The menu focuses on northern Italian specialties such as the steak Florentine, double veal chop, seafood specialties of the Mediterranean, and unforgettable desserts.

Noisy. Messy. Bad service. Not good value for money. Food was good but not for the price. A zoo.
It was great time with family
Visiting from out of town and felt like this was Authentic New York Italian. Loved it
One of my favorite places.
The best antipasto bar in the City, guaranteed.
Friendly staff, great Italian food and a place to see and be seen.
Drew a bad table near waiters station with an over ambitious bus boy who kept trying to take our appetizer plates before we were finished eating- guy works his butt off though so that was impressive.
Food was good but unless this place is within walking distance, save your cab fare.
Fantastic food and great service! Be prepared to get cozy with the tables surrounding you as they are packed in there! It's all worth it in the end as it's some of the best Italian food in NYC.
Delicious food, outstanding service, great ambiance! The pizza and the cannoli are the best I've ever had. I hope to return when in NYC again!!
Amazing! It's been 10 years or more since I've been but I will never do another trip to NY without making sure I have at least one meal here! ♥️♥️
The lemon merengue cake was out of this world.
Best margarita pizza ever!! Tiramisu was amazing! Fun, lively spot with great servers! Highly recommend
It was fabulous! We were only in the city for 2 days. It was our 33rd wedding anniversary. When we walked in they handed us two glasses of Prosecco to toast with. The staff was extremely attentive and the food was delicious. They bring nice selections of different prepared vegetable dishes in addition to the bread and oil. Dinner was delicious. The waiter even said they could make whatever we wanted if we didn’t see anything specific on the menu. At the end of the night we were too full to order dessert. They brought a plate of delicious chocolate bark anyway. On the way out the door they were walking around with a sheet of fresh baked cookies for people as a treat - of course we grabbed one! Can’t recommend this restaurant enough!!!!
Comfort food hit the spot after a long day of travel.
wonderful location if you are attending a concert at Carnegie Hall...Food is good, service is fine, and they understand concert times...Food comes quickly and is inventive...Good tuscan Food...Fried Artichokes are authentic...Roman....and the Pastas are inventive...They will do Pastas to order....i.e. Clam in White Wine Sauce even if it is not on the menu...Wonderful place to go...
Excellent food and service. Very crowded, high noise level...but a really good meal and the server was very attentive.
ANTIPASTO FOR VEGETARIANS WAS GREAT..WONDERFUL OLD SCHOOL WAITERS
This is my favorite restaurant in the city. We were celebrating my friend's birthday. She had never been there and loved it. Every dish was excellent as was the service.
While eating at TDA, I couldn't help make the comparison with Fiorello's on the West side. Same game plan but the execution here is so much better than at Fiorello's. The service is so much more personable, you have more space, I think the menu is more diverse, and the crowd seems more remote and not in your face.
In NYC for a break to celebrate two 50th birthdays and a 60th. The restaurant had been recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! Food was excellent, service fantastic from Anthony. We were fashionably early but they accommodated us without breaking a sweat. Ok it’s noisy but you’re in NYC and it’s buzzing with chat and people enjoying excellent food. You want quiet, go somewhere pretentious where the food will be half as good at twice the price. These guys made a memorable night for us all. Mille grazie! 5 stars all the way.
Fun atmosphere. Delicious large portions of comfort food. Great for sharing.
Everything was perfect except for the hostess that seem to have a panic attack because I was alone. She had to ask from help from the manager to find a table for a solo dinner. However, the server more than made up for that with his service and the food (3 vegetable antipasto) was absolutely delicious.
We had a reservation for 7PM on Saturday night and arrived a couple of minutes late but there was no problem. We made our way to the Host and he asked if this was a special occasion and I said yes, my dates birthday. He popped open a bottle of Champagne and poured us each a generous glass! How nice! We were escorted to our table. They were full but on top of things. The waiter was great and professional. He handled all of his tables well and was easy to find when we needed something. The food was wonderful, we had a bottle of chianti which was great once we let it breath for 10 minutes. They even brought out a birthday cannoli with a sparkler and a few of the staff sang her Happy Birthday. From the front of the house to the table service to the kitchen this restaurant is top notch. We will be back and highly recommend it to all of you.
Great as always. As always. As always. As always. Is that 50?
Fabulous! We are from AL and wish we had authentic Italian restaurants down here. Our waiter was so enthusiastic we probably over ordered yet we were so pleased with his recommendations.
The service was excellent, and the food was delicious.
Our server Carlos was amazing. Ask for him and you will be treated like family.
Great food and fun atmosphere. Ideal for special occasions and authentic italian food.
Sitting at the Antipasto Bar for a meal provides a more personal experience. The waitstaff is exceptional, especially Jose.
This remains my favorite restaurant in NYC. The service and the food make this place an experience every time.
It was the first time we took our kids there. My wife and o have been eating there for 17 years and just about everything we come visit the City. Never fails to satisfy. Best cannolis ever!
It was delightful, as always. Food terrific, service excellent.
Pre-theatre dinner—prompt service, good food-well worth the visit
Comida en familia
Muy ruidoso y poco espacio entre mesas
The thin crust pizza is the best in NY! Time & again it does not disappoint. The location is perfect for many things NY. The service is hospitable. The wine is expensive-- but overall a delightful city experience.
I love their wafer thin crust pizza. Not easy to find.
Excellent, tasty food. Friendly, courteous and helpful service.
Found it to be a NOT RELAXING dinner. Crowded... felt like they were more interested in turning the table more than great service. Waiter didn't bother to introduce himself. Never brought us bread, we had to ask and it was stale. Food was okay -- not great.
I have dined at this restaurant many many times over the last 10 years. I have never been disappointed. Great location, great service and the menu is always different with delicious specials. Highly recommend this restaurant
The restaurant was just ok....wouldn't hurt to go there if there is a dish you like. My problem with it comes down to the basic concept of going out to eat for the experience not filling up your stomach. First, We were given a bad table when the place was half empty ( A corner table, where we felt crammed and tucked away). Second, the service was rushed. Food came out so quick we thought it was pre-cooked. We ordered additional dish, it came out REAL quick. I couldn't believe it, so we decided to ask the waiter if the food was pre-cooked and just warmed before sending it out (it was that fast). He assured us it wasn't. Either way, we were in and out of there in no time. Not the way we wanted to do a night out for Italian food.
The Waiter was fun and friendly. The food was ok. I just wish we had a good experience to go with it.
We had a great time! A party of 10 people and they fit us in beautifully. Service , food, prices and wine list were great! For our birthday girl, they surprised us with a beautiful cupcake and lit sparkler on it! It was so much fun! I will definitely be going back to this restaurant!
Jeff, the maitre’d and Sage, the waiter were both warm and welcoming.
