Great staff and food!!
Was wonderful. Great host, waiter and staff. Food was excellent, beautifully presented. Lasagna was truly superb, burrada fresh, antipasti delectable. I come here every time I’m in New York City. Very convenient to Carnegie Hall and Music offices in area.
The food was excellent and the service outstanding.
Great food great service totally enjoyed the evening sure to return
Always good food, great ambiance, excellent service.... and they'll get you through your meal in time for whatever event you have.
Late night after theater. Second time during week to NYC. Friendly maitre di, attentive service, delish food. All good!
Wonderful service with extras..amazing food and wine. Don’t miss the thin crust pizza and vegetable antipasto. Just a terrific restaurant.
This place is awesome. Run by the best staff and the food is delicious!!
We selected trattoria del Arte because of their location near Carnegie Hall. The food was solid and tasty. Prices are high, but expected because of proximity to Carnegie. Wine list was a disappointment. Not very extensive and after first pour our waiter never refilled glasses. Server was very inattentive and forgetful. Bottom line , great location, good food, poor wine service and weak service.
So many better places to go in Manhattan. Food was bland and presentation was sloppy. Waiter inattentive. . Group of 5, expensive for poor quality food and experience.
I found this time to be less satisfying than on prior visits. Previously we sat outside and enjoyed the food very much. This time, though the food was good the noise level made it near impossible to talk. There were some misunderstandings about our order, but the staff were so gracious and responsive it made up for the inconvenience( we did end up eating almost separately due to timing of food).
I would try this again only because of the staff and quality of food when the weather is good. I wouldn’t go back and eat inside unless I was with a large group.
Always a good meal. Started off with Jerusalem artichokes, soup and ceaser salad. Delicious!
Dover sole is the best in town, as well as their lasagna and burrata ravioli.
Dessert was lemon pie- out of sight!!
The only thing to keep in mind, is it is VERY loud, it wouldn't be my first choice with a large party. Upstairs seating has a low ceiling, so it is loud!
My friend and I were in NYC to run a half marathon. We went to La Trattoria for dinner. OMG! The most amazing service and food was out of this world.
Thank you to Brandon Fay and your staff especially Jonathan our server. You are all FANFREAKINTASTIC!
Always a wonderful place for dinner before or after Carnegie hall event. Exceptional sevice, friendly and efficient. Decent wine list at good prices, esp by the glass. The food has always been excellent with great classics such as the buffalo caprese salad, Artichokes alla giudia and bronzino.
Good food, but service is spotty. Restaurant is very busy between 6-8pm, pre curtain dining. If you are in a middle table, you can be forgotten by the waiters and forced to wave for water, wine and bill. Great for sharing plates though. Portions are robust for splitting and this makes the check reasonable. The Antipasto and other appetizer offerings are terrific. Do not miss the fried Roman artichokes nor the vegetarian osso bucco made with portabello mushrooms. Yummy. Had the lasagna and it was delicious, but a little salty. Great Caesar salad.
Great service! Fun staff!
Good place to bring kids for pizza. The prosciutto was delicious.
We were six ! Our waiter was rude and not accommodating .
We requested coffee and was told we might get it .
He often bumped on purpose our dinners .
Everyone was not pleased and we did not tip him
Good food. Good service. A little pricey, but what do you expect midtown!
Across 7th Ave. from Carnegie Hall, our favorite pre-concert restaurant with fine food and fast and efficient service.
Amazing fresh colorful salad! Wonderful service!!
We have been frequently dining at this restaurant for over 15 years. The quality of the food is consistently outstanding. The wine list is also impressive with many offerings under $100. The only negative is very busy and the noise level can be a bit overbearing at times.
Overall dont miss this place .
Articoke pizza amazing Calves liver good
We love this place and return as often as possible when in Midtown.
Food very good, service friendly and very good. Pre-theatre crowd is a bit noisy once they leave much quieter.
Great service and food. Will definitely be returning next time I’m in New York.
Fabulous food, atmosphere, and staff!
Booked a table for 7 after our first two choices weren’t able to accommodate and how glad we all were! Food was excellent; we each had something different - but we all sampled each other’s - the chicken pepperoni Parmesan was the favorite as were the pizzas. Dessert is a must - the lemon pie and chocolate mousse were both outstanding. Everything came out quickly and service was friendly and not rushed. We will definitely be back!
Friendly ambience and nice food
it was very hectic as we were having a pre-Carnegie Hall concert meal, but the service was very good. Unfortunately I ordered seared yellow-tail which was unedible, but they were gracious about replacing it with another item and not charging for it. The fish was mush. Maybe it had be frozen and didn't defrost correctly? I don't know but it was disappointing. The vegetables and burrata as an appetizer was delicious.
Wonderful time celebrating our 32-year anniversary.
Best spaghetti carbonara I’ve had outside Italy. Others enjoyed their meals - fish and pastas.
First night in New York. We wanted a restaurant near hotel.
The setting was nice the food was good.
We were staying at The Viceroy on Central Park, about 5mins walk.
Would recommend it
Food was carefully prepared and more than abundant. Fabulous antipasto selection.Service solicitous and timely.Look forward to returning soon.
Waiter didn’t listen to our inquiries about their recommendation, and didn’t give us proper advice. He treated us as the last persons whom they want to serve.
Muy buen a atención y la comida con el nivel de siempre!!!
Great food but rather loud.
We enjoyed our Easter dinner very much at Trattoria Dell’Arte with family members! The food was delicious and the service was wonderful — our waitress was very friendly and appropriately attentive! It is a popular place, so we had expected the noise level to be a bit high.
Excellent restaurant across from Carnegie Hall. Wonderful service. Food is Excellent! You'll be impressed.
