Even though Italian is not my favorite cuisine (pasta just doesn't do it for me), I can always count on this restaurant to do a great job with their non-pasta options. I opted to having the seafood risotto for dinner, and it was EXCELLENT. I chose this restaurant because my colleague and I were thinking about seeing a show at Carnegie and needed a quick bite to eat. The waiter was very accommodating and service and food were surprising quick. Such a great quality meal and great service. Our waiter managed to get us in and out in 45 minutes to get to the performance. The only thing is that the tables in the front are REALLY close together. Talking about business, especially confidential information can be a little awkward because other diners are pretty much sitting on top of you. However, if you don't need the confidentiality, this is a great place.

Dinner with a friend. Recommended by a cousin
Excellent Jewish Artichoke.
Red Snapper with tomato and olive sauce. Mildly spicy.
Great service

If you are looking for good but not special then this works but I was expecting better. It is convenient to Carnegie Hall that's for sure. Cocktails were fine but pricey. Appetizers were fine but not as good as the price would have indicated. Someone could have chopped up the lettuce for the caesar rather than presenting a plate of whole leaves. The octopus and calamari was a ragu. And the artichokes were fired too long. The seafood risotto was good but not wonderful. I think the kitchen is simply too busy to do this kind of a dish. The ravioli were good. The lobster and pasta alla carbonara dried out before you could eat it. And though we couldn't stay for dessert the cappuccino was one of the most horrible I've ever had anywhere. I still don't know what they did to create the froth but it was awful and anyone other than a third grader should have been ashamed to serve it. Service was decent but not particularly friendly. And they sat us in a corner where the air conditioning either froze us or we sweltered. If a question had been "would you ever go back" the answer would be probably never considering the number of better choices available in Manhattan. They simply did nothing as well as they should for the price. And that was disappointing. All that being said, also understand my expectations are probably greater than most.

Raymond made our night extra special. The food was amazing, make sure to save room for dessert! We loved the chocolate mousse. Great spot after seeing a show.

Boisterous environment. Crowded, a good way. Typical of a restaurant by Shelly F, amazing service. Large portions, great food. Be sure to get some free chocolate bark behind the Hostess Desk.

I love the feel of the restaurant...friendly and full of energy. This was my third visit. The food was wonderful as always. The limoncello pie is one of my favorite desserts. Delicious!

Food was great. Seating was cramped and uncomfortable . And I made reservations weeks in advance.

Across the street from Carnegie Hall so had a great experience last year- the host greeted us as if we were old friends and the service upstairs was excellent..they got us out for the show without rushing. So we took friends for a 2nd visit this week as we had tickets for Carnegie Hall on a Saturday nite. BIG mistake. Incredibly crowded, 20 minutes wait for waiter to get to the table, the noise level (first floor) was off the chart- very difficult to talk, and very expensive $26 for an ok personal pizza and $16 for a dessert. Had to chase poor overworked waiter for check. Won't be back.

Our dinner was absolutely amazing. The lobster spaghetti carbonara was the best pasta I have ever had! Our server was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was great! Would highly recommend!
