Always delicious and consistent. We come every time we are here and it is a great experience
Love this restaurant
Our daughter performed at Carnegie Hall that evening.
Fantastic atmosphere and great Italian food!!
Favorite pizza! So good. And such an amazing atmosphere. A don’t miss spot.
Best thin crust pizza in the neighborhood. Service is fast and efficient.
Not great for a large group. Very loud and not equipped for such a group, took 25 minutes before we got get wine ordered and it was LOUD.
Delicious food in a very friendly restaurant. The wait staff was quick to fulfill every request. The veal in the veal piccata was so very tender. The minestrone was delicious on a cold evening—Full of spinach and other vegetables
Always fabulous. My “go-to” NY restaurant where they treat you like family!
We went in for an after theater meal. Had reservations and they seated us right away. The food was ok but really not anything worth what they were priced at. Heart of palm salad was good, the fried artichokes were almost painful to eat. They really should have been cleaned better before frying them. The pizza is definitely not the best despite claims to the contrary on the menu. Service was attentive but we tried to order three different bottles of wine and they were not the year that was advertised in the menu. Bit surprising that they would not update their wine menu and prices accordingly. It is a fun, lively environment but otherwise meh.
The restaurant was extremely crowded and exceptionally noisy. It was virtually impossible to engage in conversation with the noise level beyond imaginable. In addition, our dishes were served within minutes of ordering them as the waiters were intent on getting people fed and out as quickly as possible. Everything was rush-rush and intolerably noisy.
Food was cold. Service : unpleasant and the A/C was ON only turned it off after we complained
Tourist trap, nothing really tastes Italian, sounds Italian or looks Italian in there. Pre-made food, heated up in some ways with a lot of salt and peppers to give a little taste. Save yourself from a bad experience.
I’ve been going here for 30 years never disappointed. We are always made to feel at home. The veal Milanese is fantastic along with their version of carbonara.
We really enjoyed our meal experience and didn't want to leave. Since it's across from Carnegie Hall, I was worried that it might be bland and touristy, but far from it. The food was wonderful, the decor was stylish and the atmosphere was sophisticated. We hope to go back soon.
We were visiting NYC and staying at the Michelangelo Hotel, which is a short distance away, so convenience was a big plus. Our reservations were for Sunday, December 1st at 6:30. Although the weather was rainy and windy and trying to snow, the atmosphere inside was warm, friendly, and energetic. All four of us ordered different plates of food. We sampled each other’s plates and were surprised that ALL were equally wonderful. I had pizza and could not decide which I wanted most...the server suggested that I have half and half. (I had half Margherita and half meatball.) Without a doubt, it was the best pizza I have ever eaten. My husband had spaghetti and meatballs and said it was fantastic. One of our friends had lasagna and loved it. His wife ordered a pasta dish that she really enjoyed. We shared two desserts. Both were delicious. The service was over-the-top in every way, which greatly added to our overall experience. We will definitely return the next time we visit NYC. I only wish we had a restaurant like this in Atlanta!!!
Very good good good good good good good good good good
Always great as usual. Everyone love their entrees & desserts
Very accommodating... the other couple that was supposed to meet us informed us that their flight was late and they needed an extra half hour. We arrived promptly and explained the situation and the host modified our reservation even though it was a busy Saturday night. And then 10 minutes before the new reservation time, I received another message about extra traffic due to an accident, so we would be dining alone. The host was once again able to take care of us, and he was very gracious. He never made us feel like we were asking for anything special, even though we knew that we were messing up his schedule. And the food was fantastic. I had the lasagna (which had about 20 layers to it), and my wife enjoyed the scallops.
Meeting old friends for dinner
Everything was great
Trattoria Dell’Arte is one of our favorite restaurants in NYC. The food, the service, the convenient location, make it a regular for us.
Did not work for thanksgiving - meal was served cold and dried out, had been sitting pre- prepared all day and was not a good experience for the holiday.
Really nice place and service was great. Went for Thanksgiving doy with family and had a great time.
Celebrated my birthday here! The service was amazing and the food was incredible too.
Service was not attentive and second course and third course brought to table same time.
Small portions and expensive. I would not return
This was our second and last visit
Wonderful food and setting!
This restaurant is my first choice whenever I want to meet someone I consider important and especially when I want to be able to engage in a conversation without invasive noise. Secondly, the food is fresh and delicious and there is something on the menu for everyone. Milton Glaser's surrounding artwork just adds to the pleasure.
Pre- Carnegie Hall event
FANTASTIC experience for all of us. We loved the atmosphere and the food was phenomenal.
We come to this restaurant whenever we are in the city. Food, wine and service are All excellent.
1st time at this absolutely gorgeous restaurant. Greeted with a glass of champagne and shown to a delightful table for 2 in the window. Service was excellent! And the food: scallops were succulent and the meatballs old school. Then had the lobster carbonara which was sublime. Top it off with fine coffee and lemoncello tart and you can’t wait to come back! Great Sunday night!
We had the best service and food!
The veal milanese was amazing and we were greeted by a fantastic host and waiter.
Can't wait to come back!
Food was awesome and Benjamin at the bar was incredible!
The noise level is disturbing, it is not possible to have dinner in a place which such a noise.
I would recommend it just for the food, everything else is questionable
Always a favorite of ours when we visit NYC. Highly recommend this place.
I went to the restaurant with a family group of 12 relatives most of whom are VERY tall and they were also very anxious to eat; they were so anxious that they arrived early for the reservation and kept checking with the maitre d' about seating, The staff was extremely pleasant and patient; we were seated upstairs and had a nice view of Carnegie Hall. The food was great and all of the picky eaters in the group were happy. I would definitely recommend Trattoria Dell'Arte for the food, ambiance and gracious service.
Love, love this Restaurant, food always delizioso, Service impeccable, you can take your time you do not feel rushed.
