Trattoria No. 10
Trattoria No. 10 is always a solid place to go before the theater. They have $15 valet parking, and attentive yet quick service to get you out the door after a delicious meal.
This was my 5th time at Trattoria No. 10. Each time, whether I am eating at the bar or celebrating my birthday with friends in the dining area, I am never disappointed! The food is superb, service excellent, and a huge shout out to Jill at the bar. She remembers what wine I enjoy, even though I haven't been to Chicago in several months.
Highly recommend this lovely restaurant for special occasions. Service very good. and food excellent. Loved the dip for the bread- although some different types of bread would have been nice. Loved the pasta raviolis- shared with husband and both the lobster and the butternut ravioli were excellent. perfect portions as well. maybe a bit pricey, but evening was perfect. would go back.
Nice place for a everyday dining.
Service good. Receptionist not empathetic at all.
We got the bread served 3 times with not charge. It comes with a nice cheese/tomato/basil cream. Very tasteful!
Our family of four enjoyed dinner prior to a show at The Chicago Theater. Our boys are used to dining out, but we still felt very welcome. The food was fantastic (we all had ravioli).
They have a kids menu, but the better deal is to get your kids half-orders of the ravioli. The portion size was plenty for our kids and much better than ordering chicken tenders. My boys loved the spicy sausage ravioli.
Our server was fantastic and the staff is very good at prioritizing tables based on showtimes at the surrounding theaters.
I have patronized this restaurant for several years now through their invitation to a "free birthday meal" and had been very satisfied AND encouraged others. HOWEVER, unfortunately, this year when I presented the same email they have sent me for at least 5 years, I was told that I would have to spend 65.00 in order to redeem the $40.00 free meal they promised. Now it is important to note that for the last 5 years THIER own Wait Staff happily honored their email without hesitation. Even if their practice was now changing, the attitude of the manager was so offensive and offputting that I have no desire to return and will recount my recent experience to others. In the past I personally escorted out of town guests to Trattoria #10 - now, NO MORE.
Dined there 2 times in 5 days with friend, then daughter. One of the gems in Chicago.
Great food, great service. We will be back!!
Amazing food, service was top notch. Waiter actually chased us down as we were leaving to say thank you thought that was amazing.
It's nice to hear that our team is showing gratitude! Thanks for sharing your dining experince!
We absolutely loved this place. Their Ravioli where them Bomb, the service was outstanding. Definitive will return on our next trip to Chicago.
Fantastic service and cheese and wine, forgot to try the soup and salad. Excellent ravioli and agniotti. Dessert menu was lacking.
This place really deserves its reputation. They may have the best ravioli I’ve ever had. Do whatever it takes to have dinner here.
Thanks for voting our ravioli the BEST! We appreciate your review!
This is our third trip to Trattoria No. 10—we have made it a regular part of our annual trips to Chicago. The soups are terrific (minestrone and cioppino), pastas and risotto are sublime (the house-made ravioli, cavatelli with duck confit, risotto with scallops), and the branzino had a wonderful complexity. Wine recommendations are also on-target.
It's wonderful to see returning guests. Thanks for your great review on your last dining expereince with us!
I LOVE Trattoria No 10! They're very consistent with outstanding food and service. Plus, they're kind enough to hold your car at the valet until after a show. Thank you Trattoria No. 10!!!
Lovely place, amazing food, exceptional service. We loved it.
Love that you gave us 5 STARS! Thank you!
I have always loved Trattoria No. 10. It is always delicious. The service was great. The food was outstanding, as always.
Thanks for sharing your review and giving us 5 STARS!
HI Keith! Thanks for choosing us for your brithday party and giving us 5 STARS!
We were short on time due to heavy traffic. Our server was great about getting us fed and to Hamilton on time. The food and service were excellent. Thank you for a very nice experience.
Barb, we are glad you had time to enjoy dinner before the show! Thanks for the review!
