   They didn’t have the item I most wanted to order. Took a while to take my order. Service was efficient but lacked warmth or friendly demeanor.

   The restaurant is in a perfect location across from Carnegie Hall, where my husband and I regularly attend concerts. I had requested a specific table at which we were graciously seated. We sat for a long time without our order being taken, and when I mentioned it to the maitre d', he immediately took our order. We learned later that the dining room was down three servers that day -- but the staff members who were present did their best to make up for it. We wanted a light pre-concert meal, so we had a three-vegetable appetizer and a veggie pizza. Everything was fresh and tasty -- and the pizza had a very thin crust, just like in Italy.

   The food was great. The seating was upstairs with very low ceiling and cramped tables. A bit claustrophobic and not worth it when we were out for a nice occasion and spent $500 for the night

    Trattoria is always the most wonderful experience. To be greeted by Jeff the Maitre’D, and our waiter, Anise was wonderful. My sweetheart Debbie has food allergies, when I made the reservation that information was included. Anise had that information too, meaning everyone was aware which is awesome!!!
