    This has become our "Go To" Restaurant in the North End. The finest tasting pasta of ALL the restaurants and we have tried most. Also the Lamb Chops are simply superb. Can't wait to go back! Everyone should try the Ravioli Pascheri-a "one of a kind dish.

    We had a great experience for my friends birthday! Our sever even brought us a tiramisu with a candle. Dinner was delicious, you can taste the freshness and it was served pretty quickly. Love it.

    We had not been to Trattoria for a while - the food was outstanding!! We ate everything - really great sauce - we had a variety of meals, meats and pastas - everything was amazing. Service was great - nicest wait staff in town. What a way to spend Thanksgiving - we are already planning to go back. Highly recommend!!!

    Great service. Meal appropriately paced. Went for Thanksgiving and wasn't rushed at all. Good for a small party 5 people or less. Has a full bar which is a plus. Food was excellent.

    My husband and I had the espresso martini to start while we waited and then once seated we had the chicken parm and lobster rav. All was great and service was great, very attentive. We’d definitely go back.

    Best food I’ve had in a while. Place was packed, but the service was fast and on point. Water constantly refilled which was amazing, the food came out quick and was just perfectly prepared. Top tier must visit in Boston.

    I went to Trattoria Il Panino Hanover with my son in Little Italy to enjoy a nice dinner on our trip to Boston. We order the ravioli and as I was cutting into it, something "bit" my finger. The restaurant was really dark and I couldn't see my finger so I pulled out my phone light and began looking - there was a metal splinter lodged into my middle finger! It was swollen and red and was hurting so I ran to the kitchen with the knife seeking medical attention. They took the knife and after standing around for about 5 minutes watching the entire kitchen continue cooking, someone returned with a box of bandaids. I was shocked that they simply wanted me to bandage my finger and move on with this foreign metal object still lodged inside my body. I refused the bandaids and asked for a needle or safety pin so I could remove it. After 5 more minutes, they returned with dirty toenail clippers, which they were dousing in hand sanitizer and some big tweezers. I was shocked again that they wanted to come at my finger with dirty toenail clippers to remove a metal splinter and refused that attempt as well. They kept asking me if I was OK, which was annoying and I told them I am not OK, I am in pain, and it's their flatware that injured me and I want this splinter out now. They refused to help me anymore. I asked for my check because my meal was now cold and ruined, and the ambiance had been killed with their dirty toenail clippers and unappetizing hand sanitizer. I was not able to finish my meal, my son told me that all service to our table had been stopped and he'd been waiting for more water the whole time. They never replaced my defective knife and never bothered to check on me or my meal once. I sat down and began to pay the check WHICH THEY ACTUALLY BROUGHT! I pulled out my phone 1 last time to try and see my finger and remove the splinter because I couldn't even hold the pen due to the pain I was in. I took their cloth napkin and began...

When we were ready to order, we asked the waiter and he said 'As the manager I can't take your order, I have to check with the kitchen if they are ready to take your order.' Are you serious? The Food arrived cold and when we asked to get our food heated, his response was ' Well I'm not sure if we can we are too busy'. If I am paying $26 for pasta - it better be piping hot and tasting good. The pricing is ridiculous. We got the Mozza and Tomato as a starter which was $19. We paid $19 for 4 slices of cheese, one tomato cut into 4 pieces, and a crumble of basil. This would be unacceptable in Italy. Waste of money and will never come back again.

    I usually go in the Hanover street side and didn't realize that the other part of the restaurant was the same. I like the Hanover Street entrance and side much better. I ordered a Cosmo and it came out in a rocks glass with ice - it should have been in a martini glass since it is a martini. When we got there it was dead and it still took time for someone to come by.

    Reviews mentioning the friendliness of the staff weren't kidding, an absolutely lovely lot even in a bustling environment. Food was incredible, best mushroom ravioli I've had yet! Literally only thing I can think to improve on is handling crowds at the door, but in the cold Boston winter I can see that being a hard one :)

    Food is great as always. Staff was awful. They gave us a larger table than needed as that is all that was available, but then they started to rush us through dinner so they could turn the table and sit a larger party. The manger was rude and stated "we serve 1000 people per night and we need this table". Not an ideal situation when you are spending approximate $50 - $100 per head.

    We lived in the North End and have dined here many times because they have good food. We were in town so came here for dinner last night, a Wednesday at 7:45. It was packed and SO noisy that we could not hear each other speak. We literally said "what?" to each other so many times it was ridiculous. Then the service. They want you in and out of there so fast...it's not a dining experience. We started with 2 cocktails and split the meatballs & ricotta app. Drinks came fast and were fine but the prices?! Espresso Martini is $21. Crazy. The appetizer came out in about a minute and was barely room temperature. He had porcini ravioli and I had lobster ravioli. The flavors were great but my lobster was fishy tasting and that was a bit of a turn off for sure. Once we were done we had a hard time getting our waiter back to get the check. He never came back to check how everything was with our meals, offer a second glass of wine, dessert....anything. We couldn't wait to leave to go somewhere else and have a peaceful dessert and coffee before heading home. What a bummer. Have to say that when I walked into the bar side to use the restrooms before leaving, it's was maybe 25% full and peaceful! You can't hear yourself think on the other side!

    This restaurant was AMAZING the food, the atmosphere, watching my parents use flashlights to read the menu - all created an amazing experience. The ONLY con is that the hostess was disgustingly rude. In her defense - I really hope she just had a bad day (or even just an rbf and I have one too so I can excuse others’). Either way, I’ve never met someone so unhappy at their job before. The hostess with a slicky bun was so sweet, the one wearing glasses - one of the rudest people I’ve ever met. Otherwise an amazing restaurant!

    Cute spot in the north end, but not great service unfortunately! Server was very unfriendly, forgot one of our dishes, and some of the food was cold. The bus boy/food runner was very friendly, the ambiance was nice, and the lobster ravioli one person in our party had was fantastic.

    felt very rushed. the waitstaff was nice but everyone was rushing around, which I understand if the restaurant is busy but we couldn’t have a relaxing dinner because people were sprinting around us and bumping into us. food was decent

    Food was delicious and still one of my favorite restaurants in the North End. We sat downstairs for the first time and the noise level and closeness of tables was a little overwhelming - we had to almost yell to hear each other most of dinner. We will definitely be back but requesting to sit upstairs next time!
