Trattoria Lisina Ratings and Reviews
Great Italian / American food served in the ITALIAN STYLE. We only live 5 miles away but save this place for special occasions. Excellent wine list with some local wines included. Enough food that we always take some home and make another meal out of it. We have eaten here 10 times in the past 5 years, with family, friends and just us, and have never been remotely disappointed.
We have visited this place a few times, not enough! Great experience every time from the wait staff to the wine and food. The restaurant is located next to a winery and they have a nice playscape for kids. We’ve had Christmas parties here and our friends got together for a wine tasting then dinner at the restaurant one night. Private dining for parties as well. Beautiful ambiance, indoor fireplace for a cold night out, great food and a remarkable wine selection with a gentleman that knows everything about wine to help you make your selection. Our favorites are the Caesar salad, pizzas, lasagna, chicken Alfredo with home made pasta! and their bread w/ olive oil/seasonings on the house.
Very relaxed atmosphere and our waiter was very helpful in describing the various menu items. Various salads were ordered by our 8 guests and they were all deliciously seasoned and farm fresh. Our waiter timed the delivery of our selections perfectly, the meat balls were outstanding. We will be back.
Thank goodness for reservations! We were welcomed warmly, sat immediately, and were told service would be delayed but they're try their best to get to us promptly. They didn't lie. We didn't even think service was delayed! Our server was VERY knowledgable and gave great recommendations. Our meal was authentic and very tasty. Portions were enough and didn't leave us feeling engorged. The atmosphere made us feel like we made a trip to Tuscany. Absolutely awesome. Can't wait to go back!
This is about the 6-7th time we have been here - twice for Christmas Dinners, once for a Birthday Celebration, once for an Anniversary and once or twice for just a special treat. Every time has been wonderful - the food, the ambiance, the wine and the service. We not only love it ourselves, but recommend it to friends or even take friends with us. It is also a plus that it is easy to book reservations online and well ahead of the date/time of our visit (which I recommend because it is a very popular restaurant). A friend that is a foodie and eats at restaurants often said on this visit, "the lamb chops are the best I've ever eaten!".
This was not our best experience, not impressed with our service. The food was good but my husbands meal came 15 minutes after the rest of us were served after checking we were told his meal was served to someone else and they had to make him another dinner. Then when dessert was served our waiter said he normally didn't offer dessert for a birthday but since my husbands meal was so late he would. I will remember other better experiences when considering future reservations.
Excellent service! They made the expletive that much more enjoyable. The Italian wine selection is wonderful and we loved our bottle of wine. The cocktail menu is fantastic with slight spins on old favorites and using Texas spirits. Our food was delicious. Amazing restaurant. We will be back on our next visit out to the Hill Country.
We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The gardens outside the windows were pretty and the building was very attractive. Our waitress was a young college student and she did a great job. I ordered a pasta dish that was suppose to have prosciutto ( Italian ham) in it, but it came with panchetta ( Italian bacon) instead. The pasta was served cut into small pieces, I have never seen an Italian restaurant cut the pasta for you, as if you were a small child. I know it is very hard to find really good Italian food in Texas, but I was disappointed. My husbands steak was very good. Next time I will order the Lamb chops and give up on finding anything other than Italian American food in Texas. We will go again.
We had a wonderful dinner at Trattoria Lisina celebrating our 5th Anniversary. Since I requested a nice table, they went above and beyond and gave us a candlelit table with table cloth. I noticed we were the only table that had this. Very sweet! Food & Service was remarkable. Thank you!
