The menu focuses on northern Italian specialties such as the steak Florentine, double veal chop, seafood specialties of the Mediterranean, and unforgettable desserts.

very great quality and authentic food.
Love this restaurant- try to visit every time I’m in the city ❤️
Delicious food but pricey. Busy restaurant which makes it very noisy. We went for dinner at 6:45 and it was already busy. The tables are very close together. The food is top notch and some of the best pasta/risotto we've had. However, the website says it serves pizza, which is why we decided to go, but once in the restaurant the menu says pizza is served after 8pm. The server was efficient but not particularly helpful or friendly.
Our server Isabella was fantastic! We have eaten here probably 20 times and the food never disappoints. This time it was exceptional and coupled with the great service it made for a wonderful evening.
One of our go to favorite places in NYC, never miss it on a trip. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to try a trendy Italian restaurant.
Our server never cracked a smile and struck me as close to hostile. This is a strange experience at Trattoria Dell'Arte, where the service is usually delightful.
Outstanding all the way around. The food was nothing short of exceptional. Service was also great. I highly recommend.
We’ve been going to the Trattoria Dell’Arte for several years. We always enjoy the food and the atmosphere. The managers and the servers are all extremely nice and considerate. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. It is a little noisy but that add to the fun in many ways. I recommend the pizza with its very thin crisp crust.
Anniversary. Our table location was tight and loud; previously we sat in better locations. Serving staff was top notch and made good recommendations. Food was excellent.
Not worth the price. Service was slow and impersonal, food was just okay. Drinks were not very good.
We had a group of 5 Woman salads were all great one meal was outstanding the rest were ok
Seating is quite cramped and expect to be bumped by wait staff and throughout the meal. The food was very good but the portions small for the price.
They double charged us for a $58 bottle of wine and the food was mediocre for the price. Wouldn't recommend anyone going there.
A very good restaurant, with a large menu of international plates. Excelente food, and a very large options of wines, and other beverages. We loved the Veal Parmesan, and was espectacular. We enjoy the evening there, bit, the food, was the best de ate in the past few years .It worth to go, and enjoy the food, and the place.
My branzino al forno was great with a half order of cacio de Pepe pasta. Loved it. My husband ordered the veal chop Milanese which was enormous. Little too much.
Server was great and the limoncello offered complimentary was very nice.
Will return again.
Food was less than mediocre. Considering the cost it was absolutely ridiculous.
They offer 3 or 6 antipasto. We got 3. They brought them cold and shoved on a plate. When we complained, they put it into a microwave! Bread was cold and stale. They brought really pageant olive oil to dip. No vinegar. We decided not to take a risk with main dishes and went for dessert to ice cream place two blocks away.
The whole experience was not worth money, even less - time. What a waste.
We had a reservation, but were seated next to waiters coming from the kitchen. I ordered a $120 bottle of wine and the first bottle was like vinegar, but the waitress was quick to grab another to let me try, it was fine. I appreciated her making that work without making me feel bad about it. It’s pretty noisy if you’re trying to have a conversation.
Used to love this place was our go to restaurant. The menu has really not changed but the service was horrible. First the tuna I ordered medium rare came out well done then the waiter never even came over to check I had to flag the host over to bring it back. The waiter did not even show up to bring the new tuna out. No apology for the issue. The replacement took 30 minutes to come the people I was with finished their meal 20 minutes before I got my main. No offer of anything from the waiter no free dessert which would have been the least they should have done they should have just comped my entree but nothing. Its a shame because I really did love this place but probably will never go back.
Absolutely exquisite meal for the six of us served by two or three excellent servers who could not have made us any happier. Special visit to our table by Executive Chef Tony Acinapura really made our Trattoria Dell'Arte experience wonderful. Looking forward to our next trip to New York City and our next meal at TDA!
Good service and ambiance, but the appetizers were average. However both of our fish entrees were cooked to perfection. The free glass of Prosecco was nice.
Service was the best part of our lunch. Food was OK, not great. Noise level was intolerable. Would never go back unless noise absorbers are installed. Who enjoys screaming at their dining partners over lunch or dinner.
Had the price fix with a free poseco after showing play tickets. Arrived for lunch a little before 12:00 but as the restaurant filled the noise level continued to rise. Hard to carry on a conversation at a table for two. Food and service were very good so would return
As comfortable as real italian in combination with real new york and good good food. don't think, just ho there.
Some of the best pasta I have ever had! This place never disappoints, the food and service are excellent!
Great for a very large party. Food is good and service friendly. Place feels a bit rundown, especially on basement level where restrooms are located.
Always a good stop for Sunday Brunch. Appt bar is loaded with many wonderful choices.
There’s no better greeting at any of the 12,000 restaurants in New York City then at Trattoria!
The food is the best because they skimp on nothing.
Favorite joint for 30 years !
Our second time there. Food was as delicious as we remembered and service and warmth - especially considering how large the restaurant is - was very impressive. At the end of the meal, one of the matre d's walked around offering fresh baked cookies off a cookie sheet - very informal and cozy. Love this place!!
Excellent food. Nice wine list. A bit expensive. The antipasto bar is the best! Had the lobster and shrimp arrabiata pasta. Very good but not too spicy. A bit lively and noise level is high. Overall a very nice place with good food.
Great food and service. Annoyed by very small pours for wine. Wine overpriced for what you get.
This place is fabulous! We had an early reservation and of course were seated immediately. Upon our arrival there were two glasses of champagne waiting for us. On the reservation it asked about any special occasions and yes, it was our 35 wedding anniversary. The service and food were exceptional. It is normal NYC fine dining prices, but for this kind of occasion well worth it. I had the special halibut and my husband had the tuna - both great. We definitely recommend it. The first time we were there back in Feb we didn't have reservations, but were able to sit at the bar and that was a lot of fun and the same menu options.
This restaurant had a great ambiance and buzz! The problem is that you are rushed to eat fast. While enjoying the appetizers, the entrees are being delivered at the same time. The food is good but served only at room temperature. It is obvious that it is prepared ahead and waiting around.
The experience does not give you a pleasant dining opportunity!
a little expensive, but the waiter had a great personality and took care of us well, and the chocolate mousse was excellent!
We love this place. If in New York we must have at least one meal here. The antipasti are incredible. The pizza is amazing with paper thin crust and a luscious topping. The staff is so warm and friendly and they just want you to enjoy your experience at Trattoria dell'Arte. It is a good good experience. Go, you won't be sorry.
We ordered an appetizer and two main courses. The appetizer, octopus and squid, which came in a heavy red sauce, was unappealing and not what we were expecting. My wife ordered the Salmon for her main course, and it was very good. I ordered Chicken Piccata Milanese, and it was very heavily battered and deep fried, with very thin slices of artichoke hearts on top, not what I was expecting. The appetizer arrived promptly, but the main courses took much too long to arrive. So, two out of three things we ordered were disappointing and so was the service. Not planning to return.
The food was excellent but the noise level was very high making a conversation across the table difficult.
If you want to attend a concert at Carnegie hall, this is the place to go if you’re driving. There is a garage in the same building and you’re across the street from Carnegie hall.
The restaurant is huge and noisy. Menus is extensive and the food is good. For the most part service is good. Typical Italian food. Something for everyone.
Service was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Food was delicious, served beautifully.
Can’t wait to come back!
Great restaurant in great location, but downstairs is always too noise to talk. This time we were upstairs and it was delightful. Food, ambiance, and service were all elevated because we could enjoy our conversation. Thanks!
