Trattoria Il Mulino - Atlantic City
All good. Waitress Gina Marie was outstanding!
Wife and friends dined out before Jazzfest. Red Snapper was great! Fra Diavlo was good, but wife said lobster was too chewy! Waiter Joe and crew were great! Very attentive and informative.
The food was excellent. It was a bit loud. But not obnoxious. It was also a bit pricy. But I feel as though it was worth it. Will definitely be dining there again.
We ate at the il Mulino restorant the week before the service the ambience was unforgettably good although expensive
On sept 1 I brought my family back to enjoy the great Osso bucco but mistakingly I was switched to the trattoria instead of the ristorante
Had i known there was such a difference I never would have come
The service was terrible we had to repeatedly ask for the appetizers given so eloquently in the ristorante and when they arrived they were all mixed together ie the parmigiana thrown in with the bruschetta ,at the end we asked for grappa and were given limoncello
Some of our plates were returned the Prosecco was flat and also returned
Our bill was overstated and needed to be corrected
Overall experience was terrible
Would never go back to the trattoria
This was our first visit to trattoria ll mulino, we were higher satisfied, everything we had from appetizer to main course was delicious. Our waitress was very courteous, explained everything in detail for our first time visit. Cannot remember her name, very pleasant and made you feel at home. We plan on returning to enjoy the delicious food and the atmosphere. Thank you
Not nearly as good as NYC or Las Vegas Il Mulino Restaurants. We thought we were reserving for the main Il Mulino Restaurant, but were told that that requires a phone call and only the trattoria is on OpenTable. Never heard of such a thing. The waiter was kind enough to let us order off of either menu. The veal parm (main menu) was good, but the fettuccine with crab was dry. We were trying to get to a concert in the hotel or we would have sent the fettuccine back for a second try. Eggplant parm was reasonably good.
Great food! Wonderful service and ambience. Would definitely recommend
The food was outrageously delicious! The service was attentive and not rushed.
Extremely bland, overpriced food. Service was excellent, but there are much better options for great Italian in Atlantic City.
Wait staff very nice and attentive. Food was overall very good. Wish had a better selection of Rose by the hlass
Excellent dining experience, food, service everything!! Our server, Ginamarie was outstanding....professional and friendly!
Definitely worth a trip back!!
Great place!! Great cocktails!!
Had a very nice dinner. Thought the prices were high, especially the pasta dishes. Food was very well prepared. Surprised that they did not split the salad we were sharing. Service was very good and staff was attentive.
they have 2 menus, they gave us the smaller menu, until we asked about the menu on line then they brought us the bigger menu, they said it was for people in the other room ?
our waiter was great, bread ( not Italian, not very good )
I had my favorite meal , Veal Lemon.....good size portion, not very flavorful.
my wife had risotto with fish, she said it was at best average.
all that being said, there prices are a little high, which I don't mind, but the food was at best average.
didn't match the price!
but hay they gave us a glass of lemoncilo on the house after dinner.
Waited very long for dinner.
Il Mulino, Hard Rock has fine dining, more casual dining and happy hour. Great happy hour, poor dining experience in Trattoria. Poor information provided by servers. Diners be aware.
Very good. Going back in a fre weeks.
I’ll make this short and sweet. The service is absolutely top notch. You won’t find better now on to the food. Portions are small for the price. The fresh mozzarella appetizer was $18 for 2 pieces of mozzarella 2 tomato and the thinnest slice of prosciutto. The pasta with clams and baby shrimp had absolutely no taste. Don’t think the chef heard of salt. The pasta has no taste, the sauce had no taste. 2 out of the 4 clams were pretty much empty. It worth $40+ for this dish. The chicken Parmesan was amazing but for $44 dollars and no side. Cmon. I get restaurants need to make money but what a rip off. WILL 100% tell people to try something else.
The food was disappointing! The grilled shrimp was tasteless , the short ribs were overdone and that what the menu said it should be. The garlic mashed potatoes had little it no garlic in them.
The bread and zucchini appetizers were extremely greasy
I had linguini with calms and shrimp
Clams were over cooked and so stuck to shell I couldn’t get out. There was so little linguini in plate I left there still very hungry !
From our entrance into the restaurant we were met by three very friendly hostesses. We had reservations and were immediately seated. Service was great, food was delicious and plentiful.
