While the service and ambiance were fantastic and the wine was delicious, the salad had too much dressing and the entrees were bland (spaghetti carbonara and lasagna)

It was a pleasant drive from Dripping Springs. Lovely grounds with beautiful flowers. Pasta & grilled shrimp was great & so was the service from our waitress. We ate on Thursday at 6pm & it was not full but active & we could still talk easily. We were looking out at the garden. Had a bottle of Mandola Pino & it was very good & $28 out dining is considered reasonable by me. The chocolate cake with caramel & sea salt ribbon & chocolate icing. Dress was real casual with some dressed nicer. Felt comfortable.

Pan seared chicken was extremely salty & was in a pool of oil. 1 pasta dish was bland and over cooked, the other was done well and we took leftovers home. When I warmed up the left over pasta the next day for my child, she found a curled shard of metal in her food - she felt something sharp in her mouth and spit it out!! Very dissappointing! We have enjoyed dining at Trattoria Lisina in the past but will not return.

My daughter and son-in- law have given us a nice gift certificate to this location 3 years in a row for Christmas. It is one of our favorite gifts. We always look forward to a great meal, beautiful location, and excellent staff. We can't wait to go back.

This was our second time at Trattoria Lisina. The first time was great! We loved the atmosphere and the food was really good. The atmosphere is still wonderful but the food was super disappointing this time and all four of us agreed. My pasta was sticky. Anything but aldente. My friends fish was dry (over cooked) and her husband's lasagna was undercooked. The focaccia bread is waaayy too greasy and fresh warm italian bread with olive oil and parmesan cheese would be so much more authentic. I really want to love this place. I love the location, the wine, the vineyards, it just really wish the food were better. I'm hoping they were just having an off night.

What a lovely setting to enjoy a delicious meal! From the moment you leave your car, there is beauty all around -- lovely grounds and luscious smells coming from the restaurant. The food is delicious and lots of good selections. Service is excellent -- very attentive and anticipatory. The tiramisu is the best we've ever had. The only downer is the small bathrooms. Not adequate for such a large restaurant that is usually crowded.

Food was awesome, and perfectly prepared. Alex was absolutely one of the most welcoming, genuine folks we’ve met when dining. He was very personable, and we’ve already recommended friends to go see him. Thanks again to Alex for making my wife’s birthday even more special.

We decided to return as on a visit about 5 years ago it was fantastic with a fine dining flair and exquisitely and imaginatively prepared. Instead what we experienced was a tired menu with mediocre food that clearly was aimed at tourists as underscored by the 3 tour buses out front. The restaurant is in a beautiful well manicured setting but the soupy risotto and the clay thick sauce on the angel hair pasta was disappointing. There was also no hint that food presentation was a priority. The fare simply does not live up to the setting. The bright spot was a fully stocked bar with a bar tender that knew his craft. Excellent drinks.

Always love dining at Lisina. We receive a warm, friendly welcome and great service every time. During an earlier visit, I had mentioned to Clint (the beverage manager and guru) how no bars or restaurants carry diet tonic for cocktails. Low and behold, on this last visit Clint had stocked it in the bar! That made my evening - incredibly thoughtful. Not to mention making sure the Lisina bar is top notch. I can't wait to return for another well-crafted cocktail with diet tonic!

I put in a reservation for 3:15pm. My fiancee and I arrived at 3:00pm to get there early so we could show we were on time. I checked in and they said "It would only be a minute we've had some people who have not left yet but once they do we can sit you." Cool no problem, it's Easter I totally understand our 3rd person arrives not a few minutes after. Almost an hour later...(around 45-50 minutes or so) and after seeing parties of 4 leave for a table well after I arrived (we reserved a party of four because that was all we could reserve) we were finally seated.

Again, it's Easter, I understand. We take a little bit of time to order because it was our first time so I was not sure what to get. Our server, who I shall keep nameless, decided that we needed to be rushed by checking on us every couple of minutes, until we ordered. We finally ordered our food after about 20-30 minutes or so (I apologize for taking so long, but we had ordered an appetizer as well). About 80-90 minutes later our food arrives. Our 3rd person ordered Duck, which was good according to her, my fiancee ordered pasta carbonara which was good. I ordered the Filet Marsala...medium. For my meal, the filet was mostly char tasting, and was cooked Well done for most of it. Only in small portion of the center was it actually medium.

So a meal that was a meeting with a wedding planner (that was supposed to only take at max 2 hours) ended up taking 3 1/2 hours. Not to mention, our server was busy talking to two older women who sat next to us constantly when we were trying to figure out where our food was after we had ordered entrees. I get the atmosphere and I get the setting, and I understand it's Easter. But honestly, I could've cooked a better Filet at home, and we could have met the wedding planner somewhere else.

Safe to say I'm not having my reception here for my wedding.

Took family for Easter lunch. Outstanding meal as usual. We come here often for family special events and holidays. The food is authentic and delicious. Great wine list, mostly Italian. Our server, Miles, was fantastic. He was very professional, attentive and had even been to my wife's hometown in Spain. We had a great chat with him about the places he visited. A wonderful meal and experience. Highly recommend this restaurant for any and all occasions.

Best Italian food and ambiance in the Austin/Dripping Springs area. Trattoria Lisina is a beautiful restaurant that looks like an Italian Villa with a winery next door. The food and service were outstanding! I would highly recommend this restaurant if you don't mind a drive.

Have been here many times before and love this restaurant normally. Service was slow to non existent at times and food came out at different times. My moms steak came out 15 minutes later than everyone else’s and was nearly raw despite wanting medium well. A pizza was burned as well so they comped that but didn’t say anything about the steak. Disappointing but hoping this was a one off.

We live close and it is our go-to place when visitors arrive. 5 star in every category except noise level. Screaming for 1 1/2 hours is not enjoyable- even with two bottles of wine.
Keep up the good work.

It was Good Friday afternoon, so the restaurant was very busy. On less busy days the noise level is low. Service is always top notch and today our waitperson was outstanding! She offered excellent wine and pasta recommendations. (I regret that I have forgotten her name). We had steamed mussels, lasagna, fishermans pasta, tiramisu and coffee. Trattoria Lisina is one of our favorite restaurants. The location is a little out of the way from North Austin, but always worth the drive. Situated on the grounds of the Mandola Vineyards, it is such a beautiful location.

The food was absolutely fantastic. The asparagus salad was very tasty and the eggplant side was enough for a full meal. The eggplant was to die for. I love that it was baked not fried. The tiramisu and gelato was a fabulous finish. My friend loved her spinach ravioli and fritters as well. Worth the drive!
