Unfortunately had a wine allergy and was surprised the chef couldn’t make most dishes without. The waitress was awesome but also was a bartender which is very cool but things just took longer. Overall we loved the food we had so still highly recommend it.

Went there 4 times this summer and everything was perfect. The saltimbocca was delicious and the chocolate goodness might be the best dessert in MI. Service was outstanding, had a server named Julie (I think) who had impeccable manners and timing.

Was there two years ago was wonderful. Went again last night was very disappointed. Ordered veal parmesan. There was no breading on the veal. The waitress was not friendly and the restaurant was very noisy. Won’t be returning.

Been coming to Funi for more than 20 years and the food quality is still very good (although the famous house salad is somewhat skimpier than before the new ownership took charge - no whole pepperoncino, but rather a sliver of one for example). We had veal dishes and the asparagus app along with a special lobster ravioli app. The staff is well trained and attentive as always and you are made to feel welcome. While I understand that with new ownership there might be some changes, we were happy with everything but did notice a significant increase in many of the prices of the dishes as well as many of the wines. Always a pleasure to come to Funi.

We have had the opportunity to eat at Funistrada many times through the years. Last night 4 of us had a most delicious dinner. Our server Andrea was truly a pro and made things so easy. The food was great, the atmosphere -festive and the whole experience was outstanding!

The entire experience was exceptional: Great food, superb service, an incredible dining experience. The noise level has been a factor for years. I know the current owners are aware of it, but fixing it is a challenge that may be insurmountable. That being said, it's just part of the package... not something that would in any way deter me from returning.

Quaint space for good food, a great wine list and excellent service. Our party of 4 ordered pasta dishes, special salads of the day, a NY steak special and veal piccata. Service was timely, pleasant and professional. Our server had great knowledge and suggestions. The food was very good, although the quality was slightly off. Who complains when everything else was wonderful?! The steak was tough, but seasoned and cooked perfectly. The veal was fork tender and a good portion, but swimming in piccata sauce that was too tart. The special pasta of the day, a beef short rib in ravioli was delicious and tender, but the creamy red sauce could have used more flavor and less sauce. The lasagna was perfect. MIssing was a local fish entree, which I would have ordered, but they only offered salmon. The selection of wines by the glass was outstanding. The overall experience was highly enjoyable and I would love to dine again soon and try different menu items.

Our dining experience at Funistrata was outstanding!! We ordered everything from appetizers to dessert and our meals were delicious!! Our waitress, Liz was warm, attentive and our food was incredible. Sara and Suzy took time out of their evening duties to talk to us and make our evening extra special…..we always love our dining experiences at Funistrata!!

We love Trattoria Funistrada and have been coming there for years. We were a bit concerned hearing that there were new owners, but we need not have been. The food is still excellent (though the snails definitely needed garlic!) and Andrea saw to our every need with pleasure and confidence. We chose the "Anniversary Chicken" and the linguini with salmon and Gorgonzola cheese sauce. Both were most satisfying. The noise level was pretty high but, fortunately, we were tucked in a little corner making it a bit easier to shut out all the other conversations.

Great little place with a very loyal following for a reason. Service is top shelf, the menu of iconic Italian dishes is very well executed at an affordable price and the ambiance is perfect. Snug but classy. Would absolutely recommend. Will be back for sure.

Our first visit, waitress spoke with a very loud voice for extended periods of time frequently with the table next to us, we felt like we were an inconvenience but came for the food which ended up being underwhelming. The broiled asparagus and prosciutto appetizer was undercooked and a challenge to cut with the unusually dull knives. The antipasto salad looked lovely but the dressing lacked seasoning and the dull knife had a hard time cutting the large piece of salami into a bite size. Lasagna and eggplant parmigiana lacked flavor. The Gavi wine and tiramisu were excellent.

Neighborhood gem. Everyone's favorite in the area and drive from all over. Feels like family, welcoming, upbeat and so friendly. The best wait staff and fabulous upscale food and wine selections, in a quaint cottage environment. The service is superior and wait staff very knowledgeable. The love of Funistrada and joy emanating from the staff is contageous.
