The food was incredible!!! The chicken parm with spicy pepperoni and ricotta was perfection as was everything from the antipasto bar and the calamari and octopus also a must get. Can’t wait to go back!
This place has been consistently good for the 20 plus years I have been going. Staff is always friendly and inviting... special call out to the coat check women... amazing personality!
A consistently reliable and pleasant place to be with people and enjoy drinks or dining.
As local New Yorkers, we have dined at Fireman's restaurants since forever. And we have never had a bad experience. Until tonight. It is completely unacceptable for a waiter to tell patrons of the restaurant that "there should be no billionaires and millionaires, and that the I wrote a play or script about how I kill them all" Then the waiter said "I am living Fireman's dream not my dream" Lovely. The Fireman restaurants are known for their hospitality. That has always been important to Fireman and his group. There was nothing hospitable about this waiter and how he made our table feel. We are all entitled to our political opinions. However, a waiter should never engage with patrons in such a manner. It's completely unacceptable.
Great Italian restaurant in the best location of Midtown. The food is very good and the service is excellent. we got our table on time.
Loved this place! Would definitely go back!
Great staff and service. No rush. Everyone in our group loved the food.
Loved the food, the tables are really close together so it is a tight fit but the food was worth it!
One of the best Italian restaurants in New York City - always a great experience!
Congrats to all from owner to staff!!!
Good food and nice service
We loved everything and especially our server Omar who was fun and fabulous.
Always excellent service and delicious food at Trattoria Dell'Arte - we're always treated like we're family! Our first choice among all the many dining options in New York City!
We ate here before going to New York City Center. The portions are enough to share, the food is excellent and service is always excellent.
Excellent service and large portions. Large space that is great for bigger parties.
I had made a reservation on Open Table which was accommodated. The Maitre D apologized that though i had requested a quiet table, there really were not quiet spots. He seated us towards the front of the restaruant in a large booth, which was perhaps the “quietest place”. Unfortunately we were near the entrance and it was very drafty and cold. The service however was excellent. Our waiter was kind and friendly and served us in a very timely fashion. The food was very well and the timing of the courses was great. We did not feel rushed. The location was perfect for my 91 year old aunt to be able to walk across the street to a concert at Carnegie Hall. The prices were a bit high, but location, location, location.
The food was, as always excellent. The service was perfect. We were there pre-concert, so the noise level was okay.
Such a convenient restaurant right across from Carnegie Hall.
Absolutely fantastic food - but if you order the 101-layer lasagna, you'd better be hungry! It's huge!
Fabulous place to eat! Great menu choices. Wonderful service.
Our dinner experience was fabulous. The service was impeccable and attentive. The food was delicious and comes out rather quickly when you are there for the early dinner service.
Very good italian food, pizza is fabulous, and the service is kind and fast.
Consistently good food. Attentive service.
We used to go here for dinner many times when we lived in Manhattan a decade ago. Some things were as good - our waiter was excellent - but some things looked like they had slipped....the food wasn't as hot as it should have been (that thin line when it is an annoyance rather than something to complain about) and it did look like they had tried to squeeze what customers in, we don't remember nearly sitting on someones lap!!!
All said, would we go back? Sure - the good more than outweighs the bad.....
A group of ten friends gathered early on Sunday before a performance at Carnegie Hall later that evening. I booked the table a few weeks in advance and asked if I could make arrangements to treat the table to wine and appetizers on a separate bill. Both my phone contact and our excellent waiter could not have been more accommodating. (My phone contact emailed a wine list to me.) Our waiter listened carefully to my request and kept our glasses filled. At his suggestion I ordered two pizzas to be shared with the drinks; they were delicious and the diners loved them. Our orders were taken and the entrees drew raves. We lingered over coffee and the bill for the drinks and entree was discreetly delivered to me.
Others in our party had dined at Trattoria Dell'Arte before; I had not. I can assure you that I will return for the excellent food and service!
The food is excellent and the service is best in class. Will definitely return. Thank you.
Here for Sunday brunch with a 7 year old.
The choices from the antipasti counter were disappointing. However the s’mores chocolate waffles were a big visual and taste wow. The dessert tartufo was oversized and delicious. The 7 year old hasn’t stopped talking about her meal. Pick your meal wisely, and this place is delicious fun.
We were seated 10 feet away from entrance but the host kept making people stand right next to our table. Not very comfortable when people stare at you and your food.
Plus, the Cold air was abundant, they probably should have installed more heaters or managed the swarm of people coming in and going better.
The napkins were soiled (not sanitary eh) but we got them replaced.
Waiters were in a rush to serve, so the would hear half the things and miss on the others.
Food was excellent but pricey though.
Overall a 3/5.
Great dining experience.
The food, the drinks, the staff and the timeliness were top notch. We are hooked and shall return!
On a recent trip to New York to see the Eagles, we went to your restaurant. The service was fantastic and the food was great as well. We both had the lasagna. Before the main dish we had their appetizer tray that was out of this world. I would recommend this place for all of your favorite Italian dishes. Leave room for desert- A must!
Amazing food! Portions are enormous and I wish we knew that before we ordered. Great service and hope to get back again soon.
A warm and welcoming place for a great meal. We had a party of three. Each one had something different: the veal, the tuna and the filet. Everything was perfect. Do not miss the artichoke appetizer.
The food us very good. My only recommendation is the portions are inconsistent. At our table of 3 one entre was huge and 2 were small. Desserts are fabulous and inventive.
A reliable classic
Dinner with friends before Carnegie Hall concert. Convenient location. Friendly service. Noise intrusive. Difficult to have a conversation. Portions large of ordinary food
The restaurant was packed as usual but they are never flustered , always try to accommodate everyone Food is always outstanding.
The hosts and hostesses found a table for me per my request the menu is varied and the food is excellent there a special deal Parmesan with pepperoni was spectacular as was the three choice of veggies from their appetizers a wonderful way to spend valentines day dinner
Service is friendly and efficient
Food was amazing, line was to the door all night but then it was valentines and we had a show across the street at Carnegie Hall. Very busy but they had us out the door in plenty of time. Overall, well worth the visit.
