We selected trattoria del Arte because of their location near Carnegie Hall. The food was solid and tasty. Prices are high, but expected because of proximity to Carnegie. Wine list was a disappointment. Not very extensive and after first pour our waiter never refilled glasses. Server was very inattentive and forgetful. Bottom line , great location, good food, poor wine service and weak service.

So many better places to go in Manhattan. Food was bland and presentation was sloppy. Waiter inattentive. . Group of 5, expensive for poor quality food and experience.

I found this time to be less satisfying than on prior visits. Previously we sat outside and enjoyed the food very much. This time, though the food was good the noise level made it near impossible to talk. There were some misunderstandings about our order, but the staff were so gracious and responsive it made up for the inconvenience( we did end up eating almost separately due to timing of food).
I would try this again only because of the staff and quality of food when the weather is good. I wouldn’t go back and eat inside unless I was with a large group.

Always a good meal. Started off with Jerusalem artichokes, soup and ceaser salad. Delicious!
Dover sole is the best in town, as well as their lasagna and burrata ravioli.
Dessert was lemon pie- out of sight!!
The only thing to keep in mind, is it is VERY loud, it wouldn't be my first choice with a large party. Upstairs seating has a low ceiling, so it is loud!

My friend and I were in NYC to run a half marathon. We went to La Trattoria for dinner. OMG! The most amazing service and food was out of this world.
Thank you to Brandon Fay and your staff especially Jonathan our server. You are all FANFREAKINTASTIC!

Always a wonderful place for dinner before or after Carnegie hall event. Exceptional sevice, friendly and efficient. Decent wine list at good prices, esp by the glass. The food has always been excellent with great classics such as the buffalo caprese salad, Artichokes alla giudia and bronzino.

Good food, but service is spotty. Restaurant is very busy between 6-8pm, pre curtain dining. If you are in a middle table, you can be forgotten by the waiters and forced to wave for water, wine and bill. Great for sharing plates though. Portions are robust for splitting and this makes the check reasonable. The Antipasto and other appetizer offerings are terrific. Do not miss the fried Roman artichokes nor the vegetarian osso bucco made with portabello mushrooms. Yummy. Had the lasagna and it was delicious, but a little salty. Great Caesar salad.

We have been frequently dining at this restaurant for over 15 years. The quality of the food is consistently outstanding. The wine list is also impressive with many offerings under $100. The only negative is very busy and the noise level can be a bit overbearing at times.

Overall dont miss this place .

Booked a table for 7 after our first two choices weren’t able to accommodate and how glad we all were! Food was excellent; we each had something different - but we all sampled each other’s - the chicken pepperoni Parmesan was the favorite as were the pizzas. Dessert is a must - the lemon pie and chocolate mousse were both outstanding. Everything came out quickly and service was friendly and not rushed. We will definitely be back!

it was very hectic as we were having a pre-Carnegie Hall concert meal, but the service was very good. Unfortunately I ordered seared yellow-tail which was unedible, but they were gracious about replacing it with another item and not charging for it. The fish was mush. Maybe it had be frozen and didn't defrost correctly? I don't know but it was disappointing. The vegetables and burrata as an appetizer was delicious.

We enjoyed our Easter dinner very much at Trattoria Dell’Arte with family members! The food was delicious and the service was wonderful — our waitress was very friendly and appropriately attentive! It is a popular place, so we had expected the noise level to be a bit high.

This was our Anniversary dinner and manager Raymond Buckler made it very special. A welcoming drink, special table and great service from him and our waiter. The food was delicious, well presented and just the right amount. We were dining pre-theatre and the service was prompt without being rushed. I would certainly recommend the restaurant and look forward to returning one day
