Great. The veal parmigiana was the best ever.
Excellent pre-concert dinner and atmosphere. Joseph was remarkably attentive and informative. No question went unanswered and he gave us terrific advice on the best choices. Very pleased with the experience from top to bottom.
Great service and very good food. Can be on the noisy side but fun place to go
It was located in just the right spot for us. The food was very good and the service was also good. Each of us enjoyed our meals and the desserts were also very good. It was a welcome addition to an already enjoyable day!
Booked a dinner based on a friend's recommendation for Italian. Lively atmosphere, energetic staff and delicious homemade meals and excellent desserts. I couldn't have been more pleased and will definitely return the next time I'm in NYC. Thanks Trattoria Dell'Arte!
Love this place! Great food and atmosphere and always try to pay a visit when we are in NYC!
Truly one of my most favorite restaurants in NYC. I'll be back on April 11th. Can't wait.
Still one of the best in NY for food, service & ambiance!!!
I have been going to this restaurant when I’m in NY ever since it opened and it never disappoints. I took a friend who never had been there and we split a pizza and the veal parmesan as it is big enough for 3.
The staff is wonderful and the coat check lady was a true asset to the restaurant with a wonderful manner. My guess is that she was substituting and was probably one of the restaurant managers. Or she should have been.
I look forward to my next visit.👍
Excellent food and service. Amazing award winning lasagna. The seafood risotto was outstanding also. We had the tiramisu for desert. Also an excellent choice. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant if traveling to NYC!
One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been too. Always consistent always delicious. Can’t leave without the chicken parm and veal.
Excellent as expected. Great for family meals to. Very reasonable as well.
We were visiting NYC and the restaurant was recommended to us. We ordered a few appetizers which were good but not exceptional. However the dinner entrees were excellent. The service was very good and our waiter was especially accommodating as we had a child with us who was anxious and hungry.
Everyone at Trattoria Dell’Arte is fabulous. From the minute you walk in the door until the time you leave, it is the ultimate treat. The food is wonderful, the team so nice and atmosphere energetic! They pass small muffins, cookies and treats graciously throughout your meal.
I was greeted by the host by name -- he must have Google'd the name on the reservation -- and that was a lovely touch. He directed staff to show me to my table, telling me that my party already was seated. The wait staff was attentive and capable. Most of the food was excellent. Our table ordered decaf coffee with dessert and the waiter left us with the remainder of the carafe to use for refills with our delicious lemon tart. I would go back!
Generally a good Italian restaurant. We have eaten there many times. This time was a disappointment. The veal had gristle and was tough and difficult to chew. The food has been better in the past.
Great pizza and salad. Very happy we chose this place!
This place was great. The 1st thing we were asked was if we were going to the theater and we said yes. Our waitress ensured we were out with time to get there. The food was great and so was the service. A few things to note, tables are very close together, it is very loud. The only negative was the water person never came by to refill our water glass, not a big deal but I am a water drinker. We have been trying different places when we are in NYC, this wasa good choice.
Dinner, service and food, all excellent. There is a reason the place is packed from 5:30 on. Wow! Super friendly.
Very kind and attentive service to families with young children.
Great meal for a friend's birthday. Excellent food and service and they put sparklers in the desserts. Pretty good prices for the area too.
This is a very special place for us, even more so after this return trip. The food is always outstanding and plentiful, but this time we made friends with Raymond, our host, and Sage and Sarah, our servers. They were extremely generous with their attention so it was difficult to leave, knowing it might be some time before returning from North Carolina. But we will look forward to that return and hope to see our new friends again soon. Special mention of the Veal Scallopini...absolutely the best I've ever had...tender, perfectly seasoned. The lasagna used the very best bolognese sauce and was HUGE...same with the chicken parmasan...impossible to eat it all but we sure wanted to. The cannoli and key lime pie were sinful.
Our concierge recommended this restaurant for a late dinner and it was absolutely delicious! We sat at the Antipasto Bar and it was like dinner and a show. Christian, the Manager, is charming and relates to everyone who walks through the door. He makes everyone feel warm and welcome, as if they just walked into his home. We loved the Prosciutto, Roasted Seasonal Mushroom, Broccoli Rabe with Garlic, Short Ribs, Penne Bolognese and 101 Layer Lasagna. The noodles were very thin (not the big curly ones you buy at the store) and it had the perfect ratio of meat to sauce to pasta with a hint of cheese. The desserts were heavenly too. We highly recommend this Trattoria and look forward to going back.
Thanks to Raymond and the team for making a couple of Texas folks feel welcome on a cold New York City Saturday night.
We were there 2x different times over the last four days and the wait stFf was perfect both times.
We had such a great time! The food and the service were molto bene!!
Had dinner on our 52nd wedding anniversary. Excellent pasta dishes and fresh vegetable antipasto table. Great food and service.
It was a stormy winter day and when we arrived the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Wonderful food! Good service and I would highly recommend!
This is my neighborhood "go to" restaurant. Service and quality are always outstanding. Brandon, the GM, is the best "front of the house" person I have ever encountered. If he could be cloned, dinner in most restaurants would be wonderful.
I tend to stay in the area on biz trips and this is my go to for first night in town. They accommodate you any time, food is good, service is warm and friendly. Very convenient to Carnegie Hall if you're going for a performance.
This charming restaurant near the Public Theater is a gem. The interior is charming. The service is friendly and really attentive. The menu is varied and food was outstanding, way beyond our expectations. We are definitely going back here. Thank you!
Sage is one of best servers I have had. He’s really great and a treasure for Trattoria.
Very disappointed. Diner service in a high end restaurant. I visit New York 4 times a year. I always bring my guests to this restaurant. On top of no knowledge of high end restaurant service waitress had also an attitude. Last time here for sure.
Service only fair, not friendly
Italian comfort food. Excellent, friendly service.
Always a treat! Love this restaurant!
Always our "go-to" restaurant in NYC. The staff and the food never fail!
I had high hopes for this place given its location across the street from Carnegie Hall, but to be honest, the totally straightforward Italian food and option for late-night dining was the best thing about it. My husband and I were enjoying a late Valentine's day celebration and picked this place because it could accommodate us for dinner after the theatre. Service was a mess, our server was sort of snide to us, and chatted loudly with other employees, our apps came out immediately, giving the impression they were snatched from a freezer, but our bottle of wine, and my water water arrived after the food. And then our mains took forever to arrive, although it was nearing 1130 and the restaurant was only about 15% full. My husband's chicken was dry and both apps were ice-cold. Something nice: I did enjoy my lobster pasta carbonara, although the egg was overcooked. The Tiramisu was inarguably yummy. However, at the end of the day, we were on a romantic date, and this place lacks that kind of atmosphere entirely. The decor is laughably outdated and feels like Miami Vice/South Beach crossed with Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, and then aged for 30 years or so. Not recommended and I wish we'd splurged for Marea instead.
Fried Artichokes as must
Loved the chocolate mousse and the lobster spaghetti carbonara, however the dining area is really loud and crowded.
