Our dining experience at Trattora No. 10 was a true highlight in every way. Our first visit will not be our last.
I am obsessed with the rainbow trout salad! It is amazing. My partner and I have gone two weeks in a row just for me to get the trout salad and profiteroles!
Our waiter was amazing- kind and even taught us a little Italian!
Fantastic food! Excellent service!
I am particular about where I do repeat business and Trattoria always delivers on service, food quality and price.
Always a favorite
Good food , nice wines by the glass
Variety of pastas and nice choice of fish meats
Great burata salad and profiteroles . Less enthusiastic about tiramisu
Loved the Short Rib Canelloni and Spicy Sausage Ravioli, the house Cabarnet is very nice too!
I wanted to try Chicago's renowned Italian restaurants. This restaurant did not disappoint. The ambience was cool, the service was great. The food was excellent. A must visit.
My favorite, nicer, downtown restaurant. Beautiful downtown quiet space, hidden from hustle, bustle of downtown in a lovely lower level space. Great for pre theater or a date or business meeting.
Server was fantastic. He ensured we got food on time for theater!
The service was slow, we had a 6:00 reservation for a 7:30 play two blocks away. The food took over an hour to arrive. The waitress was personable and brought a comp dessert but it was 12 minutes before the play started. I usually go there for lunch. The food is very good and so is the view. It was just too slow that night.
The restaurant’s chief attribute is it’s location close to theatres. More attention needs to be given to the food though. My ravioli was hard and overly chewy and there was a large gap of time between our first and second courses.
Excellent hand crafted pasta. Especially like the ability to purchase 1/2 portions. Service was excellent. Overall a very enjoyable meal.
Great food and excellent service- as always...my favorite
We always celebrate birthdays here. The menu is modest in size but the food is enormous in flavor complexity. We were here after the theater rush and the place was quiet and intimate. A+
Met before theater. Location was convenient. In-house made ravioli was awesome. We both enjoyed salads, house side and Jonagold apple. A great find for Italian!
Love this place! Had a terrific waiter too!
Great food that left me wanting more. Definitely want to go back again.
The hostesses were aloof, so our first impression was that we weren't that welcomed. But that quickly changed when our server appeared and even Hector, who filled our water, was so friendly and accomadating. The food was delightful from the fresh field green salad with a wonderful sherry raisin dressing, to the perfect snap butternut and acorn squash ravioli, to the roasted branzino with oranges and grilled fennel, only drawback was a few bones were missed in the fillet. This restaurant never disappoints.
Situated near the theater district in the Loop, Trattoria 10 has been a stalwart for Italian food for nearly 30 years. As it primarily caters to a theater crowd, service is extremely efficient, and the food is very well prepared. Great Italian food, with the pastas, sausage and other items made in-house. Our server was extremely professional and friendly -- attentive but not hovering. We arrived after the pre-theater crowd to celebrate my birthday, and we were not disappointed. Both my wife and I know good food, and it was all quite good.
Unfortunately two out of the 3 main course were not good.
I had canelonis that were very dry. One of my guess had a mushroom pasta dish that he could not eat. It was extremely salty. The restaurant did no charge the dish.
Having said this, service was very good.
I had been to trattoria 10 before and the food was excellent
Will definitely come back when I’m back in Chicago!
Trattoria No. 10 is one of our favorite downtown spots. The menu always has some interesting new items, along with the favorites we've come to love. The butternut squash raviolis are always fantastic. The waitstaff is friendly and helpful. We've eaten here many times and are never disappointed. The homemade pasta dishes are phenomenal and the locally sourced meats are always delicious.
Never disappoints! Everything is always so delicious. Thank you for offering great vegetarian options...all servers are always so helpful with the menu to know exactly what can be made vegetarian. Yum! The bread dip is my favorite.
Our waitress, Rebecca, was a great help in understanding the menu, selecting the wine and in general being friendly and helpful. This was our first visit and we would certainly return.
Excellent food, superb waitress. A wonderful experience. I'll be back.
Fantastic authentic Italian food with a nice combination of flavors. The shrimp appetizer was very good, as was the salmon entree. My companion had the spicy sausage pasta dish on the recommendation of the waiter and loved it.
Very close to CIBC Theatre. Had a wonderful dinner then walked to see Hamilton. Was a perfect meal followed by a fabulous performance.
My wife and I went with friends who were in from out of town. They had previously lived in Chicago and chose the restaurant.
All of has had a version of ravioli. The food was well prepared unique and very flavorful. It was also visually pleasant. A great spot if you are in the loop or have business associates staying at hotels in the loop.
My whole roasted Branzino was amazing! And my server was excellent. What a perfect dinner!
We went here for my birthday, having heard and read many good comments from a variety of sources. We found our expectations greatly exceeded. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, and his timing was always spot on.He articulated well the essence of each item we asked about, gave solid advice, and injected everything with a sense of humor. The timing of the courses was just what we asked, not always the case in even good restaurants. The courses were done perfectly: the ravioli al dente and yet tender; my orecchiette spicy and tasty. The gelato was a perfect ending to a great meal.
ate here before seeing Hamilton on a Thursday evening. food was great. our server was even better. profiterols were perfect to share. got us out in time to get to theater.
This is definitely one of the best places to lunch in the loop during the week. So refreshing to have nicely appointed seating so parties do not have to scream at each other to be heard. Their steak salad is always a favorite. This is my go-to place when I meet someone to catch up.
Trattoria 10 is our favorite restaurant inside The Loop. We dine there every time we visit Chicago. Everything about it is praiseworthy. In today's world of noise and distraction, this is an ideal place for quiet conversation, outstanding cuisine, fine wines, and friendly, professional service.
Very friendly place with excellent service but the food didn’t really match our expectations given the reviews this restaurant has. In general we found the food rather busy with too much on the plate and too many unnecessary ingredients, compared to the traditional Italian cuisine in Europe. For a more authentic high quality Italian, Spiaggia (or the cheaper Cafe Spiaggia next door) is excellent.
Always a treat to have dinner here and walk to the Theatre. Waitstaff is extremely attentive.
Really enjoyed our first visit.our server, Rachel, was outstanding. Already recommended to others.
Love this restaurant! The ambiance is warm, inviting and it's always a fantastic experience!
Everything we ordered was delicious. Fresh made pasta which complemented the other ingredients. Service was excellent.
