   One dish ( chicken with blue cheese) was good. The other chicken dish with mushroom was just ok. The bread crust was so hard it was like eating croutons. The portions seemed smaller than before. This experience was different from other times.

   Five of us went here for dinner with high hopes for a great meal. Unfortunately - perhaps due to the virus scare - we were the only ones in the restaurant until we were leaving when 2 other people came in. Three of us had the grilled barramundi desperado, which was very disappointing as a result of the overpowering and not very good sauce. The sauce was to heavy and an overkill to what would have been a delicious grilled fish if served in jut a light butter, white wine sauce or a much lighter tomato sauce. Sadly we three disliked that so much we are reluctant to go back. However the other two in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals - one had the veal vivian and the other the Striped Bass, so all was not lost. I really don't know if we would recommend this restaurant to others - they need to lighten up their menu a bit.

   We always love our visits to Totaro - highly recommend. Enjoyed the 3 course special on this visit and it did not disappoint.

   A bit of an off night. I ordered the Desperado Fish dish which I have ordered at lease a half a dozen times before. Was not properly prepared. Our other 3 meals were good.

   Nice atmosphere. Small but quaint dining area. Enjoyed the prixe menu selection. Have a great regular menu. Best BYOB

   I had a seafood dish (Pescatore- Mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp, and lump crab, Red or White over home made pasta 29)-which was almost all mussels and some were sandy. Also the red sauce wasn't really sauce- it was large clumps of plum tomatoes. Wouldn't order that again, if I go back

   My wife and I travel 45 miles from NJ to eat at this friendly, family owned, terrific Italian restaurant. Remember, 2 out of every 3 rest in NJ are Italian! And we still drive this distance! However, on Sat night it just wasn't there. This very small restaurant had 4 large parties and it was too much for their small kitchen. It spite of a herculean effort, the kitchen and staff were overtaxed. The food was still good, it just wasn't the terrific. It wasn't a normal night at TT. Will we go back? Absolutely! Nights like last Sat pose problems for small, family restaurants. The income just cannot be turned down but the experience just isn't the same. But I think I'll ask about any large parties.

   David, Thank you so much for this honest, constructive, genuine feedback. Large parties are a battle that we fight every weekend. Saturday nights are our busiest night, and we try to find the balance between accommodating those large parties, respecting the smaller tables, and remaining realistic about our capabilities. I am so sorry that your experience fell short of perfect. I really do look forward to making it up to you!