Our food was exceptional! Our servers were very attentive. The tiramisu was so delicious! The lemoncello and the end was great! We will be back!
We were welcome and brought to our table. Offered bread. Took our drink order, appetizer order and our food order. Our meal came out and no appetizer. When we told the wait staff they said oh sorry. And brushed it off. We had pasta dishes. I had the fettuccine special with crab meat very bland. We ordered coffee and dessert. I ordered the ricotta cheesecake which was a bit watery and not a great consistency. We were then given check and offered not even a free cup of coffee for forgetting g our appetizer. Then we felt very rushed that we were looked upon and couldn’t even have a conversation without feeling that we were being eyed up like “ok, now leave”! We had a 5:30 reserv and by 6:50 which is not even an 1 1/2 we were being thrown out. A dinner searing is ALWAYS a 2 hour seating
A 3 star overall
Our 3rd visit was very good, but can't say outstanding. Both my food order and my fiancee's food order was wrong. More so my fiancee as hers was completely wrong. This was an issue caused by the chefs as the manager showed us the order receipt which was put in correctly by our server, Freddie. Another issue was the manager never informed Freddie or Alex our other server that it wasn't their fault. Being Freddie has only been there 3 wks, he was very upset thinking he was at fault. We had to inform him so he knew he did nothing wrong. Not great managment there. This all being said, the food was very good once corrected.
Very disappointed in Trattoria Il Mulino. Service was poor, menu was limited and food was over priced. Basic cheese ravioli- $30. I have now eaten on both sides of the restaurant and neither are worth a return visit.
No complaints the food was good and the service was excellent
The food and service were excellent. Especially Freddie and Dana. They treated us like royalty
Great. Loved it!!
It was an excellent experience and the waitress Ginamarie was exceptional.
Going back again August 3rd
Excellent food and great service!!
My wife and I had a quick elopement in Spring Lake and decided on a mini honeymoon in Atlantic City for a night out at the Hard Rock. We chose Il Mulino basically since we were craving Italian.
This restaurant is really authentic. Italian believes in good food, good portions, and good company. From the moment we sat down, we were offered bruschetta and given a small fried zucchini appetizer as a little something to start off with!
Our waitresses Dana and Tanya were attentive, friendly and truly amazing with keeping up with our drinks and pacing out each course sent to our tables. The manager Rod went out of his way to make sure that we felt like true newly weds! They made our experience really special even though we only mentioned our ceremony briefly in conversation!
they spoiled us with a dessert including all house made cakes - tiramisu, ricotta cake, flourless chocolate, and more! We got champagne flutes and were in awe of how genuinely happy they were to serve us!
We will be back again in the future, the service and food were all too good! It really made the night for us our experience we had!
We highly recommend Il Mulino at Hard Rock to anyone coming here for a special occasion, or a night out. The level of customer service is absolutely extraordinary and with that being said - only second to how great the food is.
Trattoria Il Mulino was fantastic! The food was some of the best tasting food I have ever eaten. The staff was friendly, efficient and very accommodating. We were a party of 6, and we all agree, this restaurant was among the best we have ever been to!!
It’s a beautiful space but extremely loud!
The Calamari and Artichokes were well done. The spicy tomato sauce could have been spicier. The buratta tasted more like ricotta.. not the ooey gooey texture but more like a cottage cheese
The dinners.. 4 cheese Ravioli’s were good, the spagettini with crab and Bolognese’s sauces were good! Pasta extremely over cooked.
It was ok. Don’t need to go back
Disappointed in our first visit. When we arrived the restaurant was very quiet and not full at all. Our server was not very friendly and looked annoyed to be working and having to assist us. If we asked a question, she looked bothered. Wish I would have got her name. She also did not tell us the specials yet we overheard her telling them to other tables. She did not come by and check on us once to see how things were or if we needed anything else. Lucky for us one of the other servers was kind Enough to do so in addition to a kind gentleman food server who helped us. Food was just ok. Nothing special. Would not return.
Went to a show and then dinner, food and service were excellent.
Excellent from start to finish!
Our waitress Gina Marie was awesome. I had clams oreganato special for appetizer and I absolutely could have licked the dish it was so good. Had lobster fra Diablo which could have been a touch spicier but tons of lobster in it. Cannoli for dessert was great and a normal size not those miniature one usually passed off in south jersey.
Food was delicious. Server was kind but slow. we had to to get up to find her to fill our empty water glasses...twice
