Great brunch spot! Awesome tasting Italian style food! Definitely recommend for brunch
I don’t get it. Food is ok. Tables are too close together, very noisy and overpriced. I guess it appeals to tourists.
The quality of the food isn’t what it once was.
Restaurant is very nice...tables though very close together...would have liked more space....bar is nice but also in a very crowded and tight spot. Felt like everything was crowded.Artwork interesting??!! Food was very good. Waiter was good...were somewhat rushed...brought check without our asking for it and never asked if we wanted coffee..we wanted to order cappuccino and before we could ask he handed us the check!! Location perfect for Carnegie Hall and to the parking garage which is located next door.
Food was excellent, however, the portions were not large - although we left feeling full. Service was great. We were seated right away. As it started getting crowded, we felt we were not rushed in any way. Overall it was a great experience and would love to go back and try another dish.
The service is always outstanding!! We love it there!
Always great food and service.
Great food and wonderful service. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
First rate experience as always!!
Great service and the best pizzas in NYC. Good wine selection
I had been to Trattoria before and really loved it. I wanted to plan a special reunion for my family and reserved a table of 10 one week in advance. We had a nice table but I was really dissapointed my food was served cold as well as one of the members in our party. The waiter was kind to reheat it for us but I was not expecting this......not after paying the $500 tab plus the $100 tip. It was also extremely loud. We had to yell at each other. This was really dissapointing because it was our only evening out as a family together. I won't make this same mistake twice. Cynthia from San Antonio.
The restaurant was virtually empty and even with reservations they sat us (or squeezed us in) along 2-top row; so close to my neighbors table, I could have eaten off her plate. The food, subpar at best, was not worth the trip or $$$$. My chicken Milanese was so thin it was dry and looked like someone chewed it up, spit it out and they refried it. Horrible. Save your pennies and go somewhere else. Very disappointed.
We sat at the bar full menu victor made the experience great and we felt like regulars even though it was our first time there
Go and enjoy
My husband and I were in the city last Saturday and before out theater date I thought it would be nice to go to Trattoria Dell'Arte as he had not ever been there and I had not been in several years. The service was as friendly as I remember and our waiter was extremely nice. We received a complimentary glass of bubbly which was a nice treat to begin our meal. We then ordered the calamari and octopus casserole but were disappointed as the description did not lead us to think that the seafood would be in a dish full of marinara. My husband then ordered the scallops on a bed of swiss chard over-top creamy corn. He liked the dish but thought the swiss chard was a bit salty. I ordered three vegetables from the side bar in the back, broccoli raab, swiss chard au gratin and a mixture of mushrooms. They were all delicious. To finish off the meal, we ordered an Americano and the cannolis, which still are as delicious as I remember them, in a crispy lace cannoli shell. Overall I thought the restaurant was not as up to par as I remember, but the dessert gave me a happy feeling when I left! I might try again some time in the future.
The veal parmigiana with pepperoni is to die for! A must have. Very loud in here!
Staff couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating.
Noise level was high.
We all enjoyed our meals
They allow guests to take out their laptops and plop them on the table while they are eating! I paid $200 and felt I was at Starbucks! So un-classy for an upscale restaurant
Pleasant surprise as we were at Bond 45 recently which has a similar menu And run by the same group and were extremely disappointed there.
Led by Jeff, the team could not be nicer and more accommodating. We feel special each time we dine here and walk away satisfied with great food and service.
A great place for a casual dinner with kids, friendly staff, large portions, suitable for sharing.
It has a good selection on the menu similar but not exactly to Cafe Fiorello.
Friendly staff. Spotty service. Very good food. Coffee was lukewarm( ambience very good!
Nice place. Very loud on Saturday night. Service very good. Mixed result on entree’s
We eat here every time we come to New York!! Never disappoints.
We celebrated a birthday. First time there and not the last! Delicious!
Best cannolis anywhere and garlic bread is amazing.
Delicious food with top notch service in a cool spot
We were a group of four and we all had a delicious dinner experience, it was nice not to feel rushed. I had their pepperoni chicken parmigiana and took half home. Still delicious the next day. Don’t leave without dessert.
You are my favorite NYC restaurant. I visit Manhattan about 3 times every year and I dine there at least
twice every visit. Bravo!!!
Not as good as usual. Peppers in sausage appetizer were overcooked to mushy. Overdone pasta was replaced and much better.
Table was soso located at an emergency exit , food was good. bathrooms were very dirty and gross. Overall experience was ok but not excellent. Don't know if I would return though
Great family dinner!! Chop Veal Parmiggiana fantastic!! Delicious Panettone
This is not my first time at this restaurant. The food was delicious. My son (age 11) loved the lasagna (close to our hone made lasagna) daughter (age 8) loved the ravioli (we asked because she’s a kid that instead of pesto sauce a marina sauce and they were really nice about it) husband loved his chicken and I ordered the chicken Milanese (for my kids if they didn’t like their dish) everything was delivered plates were empty when the waiter cleared the table. Prices reflect you are definitely in NYC but service and food were delicious. The appetizer oration was small but delicious.
The service is outstanding, the restaurant is lovely and the food is divine
Have come here for 10 years but it’s in decline. Made reservation for after the theatre. Got there on time. We were ushered to a table in the front right by the chill of the wintry door. Knowing there was a main dining room in the back , we asked to be seated there, away from the chill. The main dining room was nearly empty so I guess they need people seated by the cold window upfront to pretend they are busy.
Waiter became immediately disinterested when we didn’t order wine and literally stopped pouring water and called the busboy to finish pouring for the last two in our table. Service from the busboys was equally terrible. Food was average. This place has had its heyday and it’s not worth coming back to.
I have visited this establishment several times. It always feels as though you are a returning family menu. Service is exceptional, from the greeting, the wait staff, bar staff. The food is trattoria simple, delicious and well presented. I have taken clients here and they have all raved. Myfamily always looks forward to a return visit.
It is also a great celebrity spotting venue, likely due to the proximity toCarnegis Hall.
Went down to the city for the day and my wife brought me here for my birthday. Food was wonderful and our server was fantastic. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for excellent Italian food.
Second time eating at Trattoria in the last few months. I loved the bolognese tordelli ravioli so much the first time, I ordered it again. Also split the meatball appetizer with my husband. Both were delicious. My husband’s rigatoni with lobster and shrimp diavolo was disappointing- it did not have an abundance of shrimp or lobster. Waitress was rude and unfriendly. I know they’re busy, and it’s Christmas Week, but no excuse. Everyone else was very friendly. Loved that we were seated in a booth instead of one of the smaller tables for 2.
Christmas with family
One of my favorite Italian restaurants in the tri-state area. Did not disappoint! Dinner was as delectable as ever!!
