Really enjoyed the meal! I had linguini with chicken and Alfredo sauce.
Food was not edible. We chose three different dishes, the veal was like shoe leather, the lasagna was very dry and swimming in a thin marinara sauce and lobster ravioli was absolutely dry and tasteless. No comp
Offered no one ate that night.
As always, Shawn and his team provided a marvelous dining experience!
Thanks to all!
Very good - would definitely recommend
Mussels in sauce and salmon with risotto were great
We were excited about trying Trattoria Roma but getting our food took quite a long time, and when it came, it wasn’t all hot. The restaurant was crowded - I expected a better experience. I don’t think we’ll try it again.
Food was excellent! We were able to be seated right away with a reservation
Food was AMAZING. Everyone else in my party was so impressed with their meals as well. I will definitely be going back.
I ate dinner there with my spouse and two friends. All of our meals were delicious. Chef Matt has a wonderful way with Italian food but other types as well. I had the lamb chops which were perfectly cooked and served with a delectable sauce. We also enjoyed the braciole, pasta puttanesca and scallops- clean plates all. Authentic food well prepared!
We've eaten here a few times in recent years. While the food is still pretty good overall, our entrees seemed much blander this time and needed an infusion from the pepper shaker. It's disappointing that an Italian restaurant needs to cater to overly cautious taste buds.
First time trying Trattoria, it won't be the last time I go back. The food is spectacular!
Incredible food, good service, and amazing wine! Our server gave excellent recommendations. Enjoyed my date night with my husband.
My girlfriend and I came here to celebrate Valentine's Day and we had an amazing time. The food is great and the atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. Absolutely will be back again.
Great service and food!! Perfect for a nice quiet dinner with an intimate setting
We had last eaten at Trattoria Roma about a year ago and the food was pretty good, so we thought we would enjoy some nice Italian Food again. Unfortunately everything was not at all good, with the exception of the delicious rolls that they get from the nearby Stan Evans bakery. I had the Veal Saltimboca - it was tough, fatty and had little of the delicious flavors it should have had. My husband had the lasagne, and it was bland and gooey. We ate less than half and didn't bother bringing the leftovers home. We have seen the quality of their food fluctuate over the years, and they seem to be in a "down" cycle. Not sure we will bother to try them again.
Easily one of my favorite restaurants in and around Columbus. Authentic hand made Italian cuisine with delicately balanced flavors all in a calm and simple setting. If you want exceptional food without a bunch of bright lights, hype and pretense then give Trattoria Roma a try. Shawn and Chef Matt will take great care of anyone who comes through the door
Very nice. Great lobster ravioli.
Food is very authentic. Service was very unobtrusive. Allow some extra time to enjoy your meal.
I had amazing service and amazing dishes. I had a brisket tomato bisque soup and scallop pasta with angel hair. I enjoyed that even though it was a busy day for many restaurants on Valentine’s Day, we were never ignored and we were always taken cared of.
I picked Trattoria Roma as a pre broadway show dining experience. The food, wine selections, service and ambiance was prefect!
Another fine experience
Trattoria Roma is a Grandview gem with great classic Italian food at very affordable prices in a fun, vibrant atmosphere.
We had a party of 13, and it seemed to be a busy Saturday evening. We have been here before and liked being able to talk to one another during our dinner. Service was a little on the slow side, but we never felt rushed to leave. The desserts where very good, and a good thing to share if you're looking for something sweet.
This was our first visit. We went to dinner before a show at the Palace. We were in and out with time to spare. The food was excellent and our server Victor fantastic. The dinnner was very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back.
Overall very nice experience for my 1st time here. Food was delicious and affordable.
Dinner was amazing their new menu additions are great and can’t wait to try them all!!
One of my favorite restaurants in Columbus. The food is consistently good, service is attentive, and the ambience is very nice for an Italian restaurant.
We really enjoyed the restaurant except for the noise. I realize tables mean profit but we were bothered by the crowded conditions and noise level.
I love trying new restaurants. Came here after reading the great reviews and it did NOT disappoint. I had the paglia e fieno it was Equisite! Very flavorful, large portion. I will definitely go back.
A friends catch up dinner. The waiter was fantastic and we had a nice time!
I was in on Saturday, January 20th for a 7:00 reservation. We were seated upon arrival. However, it was approximately 15 minutes before our actual server made an appearance. Our server completed taking our drink orders, at which point another member of my party asked for bread. Our drinks were brought out one at a time (three waters, a wine, and an iced tea). Bread came another ten minutes after beverages.
We finally had a chance to hear specials, then order another ten minutes later.
The portion sizes are outrageously small. If I am paying $24 "for shrimp", it should be noted that you receive only three shrimp. This is not a serving. This is an appetizer sized portion. Not only what the size ridiculous, but it was incredibly salty. I asked for no salt and it had gritty sea salt on it.
Another guest in my party ordered a wedge salad. The portions here are laughable. His salad was literally smaller than half of a small lemon.
If your portions are that small WITH a high price tag, we better be getting gold with said food.
I am extremely disappointed by Trattoria Roma. I would never recommend this restaurant, unless someone enjoys paying too much for small portioned, over salted food.
We were craving Italian and decided to go here - so glad we did, it was delicious! Cozy, great service, great food, reminiscent of Little Italy in NYC.....
I had a great meal, we all did.
The food was delicious and we can’t wait to go back again!
Lovely traditional Italian restaurant. My husband asked for his favorite choppino which wasn’t on the menu this time but they graciously made it for him. We also shared a special that was a salad. Delicious. Everything always is and is obviously made with care.
Excellent Italian food, stuffed meatball incredible. Moderately priced for the area. Service average.
The owner seated us and helped my mom to,the table. We started with the aramcini as always a delish beginning. I also always order the seasonal cocktail. It has been a different Mosow Mule and it did not disappoint. Had,the lamb special with mashed potatoes and carrots. The flavors were great, had to send the lamb back as my idea of medium rare is different from the chef. #babababaaaa
Love the atmosphere
We had a great experience with a welcoming host, exceptionally good food, friendly and efficient server, all incorporated in a lovely environment.
Mouthwatering menu! The mussels we had as an appetizer were unbelievable. The lamb was perfectly cooked. Tender handmade pasta. Service was superb.
Over a very good experience. We did have to wait for our food for over an hour due to a large birthday party. But the waitress took care of us. We will go back.
Enjoyed our food but had to wait 1hr and 15 minutes for our entrees worth the wait just be prepared
