. It didn’t feel like you were apart of the restaurant at all and we were forgotten about. The waiter didn’t tell us the specials and was not very attentive. They brought us the wrong meals, it was the table next to us and placed the dishes on our table and then after I said this isn’t my meal they took the plates to the right table...disgusting. The food was not very good and for the money, not worth it. My favorite part of the meal my was wine and appetizer. I will not be going back to Zooma.

Easy parking with friendly efficient valet. The octopus start was amazing. Great value.

We made a reservation for 7:45 and were not seated until 45 minutes later. Additionally, a couple walked in, asked for the manager and was immediately seated. I do not appreciate the italian mafia culture of that restaurant. The hostess made excuses, we did not even get bread and drinks until we asked 2 more people and it had been another 30 minutes. Qe continuously had to wait and listen to the waitstaff complain about working and swearing. The food was very good but nothing close to what you can get in Providnce or Boston. This was not at all the experience phantom gourmet raved about. I will never recommend.

Very disappointed!
Despite a 7:30 reservation for 2, we weren’t seated until after 8. The waitress was slow to come over but did bring water to the table and took our drink order- iced tea for me and a glass of wine for my friend. We placed our order for food, noting we would be sharing both entrees. At 9PM, an hour and a half after we arrived, and nearly an hour after we were seated, the manager came over and told us that they had ran out of the appetizer we had ordered. He offered another option on the house, which we accepted, and the mozzarella trianges came out quickly and tasted great. One entree came out about fifteen minutes later, followed by the second fifteen minutes after that, even though we had not ordered our food to be brought out in courses. My friend ordered another wine when the first entree came out, but the waitress didn’t bring it out until after we were finished with both entrees. We declined the wine at that time, informing the waitress that it was getting late and we needed to leave soon. She rolled her eyes at us and walked away!
Another manager came over as he noted we were “looking around” and we explained our dissatisfaction. The head manager came over again as our bill arrived and apologized again, but the damage had been done (again and again).
No amount of good food (which it was, overall) can excuse the continuously bad service we received. I’ll never return.

They need a new hostess who is accommodating and friendly. They didn't have our OpenTable reservation which was booked days before and confirmed. When this was brought up to the hostess we were shrugged off and ate at the bar. My wife and I were looking forward to a nice night out in Providence and that was our first time at Zooma and our last.

It was nice to go to an authentic Italian restaurant that had some vegan options on the menu. I had the homemade cavatelli with vegetables and pesto which was awesome and my friend had muscles which were also fantastic. Will definitely be going back again!

Amazing house made fresh pasta. Great service. Extensive wine list. Nice surprise....half priced bottles on Tuesdays:) It was early in the evening when we dined, so unsure of the typical noise level.

Hate to say this but we were not thrilled with Zooma but it was better than some of the other restaurants on the "hill". Brought our friends from out of town as they wanted a nice Italian meal. We usually go to Cranston for Italian food but this time we thought Zooma, as you make your own pasta and there have been a few better reviews for your restaurant........it wasn't impressive. The bread is really a DISGRACE; with all the Italian bakeries in RI it looked like a frozen loaf of whatever was served. The eggplant app. was so overdone, but we didn't bother sending it back.....they should have known NOT to send it out and also the waiter should have known better than to serve it. Their "gravy" was not bad, a saving grace for all other inconsistencies. The veal parm was good, but not outstanding. Actually, the best dish was the black ink pasta with shrimp. At this point I do not think we will return to Zooma. Yes, it is unfortunate that we feel this way...perhaps we will give you another try when it is not tourist season and you care about what you are serving, especially to your local customers. We would recommend Zooma to others to see how they perceive your restaurant...perhaps we will go with them for a second time (and may be the last?). Also, we stood outside waiting for the "Valet guy" ....nowhere in sight, so I asked the outside waiter (who was very busy) and he stated "he's right over there" pointing to someone on the corner where he cannot be seen, sitting on a milk crate texting (or whatever) on his phone!! Needless to say he got half of the tip he was going to get, really didn't deserve any! Sorry Zooma..there are many more restaurants to go to in Rhode Island, and yes, some may be better or worse but we will find out and they will be reviewed just as honestly as this review is.

It was a very disappointing and stressful experience. Zooma did not honor my reservation and made we wait 15 minutes. This delay caused me unnecessary stress because I had a concert to attend. They then proceeded to seat me at a table across from a private event. So, we had a server who was also waiting on a private party. The private party was clearly his priority. Overall, they were not properly staffed, the staff there was not adequately trained, and the quality of the food was not aligned with their prices.

Had a reservation yet was told that they were short of servers so was not able to even be seated in a timely manner. Not sure why this happened in that this has never happened after having a reservation.
