Consistently recognized by Zagat and Wine Spectator as one of the best in the country, Trattoria Roma is your home away from Italy.
Food & service is excellent. Space is tight but adequate. Love the Mussels and Polenta. Pollo saltimbocca was outstanding.
Our waitress was excellent, she was available without being too overbearing, was very familiar with the menu, and had great timing with when our wine and food was brought out. The food was very good, especially the cozze. Our only complaint was that our table was squeezed into a corner and was very close to two other tables, so maneuvering in and out was a little tight. Overall, I would recommend and will likely eat there again.
Wonderful food and service
Great meal! LOVED the polenta appetizer...I will be back for that! Great service. All good!
The food was delicious. I had the chicken parm with fettucini. My wife had the ravioli. We both came away satisfied.
My husband and I went to Trattoria Roma on NYE - we were seated right away, service was very good, and the lasagna was delicious!
We've been to Trattoria Roma a few times now, and were a little disappointed with our experience this time. This service was, and always has been, great. The food; however, is hit and miss. Not sure if it was the holiday rush, but the food tasted a little off.
Service was excellent. Food was great. Table location was in middle of dining area and people would walk by constantly on both sides of our table for 2, which was kind of distracting. Otherwise good time.
New Year’s Eve
Excellent food and service
I had been to this restaurant about 8 years ago and it was fantastic. Just OK this year, food was good, but not great. I ordered Tiramisu and was very disappointed. It was cheesecake with coffee sprinkled on top. Not Tiramisu. Would not go back.
They never disappoint- always friendly service and excellent food!
Even though it was crowded, it was almost quiet. I had the Ravioli and my wife had the spaghetti and meatballs. We both loved our dinners as we knew we would.
We hadn't been here in years. I used to have a store in Grandview, and we also visited it on Morse Rd. We remembered the garlic bread as something totally different, and the meal was good, but not as good as we remembered it. Service was a bit slow, but everyone was pleasant and nice and eager to please.
Great food and service!
Hadn't been to this restaurant for years, and was not disappointed! Everyone got a different dish; from the specialized salads to the main courses, everything was excellent. Our server was very friendly and on top of it. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Overall the experience was good. We were in town for a graduation and wanted to celebrate by having a nice dinner. 3/4 dishes came out warm or steaming. And all three were excellent. However, the fourth (lasagne) was cold when asked to warm it, the kitchen just poured additional warm pasta sauce on top. So now the dish was cold and swimming in sauce. We ended up ordering a completely different dish after sending it back a second time. Would recommend the Ciopinno but not the lasagne.
Great food, great service, lovely place. Best place to celebrate special occasions.
This was our first experience in the Grandview Trattoria Roma - we had loved the Morse Rd location from years ago and decided we should treat our staff to our holiday dinner here. Our server, Misty, was wonderful and we moderately enjoyed our visit - I personally had the halibut special and loved it, but the rest if the party was slightly disappointed in the blandness of the food and we were very disappointed in the pollenta - not what we had been anticipating. Desserts were wonderful and everyone loved their coctails - the wine was also outstanding.
First time at the restaurant. Service was great, food was excellent. Went before the Bocelli concert. It set the tone for a perfect evening
Upon our arrival we were met and immediately seated. Waitress was great and very attentive. Different courses were served with great timing. We had the ravioli and scallops. Both entrees were very good. I’d go back every week if I lived in Columbus.
Service was exceptional and the food delicious. We will return.
Very good as always.
First time and will be back. Food was amazing and service was awesome! Friendly and attentive staff! Great ambiance as well.
This is the 2nd time we’ve been here and we think we’ve found a new favorite Italian place. The atmosphere is quaint and authentic. The food and wine have been delicious and consistent. Service was wonderful too. Definitely a must go-to place.
Thank you so much!! We hope to see you soon!
I was not impressed at all with anything in this place. We arrived early to sit and have a drink at the bar. It took the bartender good 110 minutes to get to us because he was working the bar area tables for dinner. Our friends showed just after we got our drinks so we just went to our table. I will say that they have a great antipasti appetizer. My Ciopino was not very good at all. I had been here last around 10 years ago and did not care for it then and confirmed it again this past Friday.
Thank you for your review. We are very sorry if you had to wait longer than expected for a drink. We were extremely busy on Friday, and for us that is a great thing. We are assuming the "110 minute" time you put in your review was a typo. Our bartenders can get very busy, but we always try to get drinks out in a timely manner. The Ciopino is one of our most ordered and dishes and always a menu favorite. We are so sorry it didn't meet your expectations.
We had great service, and I like the look and feel of the place... classic Italian restaurant... but the food was rather bland and unremarkable.
We’ve eaten here multiple times and it was always good. On Friday the food was off. My tuna was good but the risotto was lacking. My husband’s Caesar salad was so so and his trio of Italian specials was not good. We’ll give it a break before going back.
Server was in hurry to get us out.
Food was just okay.
My 2nd visit to this amazing local gem could not have gone better. Immediate seating ( even as we arrived 30 mins early ) and prompt, considerate but not overbearing service. Always a wide variety of wines to choose from including specials on bottles. Food was beyond words... authentic, amundant and devine. Special occasion recognized with a lovely desert sample that was the "cherry on top" of the evening. Try this delightful location... Check it out on off-nights ( i.e. Sunday evening, etc. ) for a calm and relaxing taste of Italy in our Columbus backyard!
Trattoria Roma is truly a Columbus dining gem. This restaurant has great ambience and charm. We celebrated my daughter’s 17th birthday with a party of nine. The menu is diverse with something for everyone including gluten free options. The service was great and our waters were never less than half full. The daily special Halibut was incredible. The make your own pastas are fantastic with fresh sauces. Make sure you experience the restaurant with local roots and passion for great food!
Outstanding start to finish!! Special occasion or casual this is the place I recommend.
Awesome people, amazing food love that the owner was there helping and working with his employees
Wonderful food and ambiance
Excellent as always! We come out every year for our anniversary and it is always special thanks to the service we receive. I also just can’t say enough about how absolutely delicious the food is. Coming here is simply a delight.
Everything was great. It was a busy Saturday night so it took some time to get our food but this is understandable. Worth the wait!
Great food and service, interior could use some modernizing
Great menu with something for everyone.