First of all, our server Juan was excellent. He had a good spirit and his knowledge of the menu was spot on. The ravioli is not to be missed. If you don't have it for a main dish be sure to have it as a small plate. I love this place.
We hope you will be back the next time you are in Chicago! Thanks for the 5 STARS!
Fantastic food and great service! Highly recommend it.
The perfect pre-theater dining location. Authentic Italian options that are flavorful and well prepared. Professional, helpful, knowledgeable service. A respectable wine list. Very accommodating of a gluten-free need.
Thanks for the glowing review!!! :)
We decided to try Trattoria No. 10 strictly based upon an image of their Maine Lobster Ravioli, and I must say it was absolutely everything that I expected! Not only was the meal impeccable, the service was superb. Our waiter was very knowledgeable regarding the menu and pairing options. This will absolutely be a must when visiting the city in the future.
Hi Jenna, thanks for sharing this wonderful review of the Lobster Ravioli! We are happy to see that you'll be back when you return to Chicago!!
Love that you enjoyed our house speciality, the ravioli, while dining with us! Thanks for the review!
Phenomenal! Our first time--we'll be back for sure!
Yay, we love seeing that our guests will be back! Hugh, we look forward to having you back! Thanks for sharing!
We love Trattoria 10. The staff is very welcoming and we enjoy the gracious hospitality and great food and wine. It’s a real gem.
Wow! Thanks for sharing your experience!
The baby pumpkin was amazing!
Glad you enjoyed our seasonal pumpkin! By popular demand we always have it on the menu this time of year. :-)
As usual a 5 star experience! Thank you!
Thank you for the 5 STARS Judith!
Great food and great service. Close to the theater district.
Thank you for your review Kathleen! :)
The food was delicious. Our server was very professional. We had to wait a few extra minutes for our son and that was fine. He gave suggestions from the menu. We had a wonderful time.
This is fantastic to see! Thanks for sharing your review!
Fresh, perfectly prepared, house made pastas are the highlight and the service is exactly right. Trattoria No. 10 started us off on the right foot for a great night out on a theater evening out in Chicago. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.
We await your return Kevin! Thanks for the glowing review of our house made pastas!
Very comfortable surrounding and quiet. Very good service. Most courses were excellent but fish was dry because it was over cooked.
Another great food experience. Highly recommend this restaurant. Service was a bit slow this time around.
Very nice Italian restaurant in the heart of the loop. Great food, good service and okay decor considering the restaurant's in the basement of a commercial building (not a window to be seen). It's perfect for theater-goers being near all the major live theaters in downtown Chicago and since it's so popular with that crowd, they are particularly attentive to your timing needs. This is a high-end Italian restaurant that prepares traditional Italian cuisine with a modern, gourmet twist. They serve reasonable size portions; not those ridiculously massive pasta bowls found at run-of-the-mill Italian restaurants that emphasize quantity over quality. Trattoria No. 10's food is well-prepared, served hot, and delicious.
Really good food. Great ravioli (butternut squash). Excellent desert (flourless chocolate cake). Great soup (parsnip / pear).
This restaurant was a wonderful experience all around. The food was top quality, the ambiance was elegant and quiet, and the waiter was professional. The only mark against it was that we had reservations at 5:45 thinking that would give us ample time for dinner before seeing a 7:30 show 1 block away. We were asked when we arrived if we were going to the theater (presumably to make sure we'd be out on time). But we barely got out in time to make our show, and had no time for dessert or coffee after the meal. Considering how early our reservation was (ie, not peak hour), this was disappointing. But otherwise, I adore this restaurant.
They never disappoint. There's a reason they've been around for so long.
We had a great meal. The pumpkin appetizer was fantastic. The branzino was prepared simply but delicious. The server was very attentive to our needs.
Excellent food and service. The fresh pastas we're very good & priced quite reasonably for a higher-end Chicago restaurant.
Food was good but wish you got a little more. Staff was good but not great....some were friendlier than others....overall I wasn't blown away
