The only place to eat before a Carnegie Hall concert!!!
convenient, delicious, and a one minute walk across the street to go to the show.
Being a New Yorker for almost 26 years this restaurant is a legend, never disappointed.
This restaurant is outstanding!! The staff is wonderful . Every bite is delicious .
Great place to before a show at the city center.
We arrived at 6:15 on a Sunday night and immediately felt welcomed, by the staff, the decor, and the whole ambience. Our server was friendly, smart, helpful and patient. The food was top-notch. At around 7pm the room filled up with a jolly crowd, so the noise level went up a little; but it was never unpleasant. We so appreciated that there was no "background music". It was a great dining experience!
Best dish was the cheese platter. Lasagna was disappointing. Salad was good, so was the linguine and clams.
Service was awesome!
Our family returned to NYC for dining and shows. First time since 2019. Trattoria Dell’Arte was our first stop. Excellent as always. The food and service was superb. Trattoria Dell’Arte remains a treat.
The food was ok. It was more northern Italian rather than traditional Italian and was a little too rich and heavy. I didn’t care for the short rib meatballs or the cannolis. I prefer traditional Italian. The Service in the atmosphere was great.
We've been going to Trattoria Dell'Arte for more than 20 years and it's been consistently good. Excellent service too. As a vegetarian, I just wish they had more meatless choices. Other than a couple of pizzas and one pasta dish, there was nothing for me.
Great place to go to before or after a Broadway show.
Extremely professional, superb service! Loved the ambience. Food was amazing as well!
We had a wonderful pre-show dinner here - the food was exceptional and great service. We loved the ravioli and the cannoli best. It was my husband’s birthday and they made it special for him. A night to remember as we just walked over to Carnegie hall after all the spoils.
I had a delicious pasta dish with lobster and a poached egg on top, which was so yummy, after the caprese salad. My friend loved her branzino fish and her appetizer of octopus and squid cooked in a warm wonderful sauce. We particularly appreciated that every party was well-spaced, so that nobody had anybody just next to them, in these days of Covid-19. The location is so handy, just across the street from Carnegie Hall, our next stop. We'll be back!
Surprisingly quiet evening considering the Philharmonic concert at Carnegie.
Food was very good, but it was the amazingly warm and attentive service that was so exceptional.
Great waiter. Fast service and super delicious food
We made reservations and order a cocktail before dinner and were advised we needed to order our food immediately because the kitchen was about to close.
They shouldn't take reservations if they will not be able to provide an enjoyable experience. Disappointing since we've been there every time we visit NYC
Amazing from starters to dessert!
Always fabulous food and fabulous service. Our go-to dining spot!
Und wieder sehr nette Bedienung und super Essen.
Delicious food and amazing service for an early NYE dinner
The food was cold, the espresso was cold and the service was lousy. I've eaten here before but most likely won't go again.
Great service, great food.
Impeccable food and service. Would definitely return again.
Super italienisches Essen und nette Atmosphäre
I came many times. Appreciating the quality of food. Quality is still there but overall very disappointing as we really feel being just considering as tourists, just good to pay for a disappointing time. Quality but no pleasure. Not sure I will go again
We loved it. Probably the best carbonara pasta (with lobster) that I have tasted in my life. It was just perfect. Cozy place, asked for vaccinations, pizza for kids just delicious. Will definitely come back.
Food wasn’t hot- carbonara with egg on top was lukewarm. Egg was hard cooked which is not the usual presentation.
Eggplant Parmesan only lukewarm.
Overall, pleasant experience with excellent service.
I have dined here for 20 years and it’s always wonderful. The food was wonderful. The staff is attentive. From the hostess/coat check to the waitstaff and busboy, all made the evening a memorable exceptional experience.
Great service but food was average and portion was very small for cost. Ambiance comfortable but back room decorating didn’t match ambiance- lollipop pops and mannequins tacky.
Love this place! Great food and service! Feels like you are part pf the family!
Fantastic experience. Food and service were exceptional! Will definitely go again next time we are in nyc
Incredible place!! Everything was perfect. Highly recommend!! Can’t wait to come back.
Wonderful meal! Great place to enjoy wonderful Italian food with family.
Great food! Everything was delicious. Pretty crowded and tight seating. Loud but not atypical for NYC.
Great pre- show meal. Quick, delicious, with great atmosphere.
Delicious food! Started with the crispy roasted artichokes. Halibut was moist and delicious. Wait staff were attentive. Busy night in NYC, but didn’t make us feel rushed at all. Will definitely recommend to others.
We had Christmas Eve dinner and it was wonderful! It was definitely a modern family vibe and we had a great table on the upstairs level next to the railing with a great view. We started with a very unique quinoa, crabmeat and avocado salad, and then moved on to some fantastic pasta dishes, including broccoli rabe orecchiette with sausage and a homemade ravioli burrata. Dessert was a delightful Tartuffo encrusted with shaved chocolate. The only drawback was that there seemed to be a lot of confusion among wait staff--we weren't really sure who our waiter was and who had taken our drink orders. Given it was a packed house on a major holiday during pandemic times, it was still a wonderful evening.
It was wonderful!! We had a little bit of everything, we have meat and soup lovers in our family and 1 vegan, they had something for everyone. Waiter was super nice, it was our anniversary and he brought us a dessert with a sparkler on it.
Food was made before we ordered so there was no opportunity to change it (pancetta on the side , cheese, etc.). Disappointing
We had a wonderful meal. Our broadway show was canceled last minute due to Covid, and it allowed us to linger over this amazing feast. Service was impeccable, and it turned our evening around. Thank you.
