Really great place for lunch in the neighborhood, $29 price fixe lunch, all that you need to walk out very satisfied. Appetizers, entree, dessert all very well done.

Way too expensive and the food was so-so. Think they are relying too heavily on past reputation.

The contemporary Italian vibe was lovely, but warmed up nicely with tablecloths. We were welcomed by everyone on the staff and met with fried zucchini, freshly baked focaccia and a chunk of Parmesan . Veal Marsala was wonderful and our pasta dishes were equally good. The serving staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Lovely neighborhood spot and we will be going back on our next trip to town.

Restaurant had an older crowd, but it was still fun. Food was OK , but service was superb. This restaurant was more expensive than your typical Italian spot. Great location but super loud. Could barely hear the waiters.

Simply awful, terrible seating, noise level,
Ordering ( captain was scattered ) food was poorly timed , octopus burnt, pasta over cooked .....complementary chips swimming in garlic and oil. And why , why offer crisp bread and then an amuse Bouch of bruschetta.

Celebrated my birthday here and it was truly amazing. The staff ensured that our party of 10 was very comfortable and accomodayed our every need! Food was absolutely delicious. We brought our own cake and was charged per slice to cut the cake but that was the only negative experience as that price was equivalent to another cake. Otherwise, great ambiance, food and extremely attentive and friendly staff. I would go back again for another large party occasion or simply for date night

Food was at best mediocre. The staff was gracious and professional. They overcooked branzino almost impossible and both my mother in law and I got sick from it. Basically they need to concentrate on food quality.

I have been to the other Il Mulino restaurants in NYC. The food here is not quite at the quality of the other two so that was disappointing. However, the service was amazing and the atmosphere was wonderful. Would come back again to give it a second try.

Pastas amazing and great service. The AC was so strong it was an icebox. Insanely cold. Mains were good but don't justify the $55 price tag. Place is good but for $200 a person you expect warmer weather and better mains. Not worth the money.

Six of us went on Sat night for a special occasion, were sat in a corner and were forgotten about. We ordered several bottles of expensive wine, we had to constantly grab the waiters for attention. Two of us finally spoke to the manager about how bad the service was but it never really improved. They essentially said they were short staffed but never sent a dessert or made any effort to offer a consession. It was very disappointing.

By far, would recommend the original W3 street location.

It took me years to get into Il Mulino in Greenwich Village. Lots of funny stories about it, but I persevered (Dallas, Chicago, Las Vegas, all before getting into NY) and I think it is one of the pinnacles of fine Italian dining in the US. Ask for the Grand Marnier -Orange dessert prepared tableside--to see if they can do it (I have never seen it on the menu). It is incredible.

This place is totally overrated and over/priced. I ordered the veal Marsala, try said nothing came with it but offered a small bowl of pasta. It was $15 for a quarter cup of pasta. My friend ordered a side order of asparagus and it was $18 for 5 spears. Totally ridiculous.

Wonderful Italian food. I really enjoyed the fried calamari with spicy tomato sauce (that tomato sauce was some of the best that I have ever tasted over many years of eating out and making my own tomato sauce). I also had the veal piccata, which was delicious, and I tasted the ravioli with porcini mushroom stuffing, which was exceptionally good. The room is beautiful and was very quiet even on a Saturday evening in August. The service was excellent. The little extras that they bring for the table are always a delicious delight. This place is very pricey, but the food quality is consistently excellent.

An extraordinary Restaurant Week experience at a very special NY Italian trattoria. From the scrumptious amuses bouches to the ethereal tiramisu, you can't go wrong. The staff are attentive and helpful without hovering. After perusing the regular menu, I know I need to go back again and again.

I visited this restaurant during the summer restaurant week. $42 Dinner menu is quite reasonable, though some of other menu are a bit pricy. Service is OK, but not as good as the old Il Mulino.

I really thought I was going to love dining here, and the food was actually outstanding. That wasn't the problem. I brought my three grown daughters here for dinner during Restaurant Week. After some quizzical looks from the hostess, we were seated. (Turns out they had cancelled my reservation and notified me by email, that I had not checked in hours. I don't know why they cancelled, but at least they seated us.) At first the service was great. They brought bruschetta and big hunks of Parmesan immediately. I was trying to choose a wine. The waiter offered to help in a way that made me feel pressured. I told him that I would like a few minutes, and I would prefer to choose the wine myself. Well, that did it. The waiter went away permanently. I had to flag random servers down when needed. When I finally did get a waiter to take my wine order, I could tell they were ridiculing me. Yes, I chose the Chianti Classico. At $65, it was the least expensive bottle on the menu. They were laughing and talking about me in what I assume was Italian. I worked in some French restaurants when I was younger and I know exactly what they were doing. In this day and age, they should be ashamed of themselves for treating any paying customer so poorly.
