So delicious the food was outstanding
Outstanding Italian food, with an extensive menu. Many choices of most desirable foods.
Best Italian food ever. Never disappoints!!
Nice location near Del Mar. One of the best chicken parmesan meals I've ever had. Outdoor dining in a semi-enclosed patio with heaters. Very comfortable.
Lovely view, excellent food, background road noise is just OK.
Great food and very clean. We had our own pod to enjoy our dinner in. Would recommend
Delicious food, always served hot!
Maria takes good care of us and is delightful.
The food is fantastic and the service is always great. We love sitting on the patio with the view of the wetlands. One of our favorite places to dine.
They did a great job with social distancing on their patio-they have constructed a wooden/plexiglass barrier between all the tables-very clean environment with a bottle
of hand sanitizer at each table. Great service as always. Hope they bring back more vegan options as the pandemic lifts-they had a great menu previously for vegans. Awesome to be out and feel safe. And as always a beautiful view of the lagoon.
The food was delicious. Love the locationWill come again ......
Great food, reasonably priced. Cozy neighborhood Italian restaurant.
The appetizers were wonderful. Our fish, the sea bass catch of the day, was plated with an interesting assortment of grains and vegetables, but ultimately it lacked flavor. I will go again, but try something else next time.
So good! Great find!
Tremendous food: best calamari and lobster ravioli I’ve ever had! Would recommend
Restaurant is right next to a busy street and we were on the patio due to COVID., so there was unavoidable street noise. Not the restaurants fault!! Noise wasn’t too bad , but at times, it could be distracting.
Otherwise, excellent Italian food!!
Perfect view and food! So happy to have this in our backyard and can’t wait to go back. Dreaming of the lobster ravioli
Had not been back here in years due to the bad service , inconsistent food quality but with a newer owner , Maria as a server, pandemic safety corrections - sooooo much better!
Half price wine Wednesday’s help too!
Husband I got a house salad to share , shoet rib ravioli for me ( oh my goodness good with actual chicks of rib still wishing the pasta) he got the Puttanesca with shrimp - leftovers !
Nice wine selection ... def coming back !
Great for locals !!!
Lots of very good vegetarian and pescatarian options and good wine.
Our son is in school in San Diego and have traveled out there numerous times in the past couple of years. We stumbled upon this restaurant and will definitely make it a go-to. My son had the lobster ravioli was superb. My husband tried the spaghetti and meatball being an Italian he says that is always his first stop that will tell all with the sauce and meatballs. He loved the sauce and meatballs were tasty. I had the Bolognese and loved it. They had a very good price point on the cheese platter also we tried calamari cooked well.
Great experience!!!
Very nice little Italian place. Service was friendly, and all the food was tasty. The calamari appetizer was very good. I had the seabass piccata. Fish was well done but vegetables were pretty much raw and unseasoned. Husband had lobster ravioli, which I tried and really liked it. My son's gobbled up the chicken parmesan and short rib ravioli. Will definitely be back.
Entrees were very good. Salads are definitely shareable, good, but very little dressing. Do not get the cannoli's, the only real let down of the evening. They seem to have adapted well to the current restrictions. Service was good.
I liked the linen on the tables but the 2017 Zagot award stickers on the windows are dated prior to 2017 and should be removed. This restaurant must have sold since those awards were given. The facility and food quality did not come close to Zagot standards.
The facility was dirty. The wine list is so shallow the vintage years are not posted on the menu. The food was cosi-cosi. (So-so). The prices were higher than the food quality.
The server was pleasant as was the bus-boy. The word must be circulating, because there were only three occupied tables.
I’m not sorry for the brutal review. But unless this restaurant has a major change, it won’t last.
There are too many other GOOD Italian restaurants in the area. I suggest you try one of them.
Dinner was delicious. Service was great. I had the linguini and clams and my boyfriend had the pizza. We shared calamari which was excellent. Thats a compliment as my bf is a chef and very picky when we dine out. We will definitely go back.
It was amazing. The food amazing. The staff amazing the view amazing. I will be back even though it’s a two hour drive.
great food, proper spacing, really great staff and value for what we paid
Always love the food and service.
Pizzas are great cioppino is great and the chicken Parmesan is great too.
We had a lovely dinner here two nights ago! Our temps were taken, hand sanitizer provided, and separated tables are on their open air patio. The food, drink and service were outstanding. All staff were wearing masks. Very well done! We will return soon!
What an enjoyable evening. We brought some dear friends who were in town from Arizona. The food was delicious and the staff was lovely and attentive. Will dine again at Ponte Vecchio very soon.
We had a wonderful time. Upon arrival, our temperatures were checked and hands sprayed with sanitizer by a nice warm staff member to address covid-19 precautions. The food was great and we ended up overeating, because we tried to sample different types of food. The service was amazing; Maria S. And her helper did a great job taking care of us. We really liked the burrattta appetizer and the lemon caper sauce on halibut. We will be back!
PVT is a must visit very quaint and outstanding food the service is an A+
Diners will be very Pleased with PVT
Delicious meal, and a safe dining experience in the age of Covid-19. The owners have installed private enclosures for 5 tables on the balcony. The design is open enough that you don't feel closed in. This was our first dine-in experience since early March, and we really enjoyed it.
Ambiance very nice outside on patio facing Torrey Pines beach!
Food average not bad but not famtastic
The food was amazing and the service was terrific. I’m so glad they finally got to re-open!
We normally love the food here. This night was terrible. Cold pasta and cold chicken piccata—they heated it but pasta was still cool and chicken was so tough I could not cut it with a serrated knife. We had taken friends who had never been there before, and we had said how good it was, so it was particularly disappointing. They presented a gratis dessert, but that didn’t make up for the lousy dinner.
We enjoyed a sumptuous Valentine's meal at Trattoria Ponte Vecchio. The food was, as always, prepared well, tasty, served hot and in a timely manner. The waitperson was friendly and helpful, with a bit of wit too. The owner stopped by to see how we were doing, very friendly and personable man. It's are go to restaurant for special occasions and to take friends for a great meal.
This is a wonderful Del Mar neighborhood Italian trattoria. The food was wonderful, baked seafood with shrimp, scallops and lobster and short rib ravioli. Nice selections of Italian wines as well. Definitely one of our couple of favorite restaurants in the Del Mar area.
Everything is delicious!
Great food, great service. Authentic Italian food with a flair. Caesar salad was totally legit. Ravioli perfect.
Reservations: Easy via Open Table.
Ambiance: Great. Felt right at home. Restaurant is small and intimate. Not noisy.
Food excellent although pasta is not made in-house.
Cappacino was a little weak. Not much coffee flavor.
